This podcast isn’t about fixing yourself, regulating every emotion, or endlessly working on the character.

It’s about discovering what remains beneath the roles we play.

Through personal stories, deep questions, and conversations that connect psychology, consciousness, and everyday life, Anastasia explores how identity shapes our experience of reality.

From heartbreak and financial setbacks to reinvention and personal power, these conversations ask a simple but radical question:

What changes when we stop trying to control the story and begin recognising the awareness behind it?

This is not philosophy for the sake of philosophy.

It’s about living intentionally, understanding our place in the larger intelligence of life, and learning how to move through the world with clarity — even when things hurt.

New episodes weekly. Just clarity.

For thinkers, seekers, and high-achievers who are ready to stop fixing themselves and start seeing clearly.

It has always been a faithful reflection of what you are identified with.

This episode is not about manifestation as a technique. It is about the law underneath manifestation: the mirror. Anastasia shares the survival identity she inherited from her father's losses, how it ran underneath two successful careers, a major financial collapse, and two years of debt — and why every technique she tried couldn't reach it.

Because you cannot rearrange the mirror. You can only change what is standing in front of it.

And the moment the identity changes — the reflection has no choice but to follow.

Episode Description — Extended (show notes)

We are in Act II of Season 2: Recognising. If the first act was about remembering who you actually are — not broken, not a body to regulate, not a mind to discipline into wellness — then this act asks what follows from that. If you are Source, then what is the life around you?

The answer Anastasia explores in this episode: a mirror. A precise, faithful, non-judgmental reflection of the identity currently running — not the chosen thoughts, not the affirmations, but the deep, prior, automatic sense of self operating underneath everything else.

Drawing on her own financial collapse beginning in 2022 — the lost contracts, the CMO role that ended alongside a significant relationship, the investment made from survival mode that she could not afford to lose, the two years of quietly calculating next week's food — Anastasia traces exactly what the mirror was reflecting. Not chaos. Not bad luck. The survival identity her body had been holding since childhood: the girl who watched her father lose everything and decided, in the wordless way that children decide things, that safety is never guaranteed.

No technique reached that. Because the techniques were being run from inside the same identity. The system was working correctly — it was just working on the wrong level.

What actually shifted, when it finally did: not a better framework. The seeing. The moment the character was witnessed rather than fused with. The gap between awareness and the story it had been inhabiting.

This episode explores what that means practically, philosophically, and personally — and what it suggests about the life you are living right now.

Coaching Call Booking: https://tidycal.com/anastasiagold/identity-transformation-session

Get full access to Anastasia Unfiltered at anastasiagold.substack.com/subscribe

Anastasia || Unfiltered

<itunes:author>Anastasia || Unfiltered</itunes:author><itunes:explicit>Yes</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>1205</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://substackcdn.com/feed/podcast/4031910/post/200599152/09c5731b3714ec9e396039cc7c4716fc.jpg"/><itunes:season>2</itunes:season><itunes:episode>4</itunes:episode><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType>

S2. #3 You've Been Looking for God in the Wrong Place

You Are God in a Temporary Material Body

Anastasia Unfiltered: The First Day | Season 2, Episode 3

In the most direct episode of Season 2, Anastasia makes a statement she's been circling for years: you are not a person trying to become spiritual. Episode 2 takes that recognition into the body — the place most of us experience brokenness most acutely.

Most transformation frameworks treat the body's responses as evidence of damage: regulate them, process them, discharge them back to baseline. Anastasia challenges that premise from the ground up. The body is the material instrument of Source. Its sensations are not malfunction. They are communication.

But this episode holds a crucial nuance: the signal is worth hearing, and the signal is not a sentence. Drawing on Alexander DeWayne's framing of thoughts, emotions, and circumstances as a temporary system — faithful to the identity currently being embodied, not a permanent verdict on who you are — Anastasia makes the case for a different kind of listening. Not management. Not blind compliance. But the recognition that what the body is reporting is the weather of an identity. Change the ground, and the weather changes.

The personal story at the heart of this episode traces what the body was registering throughout the years before the 2022 collapse, and how a sophisticated inner life turned every accurate signal into evidence that she needed to do more work on herself — rather than hearing what was actually being said. ACIM Lessons 135 and 136 provide the structural frame: the defense as the attack, sickness as the cost of not hearing the truth.

