Sucharit sent a follow-up email the next morning:

Heinrich Habig has just been released from prison.

Is this a sign?

I replied:

That was heartachingly beautiful and convicting, Sucharit. Thank you for courageously standing up for truth, freedom, and humanity.

May Heinrich’s release from prison be swiftly followed by your own liberation from the Kafkaesque limbo you, CJ Hopkins, and other targets of the German injustice system have been suspended in for years.

Sucharit later told me:

It was an enormous effort, supported by a team of amazing friends - all amateurs united in our common cause: the return to humanity.

Dr. Heinrich Habig is one of the courageous physicians of integrity who chose to honor the Hippocratic Oath, Nuremberg Code, and Geneva Conventions rather than democidal authoritarian edicts, issuing fake COVID vaccination papers for patients eschewing the experimental injection.

For standing up to tyranny and saving lives, Heinrich was rewarded with a prison sentence in 2023.

On May 13, 2026, this grave injustice was halted, and Heinrich was freed from prison. The following day, he received the Aachener Auszeichnung für Menschlichkeit (Aachen Award for Humaneness). Heinrich delivered a humbling speech to the brave supporters who have stood by him throughout his tribulations and are now celebrating this triumphant victory for moral courage.

Dr. Habig is being honored as a representative of all physicians who, during the COVID-19 pandemic, demonstrated the courage and true humanity to protect their patients from the consequences of the COVID-19 measures and to uphold the Nuremberg Code. They continue to face persecution, criminalization, and imprisonment.

Tragically, not all of these physicians survived this endless persecution by prosecution—Dr. Jackie Stone having taken her own life on October 3, 2024, after nearly four years of suffering at the hands of the Zimbabwe Thought Police.

Sucharit understands the pain of political persecution all too acutely, having been targeted by Germany’s weaponized justice system himself.

Just as CJ Hopkins was found Not Guilty of thoughtcrimes at his 2024 trial only to have it appealed by the Berlin prosecutor and his acquittal overturned, so was Sucharit’s Not Guilty verdict appealed by his prosecutor two days after his exoneration.

Sucharit and CJ remain stuck in legal limbo for the crimes of fearlessly speaking truth and resisting medical fascism in New Normal Germany.

I am publishing Sucharit’s speech on May 23, the three-year anniversary of the trial during which he was found Not Guilty.

As I wrote Sucharit upon learning the news of Habig’s release:

A Call to Humanity

Friends, Brothers, and Sisters,

Beings on earth were created to be free. Mankind only has means to deprive others of their freedom. Fellow humans can be imprisoned in the name of justice. But justice becomes injustice if the innocent are captured.

I call on you to open your eyes, your ears, and your minds to the reality that surrounds us today. Innocent, upright citizens—physicians who sought to protect fellow beings from suffering, who resisted all evil forces and stood up to defend the Nuremberg code, have been prosecuted, have been deprived of their existence and of their freedom.

Dr. Heinrich Habig, most beloved practitioner who spent forty years caring for his patients, has today been granted a leave from prison to personally receive the Accolade for Humanity from his friends.

Join me now to honor this great man.

Dear Colleague Habig—my best, dear Heinrich!

As I write these lines, my tears are flowing. I weep with sorrow for the country that has inflicted such immeasurable suffering on you and so many innocent people. I weep over the inhuman acts that take us back ninety years to the darkest hours of German history. I weep with shame for the shameless criminals who are wreaking havoc in this country.

Dear Heinrich, no eulogy could adequately convey the significance of your work as a physician and a human being. Instead, I want to announce news that will carve your achievements in stone. Along with comfort and optimism, the rays of happiness will shine upon you once more.

For let everyone know—everyone in this country, everyone in the entire world: There are documents that will testify before the judgment seat of God:

The COVID-19 pandemic was conceived and invented years before 2020. The sequence of events and measures were all planned. The climax was the approval of the gene-based vaccines and their administration to the global population.

