Good, a mother of three and Minneapolis resident, was shot in the head while sitting in her SUV during an ICE operation in a residential neighborhood, just blocks from where George Floyd was killed

* Federal officials claim Good tried to run over agents with her vehicle, calling her actions an attempted attack on law enforcement. But video obtained by media outlets shows agents surrounding her car, shouting conflicting commands, and firing as the SUV moves forward, raising serious questions about whether the shooting was an act of self-defense or an abuse of force.

* The controversy escalated after Vice President JD Vance publicly backed the ICE officer and the decision to cut Minnesota investigators out of the case. Vance argued that the agent enjoys “absolute immunity” because he was performing federal duties, saying this is “a federal issue” and suggesting Good was responsible for her own death

* Critics say those remarks sound like a verdict from the White House before any independent investigation is complete. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has accused federal authorities of running a “propaganda machine” and warned that excluding state investigators makes a fair outcome “very, very difficult.”

* On the streets of Minneapolis, protests have grown, with demonstrators demanding justice for Renee Nicole Good and for ICE to leave the city. Schools have been closed amid fears of further unrest, while federal officials insist their operations will continue and that the shooting will be reviewed under federal protocols alone.

* For many, the question is no longer just what happened in those chaotic seconds on a Minneapolis street, but whether any federal officer can be held to account when the Vice President is already promising full protection.

Thanks for reading Totally Exposed! Prosecutors said the reimbursements were disguised as legal services to hide damaging information from voters and potentially violate election and tax laws.

https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:VA6C2:a07be7a4-f53a-483e-9e63-4b2b76612ff7

•	The New York case went to trial in April 2024 and on May 30 a jury found Trump guilty on all 34 counts, marking the first felony conviction of a former U.S. president. In January 2025, the judge imposed an unconditional discharge, meaning the conviction stands but Trump received no additional punishment such as prison time or probation

.

•	Separately, Trump faced a federal indictment in Washington, D.C., on four counts over his efforts to overturn the 2020 election and his conduct around the January 6 Capitol attack, including conspiracy to defraud the United States and obstruct an official proceeding. Another sweeping state case in Georgia accused him and allies of election interference in that state.

•	He was also indicted in federal court in Florida over his handling of classified documents after leaving office, including dozens of counts for willfully retaining national defense information and obstructing efforts to retrieve it. Together, these election and documents cases—plus the New York hush money case—brought the total to 88 criminal charges.

•	Since his reelection campaign and return to the presidency, the legal landscape has shifted: the Georgia state case has been dropped by a new prosecutor, and the two federal cases over the 2020 election and classified documents have been resolved or set aside rather than brought to trial. That leaves the New York conviction as the only active criminal judgment on Trump’s record, even as multiple civil cases against him continue on appeal.

Thanks for reading Totally Exposed! In 1962, the Pentagon proposed sinking ships, causing attacks and even destroying an unmanned plane disguised as a civilian to mount a story of "enemy attack" that would open the door to a total military operation against the island. That plan was not executed, but it remained as written proof that, when there is a strategic interest, Washington is able to fabricate pretexts, manipulate the media and turn the victim into an aggressor.

in Venezuela, the story was recycled with another name and another enemy. The capture of Nicolás Maduro by US forces, with selective bombing and special commands, is presented as an act of justice and defense against "narcoterrorism", even if there is no authorization from the UN and the sovereignty of a country with the largest oil reserves in the world is fully violated. The official discourse repeats the formula: a demonized leader, a State pointed out as a threat and a military operation wrapped in the flag of democracy to hide geopolitical and energetic interests.

And here comes in Mexico. For years, sectors in Washington and President Donald Trump himself have flirted with the idea of using the US army against Mexican cartels, even designating them as "terrorist organizations" to open the legal door to direct military operations. Options for attacks with drones, special commands, missiles against laboratories and "high-value targets" in Mexican territory have been seriously discussed, as if it were a new "war against the narco" but now managed from the Pentagon.

That means that the script is ready: if tomorrow the White House decides that the cartels represent an "existential threat" to the United States, it can sell an intervention as an operation to "protect American families from fentanyl," exactly as it sold the capture of Maduro as a defense against a "narco-regime." What they prove today in Venezuela - lightning operations, selective attacks, regime change without asking permission from anyone - may be the dress rehearsal of what they try tomorrow in Mexico using the cartels as a perfect excuse.

