Join us for a conversation that is more like a study in the practical application of surrender in our daily lives. We talk about stress and how it negatively impacts our health on a neurological level and how "practicing delight" can actually help to counteract the damage caused. Rachael injured her hand while cleaning her stove and shares with us some little known tips on treating minor burns.

This is a public episode. We delve into the different pet peeves we all have on a daily basis. From not replacing the toilet paper to leaving the last drops in the milk jug just to say “I didn’t drink it all”. Another thing most of us have in common??? The age old question of what to do with the last two pieces of bread that no one ever seems to like? My sisters and I share the well kept secret of how eating bread crusts when you’re young can actually give you curly hair (or not). And lastly, what morning conversation can really be complete without a little blood math? We discuss blood types and the negatives and positives of it (see what I did there?). Welcome to the sanity closet!

This is a public episode. I come from the estrogen capitol of that world! That being said, we have all journeyed through life and endured our fair share of life’s ups and downs as it were. We each have a unique viewpoint on life due to the different paths that we have taken.

My sisters and I are looking to build a community of women (men are welcome if they so wish) who wish to share their faith and love. Love of God, love of family, love of coffee, love of chocolate…I digress. Just as Aaron and Hur stood by Moses as the Israelites were fighting the Amalekites and held up his arms so the battle would go in his favor, we know the importance of supporting each other whether physically, emotionally or spiritually. It is so important for us all to know that we are not alone in life’s journey. No matter where you are in life, someone is there to help…we just need to ask. We know how busy and overwhelming life can be. This is why we all need a sanity closet from time to time. A grownup time out so you can take a minute to just breathe and know that God is in control and he will carry you. This podcast is meant to include real life. My sisters and I have a Whatsapp call every morning to fellowship with each other and provide support, sisterly advice, or a good laugh when needed. With that being said, we are recording this podcast during our morning call so that you are included in our daily life. This is also where you will see what life is like in a family of so many women!

The goal is to post once a week on Monday. This week, we are speaking about surrender. In particular, the trust that it takes for us to just let go and become like children on a car trip. They fall asleep trusting that they are safe in the car and BAM!! Wake up in a whole new state! This “time travel/teleportation” is only possible when there is trust and surrender.

We are just starting out and would love for you to join us in The Sanity Closet!

The song being used in this podcast is by Katie Marie Hillaert. It is available on YouTube and Spotify

This is a public episode.
