If you think this is for you, subscribe. My first ten podcasts will be completely free and not behind a paywall.

This is the beginning of a movement, as pompous as that sounds.

Self-help and personal development used to be a solo project. This podcast changes that. While much of your personal development will happen on your own, this is one of the first pieces of that world that belongs to both you and your family.

Your family will generate and form around a set of agreed upon values that will make it easier to work together.

And yes, there will be many talks about wealth, and how to build it. But there’s little sense in buiding wealth if you and your family cannot keep it, so we will analyze civilization, history, financial strategies, case studies of successful families, and books that are helpful to these ends.

They will learn how to be successful. Money is just one metric, and it is a means to building human capital, which you will learn is the most important measurement.

They will learn how to be happy. Beyond a certain point, money can’t buy that. Trying to do otherwise is an expensive mistake.

They will learn how to be emotionally intelligent. Emotional intelligence breeds trust— the foundation of all relationships —the cornerstone of applied psychology. It will help your family work together, minimize conflict, and expand your connections. When you go against the crowd, you will do so by choice, not out of ignorance, and in a way that minimizes the negative costs.

Finally your family will learn how to be resilient. They will keep what they earn, and the value of their blood, sweat, and tears will be harder to confiscate. Follow the principles in this podcast, and each member of your family will be harder to catch, harder to hold, and harder to break.

This substack is also a community. We will share notes and succeed together. Substack might not be where this ends, but it is where this great journey begins.

Get full access to Wealth Across Generations at wealthacrossgens.substack.com/subscribe

David Allen

<itunes:author>David Allen</itunes:author><itunes:explicit>No</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>925</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://substackcdn.com/feed/podcast/9101270/post/198146141/9165b3cf2725fff3b86f9e0d73f9440d.jpg"/>