The risks have already been simulated by military analysts and study centers: they talk about attack plans, authorization to use force against cartels, troops and assets deployed near the border, an increase in surveillance flights and a discourse that normalizes treating Mexico as one more theater of war in the "war against drugs." To top it off, some Washington think tanks push to "militarize" the fight against the cartels and assume them as a military enemy, not just a criminal one, opening the door to justify raids, bombings and covert operations without the full endorsement of the Mexican government.

Therefore, when talking about Northwoods and Venezuela, it must be said with all its letters: if the United States has already allowed itself to design false attacks against Cuba and today captures a foreign president with the flag of "narcoterrorism", tomorrow it can use the cartels to try to do the same with Mexico. If Mexico does not protect its sovereignty, expels operations out of control and stops depending on "security" made in the USA, it runs the real risk that the next "surgical" operation will not be in Caracas... but in Mexican territory, with the perfect pretext of the cartels and the same end as always: more war, more death and more external control over a country that should never have been treated as a security colony of any empire.

Thanks for reading Totally Exposed! For La Moneda, any unilateral military action, such as the one deployed by Washington in Venezuelan territory, constitutes a serious precedent for the region and threatens the stability of Latin America and the Caribbean.

* The statement of the Chilean government adds to the reactions of other countries and political blocs that have denounced the US intervention and have called for the immediate cessation of hostilities. In the same vein, Chile insisted that only a process of inclusive dialogue, supported by multilateral mechanisms, will allow a political outlet that addresses the political, social and humanitarian crisis that hits the Venezuelan population.

* From Santiago, the call also aims to avoid a further escalation of the conflict and new violations of human rights on the ground. The Chilean Executive stressed that the international community must concentrate its efforts on accompanying credible negotiations between the Venezuelan parties, instead of endorsing or tolerating military actions that may lead to an open confrontation with unpredictable consequences for the region.

This is a public episode. Groups of protesters took to the streets earlier this week, setting fire to the United States flag in a fiery act of defiance. The demonstration, organized by leftist collectives aligned with the Nicolás Maduro government, was a direct response to new U.S. sanctions targeting Venezuelan oil exports and high-ranking officials.

* Chants of “¡Fuera el imperialismo!” filled Plaza Bolívar as demonstrators waved banners accusing Washington of attempting to “strangle” Venezuela’s economy. According to state-controlled media, the protest was framed as an act of “sovereign resistance” against what the Maduro administration describes as decades of U.S. interference in Latin America.

* Meanwhile, U.S. officials have condemned the flag burning, calling it a “symbol of desperation” and reaffirming that the sanctions are aimed at pressuring Maduro’s regime, not the Venezuelan people. Human rights observers, however, warn that rising anti-American rhetoric could fuel violence and deepen divisions within an already polarized nation.

* Analysts note that this act carries heavy symbolism beyond Venezuela. It signals the growing frustration across parts of Latin America toward U.S. foreign policy—especially as Washington pushes for democratic reforms and tougher sanctions in the region. For many Venezuelans struggling with economic collapse, the protest reflects anger toward both foreign powers and domestic elites seen as complicit in years of crisis.

* Whether this was a state-backed show or a genuine outpouring of anger is still unclear. But one thing is certain—the burning of the U.S. flag in Caracas adds one more spark to the geopolitical tension between Washington and the Maduro government, and it could shape the tone of U.S.-Venezuela relations heading into 2026.

Thanks for reading Totally Exposed!

Thanks for reading Totally Exposed!

Thanks for reading Totally Exposed! The country has emerged as one of the biggest beneficiaries of the US-China trade war, seizing market share and deepening trade ties with its northern neighbor.

In 2023, Mexico surpassed China as the United States’ largest supplier of goods — and by 2025, it also became America’s top export destination for the first time in more than three decades. Through September, the US trade deficit with Mexico stood at $192 billion, slightly below America’s $239 billion deficit with China — a dramatic shift from 2018, when China’s imbalance topped $400 billion.

The real pivot, however, came in December when Mexico’s Congress approved new tariffs of up to 50% on Chinese imports, a move widely interpreted as a signal of strategic alignment with Washington. President Claudia Sheinbaum framed the measure as a push to protect national manufacturing, but political observers saw a deeper intent: tightening North America’s trade circle ahead of the 2026 USMCA review

.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration’s heavy-handed tariff campaigns haven’t derailed Mexico’s rise. Even after rounds of duties targeting Mexican steel, autos, and raw materials, the country’s exports to the US grew 7.9% in November, marking a solid $663 million trade surplus.

