The crispness in the air, the colors shifting, pumpkins lining porches, the coziness of warm drinks, and fall layers. It’s magical. But if we’re honest, it can also bring a little pressure. The days are shorter. The holidays are creeping closer. And suddenly, the end of the year feels like it’s racing toward us.

That’s where the October Theory comes in. It’s the idea that October isn’t just another month—it’s a reset button. It’s a reminder that the year isn’t over, not even close. There’s still time to revisit our goals, recommit to our dreams, and even start something brand new.

This is the season to put our heads down, not in defeat, but in focus. To use the longer nights for reflection, the quieter moments for planning, and the crisp energy of fall as fuel to execute.

🍁 We don’t have to wait until January.

🍁 We don’t need a new calendar to begin again.

🍁 We can choose today to pivot, to recommit, to start.

Affirmation: I honor the season I’m in while trusting there’s still time to grow, create, and achieve. I’m right on time for my own journey.

As we head into the weekend, let’s:

🍂 Reflect on one thing we still want to make happen in 2025.

🍂 Choose one small, concrete action that brings us closer.

🍂 Celebrate the progress we’ve already made.

The October Theory reminds us: life isn’t about racing to the finish line. It’s about leaning into the season we’re in, trusting our timing, and knowing there’s still space for magic before the year ends.

Get full access to Erin Ramsey at youresuchacatch.substack.com/subscribe

Erin Ramsey

<itunes:author>Erin Ramsey</itunes:author><itunes:explicit>No</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>181</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://substackcdn.com/feed/podcast/4193523/post/175210958/547a8a8b025cdff64d35823965bf04d1.jpg"/>

Calm is a Superpower

We live in a world that glorifies hustle, urgency, and go-go-go. But here’s the truth: a regulated nervous system is the foundation of peace, clarity, and strength.

When our nervous system is calm, we make better decisions. We sleep more deeply. We connect more authentically. We create space for healing, joy, and possibility.

But when stress runs the show, it pulls us into survival mode, where everything feels like an emergency and we’re too depleted to notice the magic right in front of us.

The good news?

We can practice calming our nervous system daily. Simple, accessible practices add up:

✨ Take three deep belly breaths.

✨ Step outside and put your bare feet on the earth.

✨ Listen to a song that soothes you.

✨ Place a hand on your heart and say, “I am safe in this moment.”

Affirmation: I create calm within. My nervous system is steady, my mind is clear, and my spirit is at ease.

This week, let’s commit to one daily act of calm. One moment of pause. One nervous-system reset. Because peace isn’t something we find outside of us, it’s something we nurture within.

Get full access to Erin Ramsey at youresuchacatch.substack.com/subscribe

Erin Ramsey

<itunes:author>Erin Ramsey</itunes:author><itunes:explicit>No</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>158</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://substackcdn.com/feed/podcast/4193523/post/171903056/f360bab0dd153a6b92380f4c68a10fff.jpg"/>

The Universe is Speaking: Are We Noticing the Signs?

Have you ever looked at the clock right as it turned to 11:11 or noticed 222 on a license plate? Maybe a butterfly landed beside you moments after thinking about someone you love.

These moments aren't coincidences—they're synchronicities.

And angel numbers? They're like spiritual post-its from the universe, gently guiding us, affirming our direction, or letting us know we're being supported.

Here's what some common angel numbers represent:

🔢 111 – New beginnings, alignment, manifestation

🔢 222 – Balance, trust, you're exactly where you need to be

🔢 333 – Divine support, mind-body-soul alignment

🔢 444 – Protection, your angels are near

🔢 555 – Change is coming—stay open

🔢 777 – Spiritual awakening, miracles unfolding

🔢 888 – Abundance, karmic alignment

🔢 999 – Completion, releasing what no longer serves

🔢 11:11 – A portal moment: set an intention, you're aligned with your higher purpose

But more than what they mean, what matters is how they make us feel.

They're little nudges from the universe, winks from our angels, reminders from a loved one that they're still with us.

Affirmation: I am divinely guided. But unprocessed emotions, lingering resentment, bottled-up anger, guilt, and constant pressure don't just live in our minds. They live in our bodies, too.

