The former group mentored the other. You could say that the men who wrote those ancient texts were the BLUEPRINT for the modern day grifters that walk amongst us.

Whatever you believe about organised religions (whether they be Abrahamic or otherwise), the fact is that we have to be realistic about our perceptions and expectations of flawed men. Who, to begin with, are men - let's start there.

We have little to no evidence in modern history that points to men’s overdose of imbalanced power being good for people or planet (much less spiritual sensibilities). They are masters at scattering sense, reproducing dysfunction, advancing destruction and sowing confusion. Why would that be different because they have an ambiguous title and an old book or scroll in their possession?

My father always tells me to “take the good, and leave the rest”. I implore us all to employ that philosophy. Life is rarely clean cut lines and defined categories of good and evil (as much as we would like it to be), so having a ‘BS filter’ that is attuned to your intuition, is important.
