The conversation explored how POWERUS is combining heavy-lift aircraft, artificial intelligence, autonomous navigation, and modular hardware to address missions across defense, agriculture, public safety, emergency response, and critical infrastructure.Marom begins by discussing his background in Israel, including his service in the IDF Intelligence Corps and his work in film production and visual effects. His experience operating cameras, sensors, helicopters, and drones eventually led him to establish Kaizen Aerospace, which now serves as POWERUS’ heavy-lift aviation division.A central focus of the interview is the company’s family of foldable, mission-configurable aircraft. POWERUS’ largest heavy-lift platform can carry payloads of up to 1,000 pounds, while hybrid configurations can remain airborne for more than seven hours depending on the mission. These capabilities open potential applications in cargo transportation, medical resupply, disaster relief, infrastructure maintenance, agriculture, firefighting, and personnel evacuation. The discussion also highlights POWERUS’ agricultural strategy. Autonomous aircraft equipped with cameras and specialized sensors can survey farmland for disease, pests, dryness, and other problems before dispatching a larger aircraft to treat only the affected area. This precision approach could reduce chemical use, lower operating costs, improve safety, and provide farmers with a faster return on investment than traditional aircraft-based spraying.Wildfire response represents another major opportunity. Marom explains how the company has developed technology capable of monitoring areas continuously, analyzing wind, heat, temperature, and sensor data, and distinguishing a developing wildfire from an ordinary fire. Once a threat is confirmed, autonomous aircraft could be deployed to contain it before it becomes a large-scale disaster.Underlying these applications is xNav, Kaizen Aerospace’s autonomous flight-control ecosystem. The system combines a ground station, an onboard computing layer, and aircraft flight controls to process sensor information, adjust missions in real time, avoid obstacles, operate beyond visual line of sight, and respond safely when communications or individual sensors are disrupted. The interview ultimately presents POWERUS as more than a drone manufacturer. Its strategy is to build complete, aviation-grade autonomous systems that integrate aircraft, software, sensors, payloads, and mission support. From precision agriculture and power-line inspections to emergency evacuation and counter-drone defense, the company is positioning its technology as a reusable foundation for a wide range of high-consequence missions. The broader takeaway is that autonomous aircraft are beginning to move beyond experimentation. As regulations evolve and commercial deployments expand, heavy-lift drones and AI-enabled flight systems could supplement helicopters, airplanes, cranes, and ground vehicles—reducing costs, reaching locations that conventional equipment cannot, and limiting the number of people placed in dangerous environments.

This is a public episode. Jeff Gabel

Thank you to everyone who tuned into my live video! Join me for my next live video in the app.

Zero Hour Group Goes Inside the Commercial Drone Alliance Leadership Summit

Zero Hour Group was on the ground in Washington, D.C., with official press access to one of the most important gatherings in the emerging drone economy.

Joined by investor and researcher Jeff Gabel, we broke down what industry leaders, government officials, investors, manufacturers, and operators are doing to move American drone technology forward.

The biggest takeaway was clear: drone dominance will require collaboration.

We discussed:

• Jeff’s concept of drone diplomacy and how autonomous technology is becoming a tool for strengthening alliances, creating jobs, securing borders, and expanding American influence• The importance of domestic manufacturing, trusted components, supply-chain security, and reducing reliance on foreign drone technology• How Part 108, beyond-visual-line-of-sight operations, and low-altitude airspace management could unlock commercial drone adoption• Government and private financing designed to help American drone companies scale production• Why counter-UAS security requires layered systems, coordinated agencies, trained operators, and a shared operational picture• The overlap between commercial and defense applications, from public safety and infrastructure inspection to battlefield autonomy• Performance Drone Works and the major financing support behind its manufacturing expansion• PowerUs, its heavy-lift drone platforms, and potential applications across defense, firefighting, agriculture, logistics, and public safety• Insights from geopolitical strategist Kate Burroughs-Jones, with more of Kate’s Take coming to Zero Hour Group• Upcoming exclusive interviews with PowerUs, Onra Technologies, and other leaders shaping the industry

The Commercial Drone Alliance Summit showed that the urgency surrounding American drone leadership has changed. The industry is no longer operating as a collection of isolated companies. Government, capital, technology, regulation, and manufacturing are beginning to move together as part of a larger national effort.

Zero Hour Group’s mission remains the same: retail investors for retail investors.

We are going into the rooms, meeting leadership face-to-face, and bringing our community information and access that retail investors rarely receive.

This was only Part One.
