This time, I wanted to include hers.

Before my mom was “Mom,” she was a young woman navigating adulthood herself and then came the responsibility of raising a child alone with many challenges mentally and physically.

In this first episode of Untangled, we revisit the years we experienced homelessness together, the choices that were made, the moments that stayed with us, and what it means to look back with honesty instead of shame and blame.

Some questions are difficult to ask.

Some answers are even harder to hear.

But healing often begins with a vulnerable conversation.