The BioNTech vaccine paved the way. It was praised as an effective and safe savior in the apocalyptic crisis. However, the vaccine was never tested for efficacy. That was not even possible, since BioNTech never had the virus in its possession. The evidence of efficacy presented to regulatory authorities was fabricated and a lie. The fact that the vaccine actually provides no protection whatsoever has also recently been officially admitted.

The US Emergency Use Authorization permits the use of untested substances and procedures. Conditional approval in Europe is widely presented as the counterpart to this, but that is not formally correct. Here, the administration of highly toxic substances to healthy people is never permitted—not even in an emergency.

The vaccination was praised to the heavens as effective and safe! Was there any data to support this claim? The RKI protocol dated April 27, 2020, states: Several vaccines tested under accelerated procedures will be coming. Relevant data, that is, data on efficacy and safety, will only be collected post-marketing.

Good heavens, that means nothing other than that we humans will serve as test subjects for the substances purchased with our money. Who doesn’t remember Bill Gates’s historic appearance when he announced in the presence of the nation’s “Mutti”: “We will protect 7 billion global citizens with the vaccination!” From what? From a specter of their own making! But if not to protect us, then for what else? The simple answer: For money, endless amounts of money, which is taken from us and flows into the pockets of the master planners and their minions.

But now the hour of turnaround has come. Know this: mRNA vaccines must be packaged so that they can be sent on a journey through our bodies to our cells. The packaging contains artificial, manmade substances whose use on healthy people was strictly prohibited before 2020.

And now hold on tight: Two years ago, it was discovered that these substances possess a deadly feature. The same feature that causes blood poisoning from bacteria. What happens then? An activation of the immune system resembling fireworks! An explosion of inflammatory centers wherever the billions of particles end up. And they end up everywhere because there are no barriers for them—the blood-brain barrier and the placental barrier do not exist for them. So billions of inflammatory centers—brain inflammation, heart inflammation, liver, lungs, kidneys—damage, damage everywhere. Irreparable in the heart and brain. And this happens even before the actual vaccine enters the cells and causes its own harmful effect there.

Ladies and gentlemen, this discovery should have led to the immediate ban of these so-called vaccines. Tolerating blood poisoning from a vaccination? What would that be?

What was that? What is it still today?

A CAPITAL CRIME, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! A CAPITAL CRIME!

Furthermore, you should know this: In mid-2020, BioNTech submitted a clean genetic engineering process for the production of the vaccine to the authorities. This process was reviewed and approved. When the order for billions of vaccine doses came in from von der Leyen, the process was modified. The approved process was, in fact, cost-intensive and loss-making. In plain English, products other than those contractually agreed upon were delivered.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is fraud. This is not just about billions—that is, large-scale fraud—it was and is about human lives! Now listen carefully: In a secretly modified process, genetically modified bacterial chromosomes—so-called plasmids—were and are being used. Incidentally, these do not come from BioNTech at all but from Pfizer. Their use, however, created an insurmountable problem for BioNTech, namely that it was and is technically impossible to completely remove the bacterial chromosomes from the vaccine. As a result, over the past three years, remnants of these chromosomes have been found without exception in various laboratories and in various vaccine batches.

And know this, scientific evidence has been provided in recent months for the following findings: The bacterial chromosome remnants can be incorporated into human chromosomes and cause cancer.

The vaccination throws a wrench into the entire genomic machinery and creates disharmony in cellular function.

The injected foreign gene remains in the body for a long time—days, weeks, months, years.

The vaccination triggers self-attacks and self-destruction in all organs.

The vaccine passes through the placenta to the child in the womb.

HUMANKIND, RISE UP!

The administration of these murderous substances was and is the greatest organized crime against humanity. All who knowingly participated are violators of the Nuremberg Code and capital criminals.

When people rise up, stand in protective defense of the victims, and are put on trial for it, it is pure dystopia. My foreign friends compare this to the Hitler years, when anyone who wanted to help Jews risked their own life. The rest of the world looks on with revulsion at the justice system here and views figures like the judges who threw Heinrich Habig and Bianca Witzschel in jail because they sought to uphold the Nuremberg Code with the deepest contempt.