Mexico’s balancing act — navigating nationalist economic policies in Washington while protecting its domestic industries — has positioned it as a new power broker in global trade. As the US and China remain locked in an economic standoff, the quiet winner of the conflict might not be in Beijing or Washington — but south of the Rio Grande.

Thanks for reading Totally Exposed! Although international organizations predict a growth of around 0.5 to 1% in 2025, they highlight the country’s ability to withstand a complicated global environment

.

• The federal government promotes the “Mexico Plan”, a national strategy to make the most of this nearshoring with tax incentives, fewer procedures and projects designed for small and medium-sized companies. The decree, published in January 2025, allows the immediate deduction of investments in new fixed assets until 2030, which seeks to accelerate the arrival of productive capital and technology.

• In real life, this is already reflected in exports: business organizations project that Mexican sales abroad may grow by around 6% in 2025, driven precisely by companies that are moving or expanding operations in the country. The most dynamic poles continue to be the northern states, such as Nuevo León, Baja California and Chihuahua, where automotive and electronic clusters are concentrated that lead the demand for infrastructure and energy.

• In infrastructure, Mexico is betting heavily on the rebirth of the passenger and freight train. Projects such as the Mayan Train and the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec are now integrated with new railway plans that add up to more than 3,000 kilometers of tracks in different phases. The goal is clear: to move more cargo by train over long distances and connect historically forgotten regions with large national and international markets.

• In the southeast, the Mayan Train advances with almost finished engineering studies and with the implementation of services such as the Campeche light rail and a loading strategy that is coordinated with the Yucatan industry. At the same time, the Interoceanic Corridor already operates key sections and adds new stations and development poles in places such as Tapachula, Arriaga and several points of the Isthmus, seeking to detonate employment and industrial parks near the ports

.

• In the center and north of the country, the new government started railway works that will connect Felipe Ángeles International Airport with Pachuca, as well as the Mexico-Querétaro section of the Mexico-Nogales train, which aims to move millions of passengers a year. The Querétaro-Irapuato and Saltillo-Nuevo Laredo sections are also being prepared, key to connecting the Bajío and the northeast with the border and export supply chains.

• All of these projects are combined with special incentives for export industries and border regions, including fuel tax reductions and extended tax benefits for companies that settle in strategic sectors. The underlying bet is that, although growth today is modest, the new infrastructure and nearshoring will consolidate Mexico as a first-level logistics and manufacturing node in North America in the next decade.

Thanks for reading Totally Exposed!

Thanks for reading Totally Exposed! The controversy erupted when internal Justice Department emails, released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, surfaced with explicit references to a group of “10 co‑conspirators” tied to Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking network

.

In a July 7, 2019 email, sent just one day after Epstein’s arrest, DOJ officials requested an update on “the status of the 10 co‑conspirators,” suggesting an active effort to track and potentially charge multiple individuals around Epstein. A follow‑up message two days later noted that grand jury subpoenas had already been served on six targets in Florida, Boston, New York, and Connecticut, while four remained outstanding. Those same files describe both a seven‑page memo outlining “co‑conspirators we could potentially charge” and an 86‑page “co‑conspirator update memo,” indicating detailed investigative work on a broader network.

Those disclosures now sit in stark contrast with Patel’s recent testimony to lawmakers, where he insisted there was “no credible information” that Epstein trafficked victims to other powerful associates. Members of Congress argue that the DOJ emails prove that federal authorities not only identified potential co‑conspirators years ago, but also built extensive case files on them that never resulted in full public accountability.

Anger on Capitol Hill has been intensified by the way the Justice Department has handled the document release. Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, passed with overwhelming bipartisan support and signed by President Donald Trump, the DOJ was legally required to release all Epstein‑related records by December 19, 2025. Instead, the department has staggered the files out in waves, while admitting that it has found “over a million more documents” that could be relevant and may take “a few more weeks” to process

.