In this episode:

· How both approaches — management and blind compliance — miss what the body's signals actually are

· Thoughts, emotions, circumstances: temporary signals of current identity, not permanent sentences

· The ACIM thread: Lessons 135 and 136 as a map of what the defense costs

· Why there is no technique — and what that absence is saying

References:

Alexander DeWayne (Conscious Game) · A Course in Miracles (Lessons 135, 136) · Rupert Spira · 1 Corinthians 3:16

Reflection question:

What would change if you treated every physical sensation as intelligent information rather than a problem to solve?

Declaration:

My body is not working against me. Anastasia argues that this premise is not just unhelpful. It actively reinforces the very sense of lack that drives people into the work in the first place.

This episode introduces Season 2’s central recognition: you are not a human becoming. You are Source — pure consciousness — in a temporary body, having a human experience. The character strives. Source simply is. When you work on yourself from the ground of wholeness rather than the conviction of brokenness, the nature of effort changes entirely.

Anastasia draws on her 2022 collapse — the loss of her CMO role, relationship, close friendships, and financial stability — and is honest about the period that followed: using manifestation and law of assumption frameworks not as genuine recognition but as a more sophisticated form of control. The real shift came not from more work, but from running out of road and discovering something underneath the collapse that had not collapsed.

In this episode:

· What the self-improvement premise is actually saying — and why it confirms the wound it claims to heal

· The distinction between Source and character — and why only one of them experiences lack

· Growth from wholeness versus growth from lack: what changes, and why it matters

· The question: how much of your work has been expression — and how much has been penance?

References:

Rupert Spira · A Course in Miracles · Neville Goddard · Rose Lawrence (The Rosey Life)

Reflection question:

Where in your life are you still trying to fix something that was never broken?

Declaration:

I am not a work in progress. I am Source, moving through experience.

Work with Anastasia:

CALENDAR LINK HERE

Episode #1 is called Remembering You Are the Source. It is not a continuation of Season 1. It is what Season 1 was always pointing toward.

Season 1 asked: who are you beyond the character? Season 2 begins from the answer. You are Source — pure awareness, pure consciousness — in a temporary body. The character is what you are doing. It is not what you are.

Episode 1 dismantles the foundational premise of almost every transformation system ever built: that you are broken and the work is to fix yourself. Anastasia makes the argument not as spiritual theory but from her own lived experience — including a period after her 2022 collapse where she used sophisticated spiritual frameworks as a more refined version of the same avoidance. The shift that changed everything was not more effort. It was recognition.

This episode is for the woman who has done the work. Who has the language, the frameworks, the self-awareness. And who is ready to hear that the premise she has been working from — the one that says ‘not yet, not enough, keep going’ — was never true.

Drawing on Rupert Spira’s teaching on awareness as ground rather than feature, A Course in Miracles on the seeking that prevents the finding, and Neville Goddard on consciousness as the only reality, Anastasia builds the case for a different orientation entirely: growth from wholeness, effort as expression rather than penance, and the recognition that you are already the thing you have been reaching for.

Season 2 runs twelve episodes across three acts — Remembering, Recognising, Receiving. Episode 1 is the foundation. If this lands, everything else will follow.

Get full access to Anastasia Unfiltered at anastasiagold.substack.com/subscribe

Anastasia || Unfiltered

<itunes:author>Anastasia || Unfiltered</itunes:author><itunes:explicit>Yes</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>1237</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://substackcdn.com/feed/podcast/4031910/post/197662143/74fa3b5a2bc94824d0f633b36fe88f59.jpg"/><itunes:season>2</itunes:season><itunes:episode>1</itunes:episode>

# 13 || Every Day Is the First Day

If identity is fluid — and it is — then who you are tomorrow is not determined by who you have been. It is a choice. A conscious, deliberate, daily choice. This is the Season 1 finale of Anastasia Unfiltered: The First Day. And it ends with the question this whole season has been building toward: who will you be tomorrow?

Thirteen episodes. One season completed. One question at the centre of all of it: who are you, really?

Not who were you. Not who the story says you are. Not the self that was constructed by the collapse, or the conditioning, or the decade of accumulated evidence about what is possible for you.

