Mindfulness and contemplation instruction + guided Metta practice. December 23, 2023 live class.]]></title><description><![CDATA[<p>This is a dharma talk I gave to a meditation class I hosted from 2023 until 2025 in NJ, USA. In this talk we talk about refining our remedies for obstacles in meditation such as looping thoughts and tiredness.  We also discuss contemplation meditation and practice mindfulness, contemplation, and metta (loving kindness) meditation together. </p><p>Nervous system regulation is essential for meditation, and I offer 1:1 Zoom coaching for just that.  We often see mindfulness and meditation practice sold as a way to calm down, but in fact this can often leave people frustrated and worse yet, damaged from sitting with their anxiety and depression.  So, we need to regulate the nervous system a bit first before working deeply in meditation.  </p><p>That said, any of these instructions given in this podcast can be effective in daily life as well as in seated meditation practice, so there’s something for everyone here. </p><p>I offer a coaching practice to support the nervous system development of meditators and non-meditators. If you’re a non-meditator, the coaching practice might help you become one.</p><p>Just as meditation is a way to purify the mind, my coaching practice, based in Organic Intelligence theory, also serves as a supportive environment for balancing the nervous system.</p><p>You can think less and feel better without diving into painful backstories.</p><p>If you want to come out of spirals of anxiety or depression and try the effortless path of growth, contact me for information about a 1:1 zoom session.</p><p>Send a message that says “Easy” to start the conversation.
