What comes out of marriage? How do children relate to marriage? Why is this so controversial? The Prayer book teaches us what we should believe about marriage and children. It helps us to understand what the Bible teaches us about the reality and nature of holy matrimony. When we simply look at the service of Holy Matrimony and the Thanksgiving for the birth or adoption of a child, we discover that the Prayer Book reveals to us what marriage should look like and how we can become what God desires us to be in our married lives.

This is a public episode. Baptism and Confirmation are two services that complement one another in our life as Christians. They remind us of the need for the Spirit to be active in our lives and for him to come to us. In baptism the Spirit comes with the water through the putting of God's name upon the baptized and in confirmation, the Spirit comes through the laying on of hands from the bishop with prayers for the filling of the Holy Spirit. These practices continue to undergird and strengthen the faith of believers and enable us to walk more fully with Jesus throughout our days.#baptism #confirmation #theology #anglicantheology

This is a public episode.