Who are you choosing to be?

In Episode 13 — the Season 1 finale — Anastasia brings the season full circle. Why the self that shows up tomorrow doesn’t have to match the self that showed up today. That what happened, happened — and we carry it forward as fact.

But what if that's not how memory actually works?

In Episode 10 of Anastasia Unfiltered: The First Day, we go into the neuroscience of identity — specifically, why the story you're telling about your past is not the same as what actually happened, and why that distinction changes everything.

Drawing on memory reconsolidation research and neuroscientist Antonio Damasio's concept of the narrative self, this episode explores how the brain reconstructs memory every time we revisit it — meaning the past is not a fixed record. It's a living story. One we keep choosing to rehearse.

And here's what that rehearsal costs us.

Every time we replay a painful memory — the relationship that ended, the failure, the moment we were let down — the brain doesn't register it as the past. It responds as though it's happening now. Same stress activation. Same emotional charge. Same quiet confirmation: this is who I am. This is what's possible.

That's not processing. That's practicing.

This episode is for the woman who has done the work, built the life, and still feels a low-level hum of her past running in the background. The one who walks into new situations carrying old evidence. Who is unconsciously rehearsing limitations that have nothing to do with who she is right now.

We talk about:

What memory reconsolidation actually means — and why it's one of the most liberating findings in modern neuroscience

The difference between the character in the story and the observer watching it

Why effort and processing often keep us inside the loop rather than out of it

What freedom actually looks like — not the absence of a past, but a shift in where you're standing in relation to it

The practical question that interrupts the rehearsal in real time

This is not a healing episode. The relationship. The job. The money. The friends. And before all of that, a quieter loss that didn’t have a category but lived in the body anyway.

What followed wasn’t just grief. It was two years of returning to the same pattern — dressed up in different frameworks, including spiritual ones. Manifestation. The law of assumption. The 4D. All of it, if Anastasia is honest, still in service of the same old hunger: waiting to be chosen.

In this episode, she unpacks why awareness alone doesn’t break a pattern — because the pattern isn’t just behaviour. It’s identity. Drawing on Rupert Spira’s non-dual teaching and Romans 12:2, this is an episode about the gap between seeing the pattern and actually stepping out of it. And what it means to finally recognise yourself as the source, not the seeker.

References mentioned

• Rupert Spira — Being Aware of Being Aware (2017)

• Rupert Spira — The Nature of Consciousness (2017)

• Romans 12:2 (NIV)

• Psalm 46:10 (NIV)

Get full access to Anastasia Unfiltered at anastasiagold.substack.com/subscribe

Anastasia || Unfiltered

<itunes:author>Anastasia || Unfiltered</itunes:author><itunes:explicit>Yes</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>811</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://substackcdn.com/feed/podcast/4031910/post/192949467/55edd5d0086e28cf73e943d99141ceb4.jpg"/><itunes:season>1</itunes:season><itunes:episode>8</itunes:episode><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType>

#7 ||Who Am I? It’s not a glow-up. It’s not a “I’ve healed and now everything is perfect” moment.

It’s quieter than that. It’s the moment you realise… you might not actually be who you think you are.

For most of my life, I thought I was the character. The woman who gets overlooked. The one who has to prove herself.

The one who feels deeply, loves deeply… and somehow still ends up not chosen in the way she wants.

And if you’re honest, you probably have your own version of that story.

Maybe yours sounds like:

“I’m the one who always gives more.”

“I’m the one who has to work harder than everyone else.”

“I’m the one who almost gets there… but not quite.”

Different script. Same structure.

You’re not just experiencing life. You’re playing a role.

And here’s the uncomfortable part no one tells you:

You don’t just have a story. You’re identified with it.

So when something happens, you don’t just react to the situation… you react as the character.

He doesn’t text back? It’s not just silence.

It’s confirmation. “Of course. This always happens to me.”

You don’t get the client? It’s not just a missed opportunity. It’s identity reinforcement.

“I knew it. I’m not fully there yet.”

Even your “self-awareness” can be part of the character.

“I know I have abandonment wounds.”

“I know I’m working through visibility blocks.”

It sounds evolved.

But it’s still the same loop.

Just wearing a more intelligent outfit.

This is where things started to shift for me.

