He shares how his own past experiences inspire him to support people on their healing journeys.</p><p>A snippet from the episode, where Josh asks Joshua if he has discovered his purpose:</p><p>I think that purpose is ever evolving in every season. </p><p>I think that If I looked exactly where I am now, if I didn't go through anything that I went through, there's no way I would be here. </p><p>I always say, I think that's why I believe I am a <strong>good therapist</strong> is because I've actually had to <strong>heal so much of my trauma.</strong> </p><p>And so as a result of being able to sit there and say—I know what it's like to have depression, I know what it's like to go through a suicide attempt, I know so many of these things—I also know <strong>what it took to heal.</strong></p><p>I also know what it took to navigate. And I would say that those things have allowed me to be a better therapist. </p><p>And so I would say <strong>my purpose as of now is to help people heal</strong> and live a whole fulfilling life.