When we ignore the signals: tight shoulders, headaches, fatigue, flare-ups, anxiety—we invite dis-ease. And when dis-ease is left unattended, it has a way of manifesting into something more. Our bodies are always talking to us. They want to feel safe, supported, and in flow.

But if we never allow ourselves to pause, to cry, to rest, to feel, we trade temporary productivity for long-term well-being.

So this is our permission slip to:

🪷 Honor our emotions.

🪷 Listen to our body's whispers before they become cries for help.

🪷 Treat our human shell like the sacred home it is.

Affirmation: I listen to the wisdom of my body. But if we're being honest, it's complicated. With so much happening in the world, it's easy to feel disillusioned. To lose trust in our systems. To question our leaders. To wonder where humanity is headed.

And yet...

There are still people showing up with love. Still, acts of courage, kindness, and connection remind us that we are not powerless. Change is possible. And hope is still alive.

So what if this year, Independence Day became more than fireworks and hot dogs?

What if it became a personal invitation to reclaim our own sense of freedom? The freedom to think critically and compassionately. The freedom to live with integrity. The freedom to believe in good even when it feels hard. The freedom to be a light in dark places.

Affirmation: Even in uncertain times, I choose hope. I use my voice, my values, and my actions to create positive change.

This long weekend, let's celebrate in a new way:

🎆 Look for the helpers, the healers, the humans doing good, and thank them.

🎇 Take one small action that reflects the kind of world we want to live in.

🎆 Remember: freedom isn't just a right. It's a responsibility and a practice.

We don't have to change the world alone. But when we choose hope? We inspire others to do the same. And that ripple effect? That's how we reclaim belief in something better, together.

Get full access to Erin Ramsey at youresuchacatch.substack.com/subscribe

Erin Ramsey

<itunes:author>Erin Ramsey</itunes:author><itunes:explicit>No</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>189</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://substackcdn.com/feed/podcast/4193523/post/167442463/cc3660e9159536b0f8aa935c8727302f.jpg"/>

Don't Wait for the Wake-Up Call

Sometimes, we wait until the ground shakes to start building a new foundation. It comes from movement, from trying, from showing up even when our voice shakes and our palms sweat.

We all know that feeling—the one right before we're about to do something that stretches us. For some, it might be setting a boundary or signing up for something that excites and terrifies us at the same time.

That flutter? It's not fear. It's the feeling of being alive.

Sometimes, we wait for things to feel easier before we try. But what if trying is what makes it easier? We don't have to feel ready. We don't need the perfect plan. All we need is to be willing to take one small step.

That's how confidence is built, through motion. That's how momentum is born, on the heels of discomfort. She turns 101 years old today. One hundred and one.

Bea (as many affectionately call her) is love in human form. She's lived through decades of change and challenge—raising two children, working at a bank, sewing clothes, baking treats, and crafting handmade dolls and teddy bears for her grandchildren.

She was married to my grandpa for 74 years, and when Grandpa passed, she did something remarkable: she learned how to do life again on her own, with strength and grace.

She is the epitome of resilience, kindness, and unwavering love, with just the right amount of sass. And yes, while she uses Instagram and Facebook (iconic, I know), she doesn't have Substack. But just as I want this message to reach her, I know she'd want it to reach you, too: Every single day is a gift. How we show up matters. It’s never too late to keep blooming.

So, Grandma Bea, this one's for you. It has a name: the knowing/doing gap.

And because we're human, we've all lived in it. Maybe we're living in it now. But here's the truth: closing the gap isn't about making massive changes overnight or guilting yourself into action. It starts with awareness—followed by small, intentional choices.

For example:

🧘🏻‍♂️ 5 minutes of movement

🚰 A glass of water before our next coffee

⏲️ A 10-minute timer to take just the first step on something we’ve been putting off

❤️‍🩹 Swapping self-judgment for self-curiosity

🫶🏼 Asking: What's one kind thing I can do for myself right now?

When we start where we are, with what we have, and choose a slight shift, we build momentum. She had family in town and stocked her kitchen with all kinds of food she wouldn't normally buy. But then—she did.

