Shari is a mother, speaker, entrepreneur, mentor and connector. Her expertise in NVC takes her back to her training with the late Marshall Rosenburg, who founded NVC during the civil rights movement in the 1960s in response to the need to resolve conflict.

Shari’s work in NVC spans 25 years and has empowered leaders to build an authentic understanding of themselves, their people and customers leading to collaborative and meaningful solutions.

This work is revolutionary. I’ve personally been a practitioner of NVC for 6 years. This practice moves away from the good vs bad or right vs wrong that’s embedded in western culture to go deeper, to hold authenticity and empathy. When one takes the time to connect and get to the heart of one another’s needs and values - what’s really important, that’s when solutions, the pathway forward, organically finds their way into the conversation.

You can work with Shari directly. Please check out the links and resources below to find out more.

Please leave a comment about how you found the show. It helps the podcast hugely, and I would be so grateful if you took a moment to do so.

Mauri ora, Cleo

Connect with ShariWebsite: CommunicationGroup.com.auYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@sharielle1LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/shari-elle/

15:40 Gallup Strengths article https://www.gallup.com/workplace/349484/state-of-the-global-workplace.aspx

36:10 - Marshall Rosenberg’s book, A Language Of Life. https://www.cnvc.org/store/nonviolent-communication-a-language-of-life

Podcast Chapters

* 00:00 - 02:28 Wā Podcast intro and acknowledgements.

* 02:29 - 08:13Shari Elle of The Living Work: Nonviolent Communication, A Language of Connection.

* 08:14 - 11:00 Remembering Marshall Rosenburg, The Visionary.

* 11:01 - 13:09The energy that comes from giving your gifts + self trust.

* 13:10 - 17:00How leaders can empower and inspire creativity and authenticity in their people.

* 17:01 - 43:05Examples of Nonviolent Communication.

* 43:06 - endNonviolent Communication is revolutionary work.

This is a public episode. As his only student formally conferred the title of Master according to lineage tradition, she carries forward a rare and unbroken heritage of Dao wisdom.

Born into the living traditions of Feng Shui and martial arts in Malaysia, she began training in Southern Shaolin at age four and was initiated into Feng Shui as a lived practice in her teens. Her journey bridges worlds from scientist and global business leader to Feng Shui Master and visionary guide.

Today, Master Boon transforms homes, workplaces, and property developments into systems of harmony, prosperity, and wellbeing — continuing the legacy of her late father, whose Feng Shui shaped entire townships into thriving communities. Inspired by his life’s work, she envisions one day creating cities founded on the same principles of balance and vitality.

Her self-designed “Feng Shui Palace” was featured on Grand Designs New Zealand, and her work spans five continents.