Not when I learned more. Not when I “healed more.”

Not when I added another tool, method, or practice. But when I asked a very simple, slightly disturbing question:

Who is aware of this?

Not in a spiritual, floaty way.

In a very real, grounded, almost annoying way.

If I can notice the thought

“If he doesn’t choose me, I’m not enough”…

Then who is noticing it? Because the thought is there.

The feeling is there. The reaction is there.

But something is also… watching it.

And once you see that, even for a second, something cracks.

Because now there are two things:

The character… and the awareness of the character.

Let me make this very practical.

Imagine you’re in a situation you know too well. You’re waiting for a message.

You check your phone. Nothing. Your body tightens a little.

Your mind starts filling in the gaps.

“He’s losing interest.”

“I said too much.”

“I shouldn’t have done that.”

That spiral?

That’s the character doing what it’s always done.

Now pause. Not to fix it. Not to calm it down. Just to notice it.

The thoughts. The sensations. The urge to check again.

All of it.

And then ask:

If I can see all of this… am I really this?

This is the part people resist.

Because if you’re not the character…

Then who are you?

And more importantly…

Who have you been defending this whole time?

Because a lot of what we call “healing” is actually just protecting the character.

Making her feel safer. More validated. More understood.

But still… the same character. Just slightly more comfortable.

And I’m not saying that work doesn’t matter. It does. But it’s incomplete if you never question the identity itself.

Here’s where it gets interesting. The moment you see the character as something observed… it loses a bit of its authority.

Not completely. It will still speak. It will still react. It will still try to pull you back in.

But now, there’s space.

And in that space…

You can choose.

You can notice the thought “I’m not chosen” …without immediately collapsing into it.

You can feel the familiar pull …without letting it define what happens next.

You can experience the emotion …without building a life around it.

That’s real power.

Not controlling your thoughts.

Not forcing positivity.

Not “fixing” yourself into a better version.

But seeing clearly enough that you’re no longer trapped inside the role.

And if I’m honest, this is where things start to feel… strange.

Because you realise how much of your life has been run by a script you didn’t consciously choose.

The relationships.

The standards.

The emotional reactions.

Even the goals.

All shaped by a character you never questioned.

So this episode isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about seeing who you’ve been playing.

And realising…

You’re not limited to that role.

The character can stay.

She probably will for a while.

But you don’t have to be her.

Not fully.

Not unconsciously.

Not anymore.

And once you really see that…

You stop asking “How do I fix myself?”

And you start asking something far more powerful:

Who am I, if I’m not this story?

That’s where everything changes.

Not loudly.

Not dramatically.

But permanently.

Get full access to Anastasia Unfiltered at <a You change it by changing position/perspective.

In this episode, I break down the difference between the character and the observer - and why that shift alone can reorganize your reality.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode

Why feeling “stuck” is actually identification

The difference between character vs observer

How overthinking reinforces identity loops

What the observer effect in quantum physics really means

A simple mental shift that changes how reality responds

The Character vs The Observer

Most people are trying to change their lives from inside the story.

The exhausted mother.

The anxious professional.

The woman expecting heartbreak.

That’s the character.

The character has:

A past

A narrative

A fear

A strategy

But the observer?

The observer is the one noticing the thoughts.

And the moment you can observe your reaction instead of being consumed by it… something loosens.

Why Overthinking Keeps You Stuck

When you overthink, you’re reinforcing the identity of “the one who must solve this.”

Effort belongs to the character.

Observation belongs to power.

The more you try to fix reality, the more you confirm it needs fixing.

But when you step back and notice:

The mental chatter

The assumption underneath it

The urgency

You interrupt the loop. That’s awareness work.

And awareness changes perception.

The Observer Effect (Without the Instagram Version)

In quantum mechanics, particles exist as probabilities until observed. Observation collapses possibility into form.

In your life, identification collapses possibility into repetition.

If you’re identified with “the anxious one,” you keep experiencing anxious outcomes.

If you shift into observer mode, the pattern loses force.

You are not your thoughts.

You are the one noticing them.

Try This Today

Next time you spiral:

Don’t stop the thought.

Don’t fight it.

Don’t fix it.

Watch it.

Like subtitles on a screen.

If you can watch it, you’re not it.