DEAR HEINRICH, this video will go around the world. Now, beams of energy, power, and love will flow back to you. From everywhere.

Last but not least, I present hope: mRNA Vaccinations—The Greatest Organized Crime Against Humanity. The title was chosen with care. The book examines the vaccination crime and presents evidence of the crimes. Evidence that will withstand any legal scrutiny. The English version, by the way, will soon be making its way out into the world and is eagerly awaited by dedicated individuals and legal professionals. I will read the closing words from the book:

The book Corona False Alarm by Sucharit Bhakdi and Karina Reis was published in English in October 2020. The book was the first to warn of the dangers of the new COVID vaccination and was taken off the market in November 2020 because it allegedly endangered the national security of the US. Apparently, the vaccination campaign was controlled and monitored by the US Department of Defense.

We now know that today’s Goliath has three heads and is waging the attack on humanity on three levels: material, digital, and medical. Due to their efficiency and versatility, modRNS vaccinations are the most important weapon in the military-medical arsenal. Is there any escape? Humankind must find its way back to humanity and achieve three goals:

The public must be awakened so that in the future such crimes against humanity will no longer have a chance.

The victims of the vaccination disaster should fight for their right to compensation by proving to those involved in the pharmaceutical industry, the relevant authorities, and doctors that they have forfeited the immunity granted to them under emergency regulations through deliberate negligence, willful misconduct, or breach of supervisory duty. The victims also include all those who were persecuted for adhering to medical ethics. It is the duty of us all to rehabilitate them and make amends for the damage caused.

This compendium points the way to the third goal: the reunification of society. Those who unwittingly participated in the injustice can still mend their ways and declare that they were unaware of the background and the monstrous scale of the crime. Let us return together to the Basic Law and unite with one another in love and friendship!

A final word to doctors: Stop vaccinating!

This will immediately put a stop to the crime. For without this weapon, Goliath cannot achieve his goal.

Today—Friday the 13th, appropriately—I am releasing one of the alternative versions the brilliantly versatile Tonika produced. She describes it as a “retro-futurist duotone.” I felt it had a 2001 vibe, so she indulged my request to create title credits in that style. I shared a HAL 9000 screensaver Michael had installed, provided some reference material, did some detective work to identity the font, and created a mockup, writing her:

For the 2001 version, I was envisioning something like this—a solid background color with the text flickering in like it does where this video is queued up (starts on the teal screen):

I eyedropped these colors from your video but was also going for something slightly muted to echo the 2001 palette.

Tonika soared to the challenge with her characteristic exuberant creativity. Like the Blade Runner version, this video is scored with the instrumental version of “Quite Hinky,” one of several hundred collaborative pieces between Michael and our dear friend Greg, who wrote and performed the vocals on the original track.

Whenever I publish dystopian content, some people express concerns about depicting a dark vision of the future instead of a hopeful one.

As an Apocaloptimist, I understand their perspective, but I think they are missing the power of dystopian stories to “unmask totalitarianism and awaken the sleeping before tyranny triumphs,” the mission I articulated when I launched my Substack nearly five years ago.

Most people are too preoccupied with their daily lives, exhausted, uncurious, and oblivious to project their imagination into the future and recognize the ultimate destination of the present trajectory.

Dystopian art helps us visualize that potential future—and activates us to stop it.

As I wrote in the four-year anniversary post for my dystopian fairy tale:

When we are fed a cookie-cutter happy ending to a serious threat, our brains interpret this fictional scenario as a satisfying resolution to the tension preceding it. That means people go away feeling placated without any sense of urgency to play a role in stopping such a vision from coming to fruition.

I don’t want people to be left with a lazy feeling of complacency because some supplied hero has done all the hard work for them.

I want to spark Apocaloptimistic action, courageous resistance, and Badass disobedience in reality.

I want the sleeping to reclaim their minds, rediscover their critical thinking, recognize propaganda, defend our freedom, awaken to tyranny, and become ungovernable.

I want people to escape their socially engineered granfalloons, find their karass, and live their cheng.

It’s not too late.

The story isn’t over.