Lawmakers from both parties say that explanation is not good enough. Some of the newly released files arrived so heavily redacted that entire sections—119 pages in one instance—appear as nothing but black rectangles, fueling suspicions that authorities are still shielding high‑profile figures. A group of senators has called for an audit of the DOJ’s compliance with the law, accusing the department of violating a clear statutory deadline and undermining public trust in the promised transparency.

The political pressure is especially intense for Attorney General Pam Bondi and the leadership at Justice. The bipartisan authors of the Transparency Act, Representatives Thomas Massie and Ro Khanna, have warned they are prepared to pursue contempt proceedings if the department does not fully comply with the law’s disclosure requirements. Other lawmakers have gone further, openly suggesting that if Patel’s testimony is proven false, he could face potential perjury exposure—an accusation that, if formalized, would mark a stunning escalation in the standoff between Congress and the country’s top domestic security agency.

Beyond the legal and political stakes, the newly released material is once again reviving the central unresolved question of the Epstein story: who else, if anyone, benefitted from or participated in his sprawling abuse network and why the full truth has never been formally aired in court. With more files still to come and pressure mounting for unredacted disclosures, the fight over the Epstein documents is rapidly becoming a proxy battle over government secrecy, elite impunity, and whether the system will ever fully reckon with one of the most notorious criminal cases of the century.

Thanks for reading Totally Exposed!

Thanks for reading Totally Exposed! The decision comes shortly after Donald Trump’s administration expanded the U.S. travel ban, adding 20 new countries to the list—including Niger itself

.

According to government officials in Niamey, the suspension is a direct act of reciprocity, meant to reflect what they call “unjust and discriminatory measures” imposed by Washington. The ban affects all categories of entry, from tourism to business and humanitarian visits, and is described as permanent until further notice.

The expanded U.S. travel ban, set to take effect on January 1, 2026, mostly affects African and Middle Eastern countries. Nationals from Syria, South Sudan, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Palestinian territories face full entry restrictions, while citizens from 15 other nations will encounter tight limits on student and employment visas.

In response, Niger’s foreign ministry released a pointed statement, emphasizing that nations must be treated with respect and equality. Analysts say this decision could mark the beginning of a new wave of retaliatory measures among African nations feeling targeted by U.S. immigration policy.

Niger’s move follows a similar decision by Chad, which earlier this year suspended all visas for American citizens. President Mahamat Idriss Déby called that act “a matter of dignity and national sovereignty.”

Diplomatic experts warn that the standoff could strain U.S.–Africa relations, especially at a time when Western influence on the continent faces growing competition from China, Russia, and regional alliances seeking to assert independence.

For now, Americans hoping to travel to Niger for work, journalism, or humanitarian aid should suspend all plans. The country’s immigration offices have been instructed to reject all new applications from U.S. citizens, effective immediately.

Thanks for reading Totally Exposed! A spokesperson told The Times the force is “engaging with relevant agencies to obtain access to the redacted information,” emphasizing that no formal complaint had been filed locally regarding the alleged incidents.

The fresh inquiry stems from a heavily redacted FBI document suggesting an individual was taken to properties in Surrey in the mid-1990s, where Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell and Andrew were allegedly present. The claims remain unverified, but investigators say they are reviewing whether the information contained in the U.S. case files warrants further action in the U.K.

Thanks for reading Totally Exposed! Their statement underscores growing pressure on British authorities to reexamine old ties and allegations linked to the late financier’s network, especially as new evidence emerges through the court-mandated disclosures.

Prince Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. In 2022, he settled a civil suit with Virginia Giuffre—who alleged he assaulted her when she was a minor trafficked by Epstein—without admitting liability. The agreement effectively ended his public life, forcing him to withdraw from royal duties and, in 2025, cost him his remaining titles after renewed scrutiny.

While the Metropolitan Police maintain they will not reopen their own previous assessment of related allegations in London, this development in Surrey adds a new dimension to the ongoing fallout.

Thanks for reading Totally Exposed! But, a few hours after the broadcast, CBS decided to download a 60 Minutes report about one of the most feared prisons on the continent: the CECOT, in El Salvador.

The CECOT, the Terrorism Confinement Center, is Nayib Bukele’s mega-prison, built in Tecoluca and designed to lock up tens of thousands of people in a single maximum security complex. Double walls, watchtowers, electrified fences and zero transparency. Organizations and journalistic reports describe this place as a machine of mass punishment: overcrowding, torture, lack of real access to lawyers and families, and conditions classified as inhumane.