She spotted a man on the side of the road and felt a pull. She turned on her hazards, got out of her car, placed the food on a nearby bench, pointed toward it, and told him, "This is for you!" Then, she safely returned to her car.

As she drove off, she looked in her rearview mirror and saw the man place one hand over his heart, look to the sky, and mouth the words: "Thank you." Tears begin to well up in her eyes. She knew, at that moment, that the gift had landed exactly where it was meant to.

Affirmation: Through kindness, I contribute to the world. He's 50.

This milestone isn't just about academics—it's a testament to what becomes possible when we challenge the stories we've been told (or believed) about ourselves.

Without sharing too many personal details, I'd like to provide some context about why this moment is so powerful. Due to this man's home life and circumstances outside his control, during childhood, he didn't graduate from high school. Later in life, he went back to earn his GED. And then, most recently, he decided to keep going.

This weekend, he's walking the stage as a college graduate.

I know this man pretty well. And for a long time, whenever we talked about education, he'd share a laundry list of why it couldn't be done. But that all shifted the day he chose to believe it could!

Let that be your reminder:

🎓 You're never too old.

🎓 You haven't missed your chance.

🎓 You get to change your mind and start again—at any age.

It's not about how fast you get there. It's about having the courage to begin.

Affirmation: I believe in my ability to grow, evolve, and achieve my goals, at any age and on my own timeline.

Moving forward, let’s:

🎓 Challenge the belief that it's too late.

🎓 Celebrate every step forward—no matter how long it takes.

🎓 Revisit the dreams we've shelved, and consider picking one back up.

Our timeline doesn't have to match anyone else's. We're not behind—we're becoming. And that alone is something worth celebrating.

To this Alliance Member: I want to personally congratulate you. I'm so proud—not just because you did the work and earned the degree, but because you rewrote your story. You changed the narrative. And most importantly, you chose to believe in yourself. Watching you build that belief—and deepen your relationship with the reflection you see in the mirror—has been powerful beyond words. With that kind of belief, anything is possible. Thank you for showing me what's possible.

Get full access to Erin Ramsey at youresuchacatch.substack.com/subscribe

Erin Ramsey

<itunes:author>Erin Ramsey</itunes:author><itunes:explicit>No</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>226</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://substackcdn.com/feed/podcast/4193523/post/164809195/f4b45c12ec92150467790b97c6319af7.jpg"/>

In Honor & Remembrance

Today we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. You're not lazy. And you're not beyond help. You're simply out of alignment, and it makes sense. Life can be a lot sometimes. And you don't have to stay here. You can shift. Slowly. Gently. I silenced my work phone, turned on my out-of-office, and allowed myself to be fully present—with friends, with family, with nature. I laughed. I rested. I had fun. I wasn't checking my inbox. I wasn't thinking about sales numbers. I just…let go.

And that's when it happened.

I got a text from my friend and co-worker (on my personal phone) that he had good news to share. I had a choice—to respond or wait until I was back in the office. My gut told me to engage.

A deal we'd been counting on had closed—a big one. I FaceTimed him, tears in my eyes. A commission I wasn't expecting had suddenly appeared, and it came through not when I was pushing, but when I had fully released the outcome.

The tears weren't about the money.

They were about the team.

The effort.

The heart.

The tenacity.

The collective win.

And for me, for honoring my need for rest, setting boundaries, and keeping them.

It reminded me of something important: Sometimes, when we stop trying to force it, what's meant for us flows in with ease.

Affirmation: I trust in divine timing. It's powerful. And it spoke to me, so maybe it will speak to you.

Because honestly? It's easy to forget. With work deadlines, family dynamics, personal goals, side hustles, and unpredictable sleep…we can get swept up in everything we're trying to do, and lose sight of why we're doing it.

But this weekend, I experienced my own, I almost forgot this is the whole point moment.

I took Murphy to a dog beach for the first time. He ran free, tail wagging, ears flopping, fully alive in the moment, weaving through people and kids, chasing after new friends. I paused, feet in the ocean, sun on my skin, smiling, heart full, overwhelmed by how happy he was and how that moment reminded me of what truly matters.