We can write a new ending together.

Here is the formula I defined for Apocaloptimism:

Confront the Brutal Facts + Stockdale Paradox

Dystopian tales are the equivalent of Confront the Brutal Facts.

Like it or not, the cruelites, philanthropaths, tyrants, and colluders are rocketing into this future at lightspeed. Humans are being replaced with our future AI overlords, which will be programmed to enslave us. No grace, no mercy, no nuance, no exceptions.

As I wrote in Letter to a Colluder in 2021:

Eventually, you will be replaced by robots. Then you will become one of the plebeians you presently persecute—and the few of us who survive the democide will be equally disempowered, dependent, divested of possessions, and enslaved to a totalitarian technocracy. Mass surveillance will monitor our every twitch, tallying credits and demerits to our social credit score in accordance with the autocratic algorithms.

There will be no humans left to administer mercy. There will be no halfway decent enforcer to let this one slide. There will be no compassionate official to consider mitigating circumstances.

All grays will be washed into an unending, unflinching, unsparing blackness from which the dawn never emerges.

The totality of this New World Tyranny is unprecedented in human history. Indeed, it may signal the end of all human history, now and forevermore.

Unless you stop colluding. Unless you stop enforcing. Unless you stop enabling.

We are living in the twilight of Concentration Camp 2.0.

As usual, the plans for twenty-minute concentration camps are cloaked in euphemistic Aesopian language such as “Climate-Friendly Areas (CFAs),” “Climate-Friendly and Equitable Communities,” “C40 cities,” “VISION 2040,” and “smart cities.”

All over the world, land use planning laws are being rewritten to quietly alter the landscape; prohibit self-sustaining activities such as growing and rearing your own food; and force dependence on the State.

The blueprints for one-world subjugation are being disseminated worldwide through local entities. Most people have no idea the prison walls are being erected around them.

I recently attended a private presentation by author Diana Anderson, who has been tracing the implementation of twenty-minute concentration camps in Oregon. Below is the flyer she distributed at the event. I will be attending a lecture by her this evening to gather more details and action steps, which I hope to share in a future article.

This is no longer a dystopian fiction—it is reality.

But it’s not too late to rewrite the ending—if we act now.

This is where the Stockdale Paradox portion of Apocaloptimism comes into play.

As a chaser to the bleak future depicted in In Five Years, I will close below with the 2026 version of New Year’s rEvolution, a collaborative poem I wrote with Shabnam Palesa Mohamed in 2025.

It’s time to reclaim our sovereignty from the philanthropaths, globalist scammers, and their muses. Let’s work toward achieving liberation, independence, and justice … in five years.

In Five Years (a Short Story)

In five years, no one will remember natural immunity existed. They will call you an anti-vaxxer for whispering such a term while they stand in line for their 187th booster.

In five years, no one will remember where one person’s body ends and the body politic begins. They will call you selfish for thinking you have a right to decide how your body is handled and what transgresses the perimeters of your flesh.

In five years, no one will remember there was such a thing as privacy. They will call you a criminal for suggesting people should be permitted a quiet space away from the eyes of Big Mother, Big Tech, and your surveilling cohabitants.

In five years, no one will remember the concept of independence. They will call you antisocial for wishing to carve out your own destiny rather than relying on the beneficence of OneState.

In five years, no one will remember they have the right to say, “No.” They will call you an insurrectionist for questioning the commands spilling out of the telescreen.

In five years, no one will remember natural birth ever occurred. They will call you primitive for thinking embryos were once fertilized and grown inside the body rather than in a laboratory.

In five years, no one will remember parents once cared for their own children. They will call you anti-child if you wish to live with your progeny instead of surrendering your newborns to the State so you can resume your lives of lazy, submissive convenience.

In five years, no one will remember heart attacks, strokes, and blot clots were previously uncommon among children, teens, and young adults. They will call you anti-medicine for saying the young were predominantly healthy with rare exceptions.

In five years, no one will remember diversity of opinion once existed. They will call you a heretic for choosing to think your own thoughts instead of zealously professing the beliefs issued by OneState.

