It’s an embodied practice. It’s something we live and breathe. Each episode of the Embodied Change Podcast explores how tuning in to the body can transform the way we move through the world. Through conversations with mind–body experts, psychEd discussions, personal stories, and practical somatic techniques, we’ll uncover what it takes to create change that begins from within — change that’s grounded, sustainable, and deeply human.

embodiedchangepodcast.substack.com

Embodied Change Podcast

Embodied Change Podcast

en

embodiedchangepodcast@substack.com
<itunes:new-feed-url>https://api.substack.com/feed/podcast/6650205.rss</itunes:new-feed-url><itunes:author>Embodied Change Podcast</itunes:author><itunes:subtitle>Change isn’t just an idea.</itunes:subtitle><itunes:type>episodic</itunes:type><itunes:owner><itunes:name>Embodied Change Podcast</itunes:name><itunes:email>embodiedchangepodcast@substack.com</itunes:email></itunes:owner><itunes:explicit>No</itunes:explicit><itunes:category text="Health & Fitness"><itunes:category text="Mental Health"/></itunes:category><itunes:category text="Education"/><itunes:image href="https://substackcdn.com/feed/podcast/6650205/0c6f2c5c7ce1ca8a45ac2f3718834b00.jpg"/>

How Traditional Chinese Medicine Influences Our Lifestyle with Dr. Dongcheng Li

In our latest episode of the Embodied Change Podcast, I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Dongcheng Li, Dean of Chinese Medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine, about how Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) shapes the way we understand health, prevention, and daily living.

In this conversation, Dr. Li explores:

✨ Health vs. “Dis-ease” – Why Chinese medicine focuses on restoring ease and functional balance before pathology appears.
✨ Root vs. Symptom – How a headache might be treated through the feet via meridian pathways.
✨ Food as Daily Medicine – Why seasonal eating matters.
✨ Human Constitutions – How personalized lifestyle guidance (Yin-deficient, Qi-deficient, damp types, etc.) helps prevent illness.
✨ Emotional Health – The role of the seven emotions in physical wellbeing — and why balance is so important.
✨ Living with the Seasons – Adjusting sleep, movement, and diet to align with winter, summer, and transitional periods.

If you’re interested in holistic health and practical strategies you can apply today (from improving digestion to optimizing sleep rhythms), this episode offers timeless wisdom.

This is a public episode. You have to feel your way there.

For most of my life, I tried to create change through mindset, strategy, and hard work alone. It got me far until it didn’t.

I went through cycle after cycle of burnout, running myself ragged, and working against myself.

Eventually, I realized my body had been trying to tell me what my mind was overriding.

That moment led me to somatics, to a more human-centered approach to healing, and to a deeper way of being in my own life.

This work is more than a podcast; it’s a movement toward human-centered change from the inside out.

💫 Episodes of the Embodied Change Podcast will explore various facets of embodied change, including but not limited to the following:

✅ Conversations with practitioners and leaders
✅ Psychology + nervous system education
✅ Somatic practices
✅ Stories of lived experience
✅ Tools for grounded, sustainable growth

🎧 Episode 1 is live: “When Change Lives in the Body”

This first episode offers a short introduction to embodied change, including what it is, why it matters, and how we can work with ourselves instead of against ourselves.

If you like what you hear:
✅ Follow the show on your favorite podcast platform
✅ Listen + subscribe on Substack @embodiedchangepodcast
✅ Share it with someone who might be interested

Here’s to change that starts in the body and expands into the world. 🌿

#EmbodiedChange #Somatics #NervousSystem #HealingCentered #Leadership #TraumaInformed #PodcastLaunch #EmbodiedLeadership

This is a public episode.
