A graduate of Manchester University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Woody is a fantasy illustrator residing in Kansas City, MO, and originally hails from Northwest Indiana. Currently, he travels and sells his art at various Renaissance Fairs such as Bristol, Kansas City, St Louis and others. When feasible, Woody travels overseas to gain knowledge of the world and inspiration for his art. The stories he gains from these experiences nurture his passion for fantasy illustration and the ability to tell stories in that work, both traditional and digital alike. Culminating all of his inspirations and travels, his latest work in progress and his first book - Auveriah: Ascension, is coming to fruition thanks to its latest round of beta readers and will hopefully be published within a year.

Alex is An Award Winning Illustrator, Concept Artist, Maquette Sculptor and Art Director.

Growing up in the icy mountains of Vermont, he enjoyed drawing stories and playing Dungeons and Dragons to ward off the cold. Alex also spent hours in those formative years admiring the works of modern masters like Todd Lockwood, Chris Van Allsburg, James Gurney, and Brom. All of this eventually compelled him to seek out a career in fantasy illustration, where he has the freedom to create worlds and tell stories with pictures. The art he makes is meant to inspire people to remember that their inner kid can come along for the ride into adulthood and to spark imagination and wonder in those who take time out to view it.

Alex graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2008 with a Master’s degree in Illustration, and continues to pursue his passion for fantasy, sci-fi, and steampunk.

“Led by a desire to craft worlds, illustrator Nathan Deiwert (dye-wurt) creates imaginative creatures and characters that coincide with one another. Deiwert is driven to come up with new ways to develop familiar concepts in the form of paintings, digital illustrations, and visual development. From fear-inducing entities to happy moments, he creates work with thought and explores new ideas.

For Deiwert, active research is a considerable portion of the process of the creation of his art; be it artistic influences past and present, anatomy, or cultures. His favorite influences are presently Frank Frazetta, Norman Rockwell, N.C. Wyeth and Maxfield Parrish.”

Believe In Wonder is a youth focused publishing entity based in Portland, OR. We publish internally developed works like The Wonderous Science, YOU CAN RELY ON PLATYPI, and Crow in the Hollow, but also actively search out new and amazing works to bring to the public eye. Our focus is to promote imagination, inspiration, and positive thinking in kids and adults alike. In a time where social pressures and injustices threaten to take away our ability to dream of a better future, we hope to promote endeavors and education that uplifts and inspires, as well as provides creative outlets for the young and young at heart. We have an emphasis on bringing these opportunities to underrepresented communities and their allies, but we hope our work and message is embraced by many.

Brian W. Parker – AUTHOR,  ILLUSTRATOR, EDUCATOR and CREATOR OF THE FANTASTICAL

I grew up in Alaska, then Mississippi, and have always been in love with storytelling in every medium. Literature, movies, art, you name it! I have a BFA in graphic design and illustration, as well as a MA in writing and publishing, and worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for almost 15 years in music publishing, corporate marketing, and sports/entertainment.Now I spend my days working on in youth publishing (so cool, right?) and teaching about the creative process. I'm always trying to learn and grow in my craft and find that I am happiest when I'm striving to bring the works of my imagination to life, as well as sharing that experience with others. https://believeinwonder.com/