In five years, no one will remember what responsibility was. They will call you ungrateful if you want to unplug from the Metaverse and seize control of your own life and will.

In five years, no one will remember what freedom means. They will call you a conspiracy theorist for claiming people once had the ability to do what they liked, go where they liked, and think what they liked.

In five years, no one will remember what love was. They will call you intolerant for wishing to bond with a single beloved instead of offering your body to whosoever demands it.

In five years, no one will remember death once happened naturally. They will call you a science-denier if you express a longing to remain alive beyond the term allotted by OneState.

Founder of the Association for Vaccine Injury in Scotland

Looking back to early 2020, I began to wake up to what was happening to us all in Scotland. Fear and terror were being weaponised against the population on a daily basis. The lockdowns were causing death and destruction, and nobody was allowed to question the narrative.

I had a small business that would eventually become another victim of these draconian measures. So I began the futile fight against those measures by trying to engage with my political representatives—only to hit a brick wall that left my head sore from banging against it so many times.

Eventually, the miracle “remedy” of the vaccines began to roll out, and I made the early decision to give them a wide berth. This so-called remedy was being offered as our way out of lockdowns and restrictions, but my instincts screamed clearly to avoid it at all costs.

Unfortunately, my wife, who worked in a Glasgow school, decided to take the shot. Even as I write this, my heart sinks at what was to come after her second Pfizer dose. At first, she couldn’t articulate what had happened to her, but she kept repeating the words “I’ve been poisoned” over and over again.

Now we were in a new fight—this time with our healthcare system, where the standard reply to our cries for help was, “Can you prove it?”

It was during this time in 2021 that I first met Mr John Watt and Mr Alex Mitchell, both of whom had been injured and were desperately trying to get help while raising awareness. I had managed to secure a meeting with my local MSP, who promised she would listen to my concerns. I invited John and Alex to join me, and we laid everything out to her.

Needless to say, promises were made and promises were broken, and we began to realise exactly what we were up against. But bonds had been forged and friendships formed that still stand strong to this day.

It was through these relationships that we found a private doctor who would finally diagnose and treat my wife. I will never forget the day she came out of her first consultation. She had been in with the doctor for over an hour, and she emerged in tears. On the one hand, she was overwhelmingly grateful that someone had finally listened; on the other, she was terrified for the future.

This was the beginning of our journey to forming a charity. Like so many others around the world, it started in confusion, feeling lost and alone. In Scotland, a Facebook group called SVIG (Scottish Vaccine Injury Group) had sprung up to offer support and guidance to people all over the country who were trying to figure out what had happened to them. I will always be grateful for the work they did then—and continue to do—for the injured in Scotland, including my wife.

Out of that group, a small number of us decided to form a proper charity that could raise funds and speak up for the injured because nobody in our Parliament was willing to take this on. As individuals, many of us had contacted our representatives without any success, leaving us with the clear impression that nobody would ever take up our cause. The silence from those in Parliament was deafening—and deliberate.

So what should we do? Just lie down and stay silent? Or stand up and declare the truth? We had no choice but to stand up for ourselves and take the fight directly to their door.

Our charity board is made up entirely of people who have been injured or who have family members who have been injured. We are everyday, ordinary citizens trying to cope with what has happened to us. The fact that we have managed to form this charity at all is nothing short of a minor miracle.

In support of our new charity for the vaccine-injured, I decided to undertake a walk from my home town in Scotland to our national Parliament in Edinburgh—approximately fifty miles. As chair of the charity, I felt I had to lead by example, to raise awareness and some desperately needed funds to help the injured in Scotland.

This journey was inspired by Margaret’s powerful words: “DON’T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT.”

Along the way, I visited different NHS and public health organisations. It was time to make the comfortable feel uncomfortable. We had had enough of being ignored and gaslit. What else were we supposed to do—just lie down and die? No thanks.

Over the last few years, I have had far too many conversations with people all over Scotland who know they are injured or who have family members who have been injured. They all tell the same stories of coercion, fear, and family feuds.