The 60 Minutes report focused on people deported from the United States and sent directly to the CECOT, where they denounce beatings, abuses and a regime designed to break anyone who enters. The material had already been reviewed and approved internally, even promoted on the network itself.

However, hours before going on the air, the new head of news, Bari Weiss, ordered it to be removed, arguing that ‘it was not ready’. Within the team itself, this decision was seen as political, not editorial. Correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi questioned that, if the media wait for the approval of the power, censorship has already won.

Today, fragments of the report circulate online and in other countries, exposing not only the brutality of the CECOT, but also the fear of a giant media to face the consequences of telling this uncomfortable story.

This is a public episode. They allege the Justice Department continues to obstruct transparency in the investigation surrounding Epstein’s powerful network, leaving questions about accountability unanswered.

Critics argue CBS’s decision represents not an editorial judgment, but political submission — a chilling signal of how corporate influence and government pressure can undermine journalistic independence. Industry watchdogs are now demanding the release of the full, unaired report, calling this a “critical test” for freedom of the press in the United States.

Public attention is intensifying as survivors and advocacy groups pressure Congress to probe both the Justice Department’s conduct and potential interference in the media’s coverage of the case.

In the words of one media analyst: “When the truth offends power, that’s precisely when journalism must show courage — not compliance.”

Thanks for reading! But there is a question that their own speech avoids: why can’t they - or don’t want to - fight the problem within their own country?

Every year, more than 100,000 Americans die from an overdose, mainly of fentanyl. The streets of cities like Philadelphia, Los Angeles or San Francisco show scenes of humanitarian crisis: people consuming in broad daylight, entire neighborhoods dominated by addiction. Despite that, Washington prefers to point out Mexico or Colombia as the culprits.

The double speech is evident. The United States tolerates a pharmaceutical system that for years enriched corporations such as Purdue Pharma, directly responsible for the opioid epidemic. There are no equivalent sanctions, no troops in their own territory, no military objectives... only silence and propaganda.

Meanwhile, the DEA, the Pentagon and intelligence agencies are intensifying their presence in Latin America, as if the root of the disaster were outside their borders. But the drug does not cross only through tunnels: the demand occurs in the very heart of the United States, among a society sick of consumption, inequality and hopelessness.

The real war on drugs is not fought in Mexico or Colombia: it should be fought on the streets of the United States, against its own system of complicity, addiction and profit.

This is a public episode. While the government boasts that it fights the cartels and declares the CJNG as a terrorist organization to justify sanctions, pressure and militarization, one of its key men in the DEA, Paul Campo, ended up accused of offering to launder millions of dollars and help in cocaine operations and possible weapons for that same cartel. He was not just any agent: he was the narco’s finance expert, the one who knew routes, accounts and holes in the system... and used that power to sit on the side of the dirty money, not on the side of the victims.

Here you can see Washington’s double standard. On the one hand, the United States government points to Mexico, demands more control, presumes sanctions against the CJNG and speaks of “national security” and “defense against fentanyl.” But on the other hand, it allows officials to grow within their own institutions who negotiate with those who flood both countries with drugs and violence, taking advantage of the access that the State itself gave them. That is not an isolated mistake: it is proof that the so-called “war on drugs” is rotten from within and that corruption is not only a Mexican problem, but a cancer embedded in the heart of the American security apparatus.

Today the United States points the finger, but does not look in the mirror. He declares terrorists to the cartels to tighten laws and controls in the region, while keeping intact the flow of weapons that crosses its border to Mexico and the financial system that launders organized crime capitals. If the US government really wanted to stop narco-violence, it would have started years ago by thoroughly cleaning up its security elite, cutting money, closing the arms market and punishing its own banks and officials involved. The Campo case exposes another uncomfortable truth: the United States not only fights the narco, it has also benefited from the business, and when one of its own falls, it is not an isolated scandal... it is the portrait of an empire that plays on both sides.

This is a public episode.

This is a public episode. Today the focus is also on the social and economic advances that are reconfiguring the country.

First, the federal government confirmed a new 13% increase in the minimum wage by 2026, which represents more than 150% of cumulative increase since 2018 and one of the strongest leaps in purchasing power in Mexico’s recent history. International organizations and analysts recognize that this policy of decent pay has been key to more than 11–13 million people getting out of poverty in recent years.

