At night, the lights stirred on their own, and the Ferris wheel began its slow, deliberate turning, powered by something deeper than gears.

People went in, drawn by curiosity or fog or fate. None returned.

Those who rode the wheel rose through shifting worlds — the fairgrounds, the forest, a sea of bones drifting beneath the mist. At the top, the lights died, and a figure always appeared in the opposite seat, breathing wrong, watching too closely. By dawn, the wheel spun with one more silent shape caught in its orbit.

They say the carnival takes what it needs to stay balanced. And if you hear its music drifting through the fog…don’t look up.

Get full access to Sylvienne Ethara at sylvienneethara.substack.com/subscribe

Sylvienne Ethara and Gary Mucklow

<itunes:author>Sylvienne Ethara and Gary Mucklow</itunes:author><itunes:explicit>No</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>271</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://substackcdn.com/feed/podcast/5101371/post/179990115/7a253ca65bc6f50bbdf482ad64a649a1.jpg"/>

Now On Audio: Flight HVA 311: The Vale Divergence

The hum came first. Then the lights blinked, as if the plane were thinking.Passengers saw colors without names.Something watched them. And when the world tore open,HVA 311 fell into the Echo Plane.

Only one came home. And she came back wrong.

This Substack appreciates your subscriptions, follows, and donations. His stories carry weight. His voice carries warmth. And his mission? It’s personal.

In this episode of The Writer’s Quill, we talk about:

* His journey from military service to fiction writing

* The power of purpose-driven storytelling

* The emotional fire behind Rebellis

* Why the stories we tell now might be the ones that save us later

As someone who grew up shaped by powerful narratives — especially those rooted in resilience and justice — I walked away from this interview moved, inspired, and grateful.

Clay doesn’t just write stories. He writes a testament. And today, on this day of remembrance and respect, I want to say:I’m proud of our veterans. I’m proud of Clay. And I’m so proud to share this conversation with you.

🎧 Listen now — and if you’re looking for a book that hits like a truth-seeker with steel in its spine?🔥 Grab a copy of Rebellis(and his first two as well) — you won’t forget it.