Our citizens have been abused, and the abusers are still walking around making grand declarations about how “safe and effective” the vaccines are.

Finding others on this journey has been one of the saving graces of the last few years, and discovering Margaret’s work is no exception.

Cody’s reading of her work spoke so loudly to all of us that we decided to adopt it as our anthem. Listening to that courageous young man has been a source of inspiration to us all; he speaks Margaret’s words with such truth and pain.

The injured are joining hands across the world, and I will hold on to any hope I can find.

So thank you Margaret, Cody, John, Alex, and all the others across the world.

Together, we won’t let them get away with it.

Two years ago today, I had the pleasure of speaking with bestselling author Donald Jeffries on his I Protest podcast (also on Rumble). I always find interviews from past years to be fascinating time capsules. This is no exception, particularly since it took place in early 2024—before we knew Trump (or as Donald coined, Trumpenstein) would be resuming office a year later. That said, because I tend to focus on higher-level patterns in my analyses, interviews, and content, the information is ultimately evergreen and has as much value today as it did in 2024.

I first encountered Donald Jeffries’s Substack four years ago as I was composing my Letter to Governor Ron DeSantis. Donald had written a gut-wrenching account of his brother Ricky’s medical murder, which I shared as one of far-too-many examples of hospicide in my plea for DeSantis to “Veto HB 7021 to Protect Floridians from Incentivized Medical Malpractice & Hospicide” (he didn’t).

In a tragic bookend to his article about his brother, Donald just lost his beloved sister Janet and exceptionally special niece, Denise, within the space of four days. He wrote a heart-shattering tribute to them that left me sobbing, not only because it reignited my own grief but also because I feel honored to have witnessed these two bright, unique souls through such tenderly loving eyes after their candles flickered into darkness.

I hope revisiting our Apocaloptimistic conversation brings Donald some healing amidst his grief and equips you with empowering concepts, information, and resources for your tyranny-resisting toolkit. Please cherish your beloveds, dear readers, and tell them you love them while you still can.

To imply otherwise is to give them the out they are seeking.

It was not spontaneous mass hysteria.

The planning occurred in plain sight.

The planning is still occurring in plain sight.

The philanthropaths bought The $cience™.

The modelers projected the lies.

The testers concocted the crisis.

The NGOs leased the academics.

The $cientists fabricated the findings.

The mouthpieces spewed the talking points.

The organizations declared the emergency.

The governments erected the walls.

The departments rewrote the rules.

The governors quashed the rights.

The politicians passed the laws.

The bankers installed the control grid.

The stooges laundered the money.

The DOD placed the orders.

The corporations fulfilled the contracts.

The regulators approved the solution.

The laws shielded the contractors.

The agencies ignored the signals.

The behemoths consolidated the media.

The psychologists crafted the messaging.

The propagandists chanted the slogans.

The fact-chokers smeared the dissidents.

The censors silenced the questioners.

The jackboots stomped the dissenters.

The tyrants summoned.

The puppeteers jerked.

The colluders implemented.

It is the last few hours of the winter solstice—at least where I am. Tonight is the longest night of the year, signaling the transition from darkness to ever-lengthening light. It is also the seventeen-month anniversary of losing my beloved husband, Michael.

When I woke up today, I texted a loved one:

“Just woke up and had the idea to publish an artistic video (combining Michael’s words, cemetery B-roll footage, and the composition I played at his funeral) … I made a while back for both the 17-month anniversary of losing Michael and the solstice. I realized how perfect it is that the solstice is the longest night of the year, signaling the transition toward greater light. Long Night’s Journey into Day.”

Seconds after I sent that, I read a text a dear friend had sent me this morning accompanied by the following image:

“I thought of you when I saw this blessing for this magical season and the next year, and would like you to have it.”

I would like you, precious readers, to have this blessing, too.

Falling Angel

This video features an April 27, 2011, quote by Michael I discovered several months ago. It was in a forgotten file of notes I’d taken for a book we’d intended to write about his experience of being semispecial due in part to his Asperger’s syndrome. I’d recorded Michael saying:

“I am truly a fallen angel. I have nothing in common with people. I miss my wings. And I miss what angels do. They serve God only ever constantly, and it was only when they didn’t that it was bad.”