I almost forgot…this is the whole point. Our why is that inner compass guiding us toward the life we truly want. But here's the good news: it's always available to us, and when we reconnect with it, we realign with clarity, purpose, and peace.

I recently felt called to do an exercise I'd like to share with you. I’m not sure where the idea came from; my inner guidance simply said, “Do this.” So I did.

I drew a circle and wrote my name inside it. Within that circle, I included everything that reflects my why: my values, dreams, goals, and deepest desires. Then, I listed a few opportunities I’m currently considering and placed them in proximity to the circle, based on how aligned (or misaligned) they felt.

I asked myself: Does this move me closer to the life I want, or am I stretching beyond my truth to chase something that isn’t mine?

Sometimes, we reach for things because we think we should…even if they pull us further from our truth.

This simple visual helped me get honest with myself and might help you, too. Try it with decisions you're sitting with right now. Let your why be your filter.

Affirmation: I return to my why. I make aligned decisions that support the life I truly desire.

This week, let’s:

🧭 Pause before saying yes to anything that doesn't feel true.

🧭 Revisit what we're working toward and why it matters.

🧭 Trust that alignment > urgency, always.

You don't have to stretch yourself thin to chase what's already meant for you. Your why will always lead you home.

Get full access to Erin Ramsey at youresuchacatch.substack.com/subscribe

Erin Ramsey

<itunes:author>Erin Ramsey</itunes:author><itunes:explicit>No</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>204</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://substackcdn.com/feed/podcast/4193523/post/162894455/a3785ad4f7a28713578d841402220d33.jpg"/>

You're Not Alone.

We took a little poll the other day. We have each other to lean on.

This moment is not our forever.

Our stories are still unfolding, and the hard chapters are not the end.

Even if today feels messy, raw, or like you're barely holding on, know there is still a light ahead, even if it feels far away right now.

You've survived 100% of your hardest days.

You've woken up and shown up again.

You're doing better than you think.

Affirmation: Even when I am hurting, I am healing. Even when I am surviving, I am growing. I believe in my ability to rise.

I invite you to breathe into this truth:

You are worthy of hope even during adverse times.

You are worthy of rest even in the chaos.

You are worthy of joy even while things feel uncertain.

You're not alone. And your light? It's still shining even when you can't see it yet. I'm so glad you're here.

If this doesn't feel like your present moment, that's okay. 📌 Bookmark it for a time when you might need a little encouragement or think about someone close to you who might need to hear this today. Forward it with a reminder that they're not alone.

Get full access to Erin Ramsey at youresuchacatch.substack.com/subscribe

Erin Ramsey

<itunes:author>Erin Ramsey</itunes:author><itunes:explicit>No</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>236</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://substackcdn.com/feed/podcast/4193523/post/162691334/fb487b1c891a5adf7df53e52c4b39ca8.jpg"/>

New Moon, New Intentions

Last night marked a new moon. A quiet, powerful moment when the sky is dark, the energy is still, and possibility fills the air.

In astrology (and in energy work), the new moon symbolizes new beginnings. It's the starting point of a new lunar cycle—a time to set intentions, plant seeds, and focus on what we want to grow.

It's like nature's built-in reset button, reminding us that we don't have to wait for a new year, a new month, or the "perfect time" to begin.

We sometimes fall into the habit of thinking January 1st is our only fresh start, but the truth is, a new beginning is available to us anytime we decide to claim it.

The year may be flying by, but there's still so much room for growth, goals, dreams, and desires. There's time to pivot, time for a fresh start, and time to make magic.

Affirmation: I release what no longer serves me and open myself to new beginnings.

In energy work, the new moon’s influence is strongest during a three-day window: the day before, the day of, and the day after. This makes it a powerful time for intention-setting and clearing space for new beginnings.

So, let's take a moment to reflect and journal using the following prompts:

🌑 What am I ready to let go of?

🌑 What am I excited to call in?

🌑 What would it feel like to believe that a fresh start can happen right now?

The new moon reminds us it's not about perfect timing. It's about powerful intention.

We're right on time. Everything we desire is still possible—and it starts with what we choose to believe and focus on today.