Secondly, the social programs of the 4T are consolidated as the backbone of the new model: universal pensions for older adults, scholarships for students and support for young people who work or are trained have led to direct transfers to millions of households that were previously abandoned by the State. Recent studies show that a majority of the population perceives these programs as positive and effective in reducing vulnerability and inequality.

Third: in the real economy, Mexico remains as the star destination of “nearshoring”, with the “Plan Mexico” strategy that offers tax incentives and up to 30 billion pesos for new investments, especially in manufacturing, innovation and dual training for workers. Cities such as Monterrey, Tijuana and Ciudad Juárez lead the arrival of new plants and industrial jobs, while the government is committed to doubling the capacity of clean energy by 2030.

Finally, the fact that breaks the discourse of the disaster: for the first time in history, the government affirms that there are more Mexicans classified as middle class than Mexicans in poverty, a profound turn if compared to the decades of the old neoliberal model. The Fourth Transformation is thus presented as a project that, with all its challenges and criticisms, is moving the balance towards higher wages, less poverty and a State that prioritizes those below.

Thanks for reading! Meteorologists describe it as a moderate‑to‑strong atmospheric river that could bring 2 to 4 inches of rain to coastal and valley areas, and even more in the mountains, raising the risk of flooding, rockslides, and dangerous driving conditions through December 26.

Weather and travel impact

In Southern California, the heaviest rain is expected between December 23 and Christmas Eve, with showers lingering into Christmas Day for Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire, and San Diego, right when freeways and airports are already crowded by the holiday rush. In the Bay Area and along the North Coast, forecasters say storms will begin impacting travel from today, with swelling rivers, wet roads, and possible landslides threatening to complicate long‑distance trips up and down the state.

Power and infrastructure

After a massive power outage in San Francisco this weekend left about 110,000 customers in the dark and disrupted trains and traffic, crews report that electricity has now been restored to most of the affected neighborhoods, but the episode highlighted how vulnerable the grid is ahead of the incoming storms. In Southern California, traffic authorities are already dealing with deadly crashes and lane closures on key routes like the 5 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley, warning that wet roads and higher volumes of cars over the next few days could lead to more serious accidents.

Politics and public safety

On the political front, Governor Gavin Newsom is promoting a new package of roughly 52 million dollars in state funds for cities to build housing and infrastructure, arguing that investment in local projects is crucial as the economy slows and homelessness remains visible in big metro areas. In Los Angeles, a new investigation reveals that the Fire Department edited its official report on the deadly Palisades Fire, softening or removing language that described leadership “failures,” which is now fueling questions about transparency and accountability in how the city handles major disasters.

Human stories and local incidents

Fire crews in Alhambra confirm that a house fire late Friday left one person dead, and neighbors say they rushed to help as flames tore through the home, a reminder of how quickly holiday season can turn tragic for families. Across smaller communities in Northern California, first responders are also dealing with fallen trees and rockslides on rural roads as winter officially begins, signs that today is just the opening chapter of what could be a very intense end‑of‑year weather pattern for the entire state.

Thanks for reading! For Substack, this issue mixes politics, justice and media narrative: the president, now back in the White House, appears both as a signatory of the law that obliges files to be uncovered and as one of the recurring names in Epstein’s social environment.

• The “Epstein files” include emails, photos, flight logs, internal reports from the Department of Justice and material seized from Epstein’s assets, which for years remained fragmented, sealed or under strong reserve.

• Congress passed a specific law to force its publication, with bipartisan support, in an attempt to respond to public anger at the feeling of impunity and protection of powerful characters.

Trump in the center of the archive

• Trump appears in photos recovered from Epstein’s properties, posing at social gatherings alongside other important names such as Bill Clinton, Bill Gates and high-profile media and political figures.

• Previous judicial documents had already indicated that the former president was mentioned in materials linked to Epstein, under procedural aliases and as part of the financier’s frequent contact circle, although without direct criminal charges derived from those documents.

The political turn: law signed by Trump

• In a movement full of political irony, Trump himself signed the law that forces the archives to be declassified, seeking to present himself as the president who “opens” Epstein’s black box to public opinion.

• His allies argue that the publication will show that there was a much broader elite involved with Epstein, including Democratic figures and the global establishment, while his critics assure that the archive will exhibit contradictions in his relationship with the millionaire.

This is a public episode.