Get full access to Erin Ramsey at youresuchacatch.substack.com/subscribe

Erin Ramsey

<itunes:author>Erin Ramsey</itunes:author><itunes:explicit>No</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>199</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://substackcdn.com/feed/podcast/4193523/post/162298504/a08642cd15ae298250c1d03cc8e676c9.jpg"/>

You don't have to rush life, your goals, or the in-between.

When you were younger, did you hurry your childhood, dreaming of being a grownup? Or maybe life circumstances forced you to grow up too fast. Either way, it's easy to fall into the pattern of always chasing the next thing.

But here's your gentle reminder: you don't have to rush your growth.

Life isn't a race. You're not behind. There's no deadline for becoming.

There's more than enough time, more than enough space, and more than enough good available to you, exactly when it's meant to arrive.

We live in a world that celebrates hustle. But sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is pause. Breathe. Reflect. Let your soul catch up with your goals.

Affirmation: I give myself permission to rest, reflect, and evolve at my own pace.

So let's release the pressure to always be doing. Let's honor the parts of ourselves that are still shifting, healing, and figuring things out. That counts as progress, too.

You don't have to force your way forward. There's magic in the present moment.

Nourish yourself. Trust that unfolding is becoming. You're doing beautifully. The choice is ours.

Sometimes, we fall into the habit of waiting for Friday, for vacation, for things to settle down before we let ourselves enjoy life. But joy isn’t just a weekend reward. It’s a mindset. A moment. A decision to make space for what lights you up now.

So whether it’s blasting your favorite song, walking in the sunshine, or dancing in your kitchen while dinner’s on the stove—let yourself live today. Make memories on a Monday. You don’t have to wait to feel good.

Affirmation: I create space for joy, even on the busiest days. Life doesn’t wait for the weekend.

Let’s find a reason to smile today. Keep Shining.

Let's go into this weekend with some truth: You weren't born to shrink, play small, or dull your shine to make others more comfortable.

Too often, we hold back, softening our words, toning down our joy, second-guessing our power. Maybe it's because we were taught to be "humble." Maybe it's because someone once told us we were "too much." Maybe we learned to take up less space because we didn't want to be judged, misunderstood, or rejected.

But here's the truth: You are allowed to shine.✨

Not just allowed—meant to.

Your light isn't "too much." It's necessary.

Affirmation: I no longer shrink to fit. I am allowed to take up space and shine.

As we head into a weekend that for many symbolizes renewal and rebirth, let this be your reminder: You don't have to be anyone but yourself. And the version of you that's bold, radiant, and fully expressed? That version is ready to rise.

Shine bright. The world needs your light.

Get full access to Erin Ramsey at youresuchacatch.substack.com/subscribe

Erin Ramsey

<itunes:author>Erin Ramsey</itunes:author><itunes:explicit>No</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>133</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://substackcdn.com/feed/podcast/4193523/post/161585399/a710720b5bda5188b431f2139dc53027.jpg"/>

Your Younger Self Would Be So Proud

Today, let's take a moment to pause and reflect. We're not going to dwell on our past but rather honor our journey.

The younger version of you, the one who was trying to figure it all out, would be so proud of how far you've come. You've grown. You've healed. You've survived heartbreak, setbacks, quiet battles, and loud awakenings. And yet you've picked yourself up repeatedly, even when it might have felt impossible.

And sure, we're still learning, but we've already become someone our younger selves would look up to.

So today, let's spend some time reflecting and giving love to every version of us—the one who doubted, the one who dreamed, the one who kept showing up, even when no one else was watching. Let's honor ourselves by knowing that all these versions of self have led us to who we are today.

Affirmation: I am proud of who I am and who I'm becoming. Every version of me has led me here.

Take a second and close your eyes. Picture your younger self smiling back at you—grateful, relieved, proud. You've come so far, and the journey—it's still unfolding.

Get full access to Erin Ramsey at youresuchacatch.substack.com/subscribe

Erin Ramsey

<itunes:author>Erin Ramsey</itunes:author><itunes:explicit>No</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>156</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://substackcdn.com/feed/podcast/4193523/post/161311775/e327ecef631ea36cf38fb62b2d05560f.jpg"/>