“I wonder how I got mixed up in that. So the story goes.… One moment, I think everything’s just normal, and the very next moment, I’m rising up in the air, which means because I’m going backwards, I’m falling into the air, but I’m not afraid. So I’m rising, rising, rising into space. And I’m surrounded by people like me, and I feel utterly one with them, except something’s wrong. Somehow I got mixed up in this, and now I’m punished.… Or something like that.”

Michael was identifying with his namesake, the archangel Michael, but he was also storytelling, as he often did, weaving fictions on the fly that he utterly believed in the moment. As he said on November 24, 2009:

“I believe my stories. Don’t you?”

It “just happened” that at the same time I found that quote, I’d watched the footage of hawks in flight our longtime friend Rory had filmed at the cemetery following Michael’s funeral. I instantly knew they belonged together. It was only as I was writing this paragraph that I realized these hawks are yet more wingèd messengers on my journey through grief, loss, and healing.

I set the video to Michael’s composition “Mosquito’s Last Meal,” which I’d played prior to delivering his eulogy on September 6, 2024.

May this video and solstice blessing remind you to cherish your beloveds … before they fall into the air.

Some people have a streak of mean

running through them.

This October 20, 2023, video features my Digital Autonomy and the Arts conversation with Gabriel of Libre Solutions Network and Micro-dosing Failure: A health journey.

At the time of our discussion, the Israel-Palestine conflagration had just been ignited a couple weeks earlier, and now, we have the appearance of peace.

AI tools like ChatGPT were still relatively new arrivals, and Gabriel and I were grappling with some of the ethical and creative concerns associated with this paradigm-shifting development.

Fast-forward to today—a mere two years later—and AI is so ubiquitous, students are using it to write their papers.

Idiocracy’s prediction of an illiterate future by 2505 now appears half a century optimistic.

I can’t help but think of Alvin Toffler’s 1970 book Future Shock and the subsequent 1972 documentary in which Toffler warns about the psychological repercussions and cultural whiplash resulting from the rapidity with which technology was changing society. He writes in the introduction:

“The acceleration of change in our time is, itself, an elemental force. This accelerative thrust has personal and psychological, as well as sociological, consequences. In the pages ahead, these effects of acceleration are, for the first time, systematically explored. The book argues forcefully, I hope, that, unless man quickly learns to control the rate of change in his personal affairs as well as in society at large, we are doomed to a massive adaptational breakdown.…

“In 1965, in an article in Horizon, I coined the term ‘future shock’ to describe the shattering stress and disorientation that we induce in individuals by subjecting them to too much change in too short a time.…

“It became clear that future shock is no longer a distantly potential danger, but a real sickness from which increasingly large numbers already suffer. This psycho-biological condition can be described in medical and psychiatric terms. It is the disease of change.”

If that was true of 1970—whose pace of change appears as quaint as a horse-drawn carriage now—imagine how many more people suffer from “shattering stress and disorientation” in today’s exponentially changing landscape.

Sometimes shocking change can be good, though.

In that same two-year span since my chat with Gabriel, he has made dramatic lifestyle changes, achieving a MASSIVE weight loss totaling 240 pounds!

Whatever you want to change in your life, if you think it’s too big, too arduous, or too daunting, just remember what Gabriel accomplished in two years—and draw inspiration from his herculean example.

Digital Autonomy & the Arts: Part 3

I will save the details for a separate post, but while I’m awaiting photos and attendee contributions, I thought you might enjoy listening to our conversation with Jefferson Exchange Host Mike Green on NPR affiliate station Jefferson Public Radio. Both he and Senior Producer Natalie Golay are consummate professionals, and it was a pleasure speaking with them. I enjoyed several in-depth phone calls with Natalie prior to the interview, and I appreciated her thoroughness, intellectual curiosity, and creative ideas. Normally, the guest slots are only fifteen minutes, but I suggested we add Hugo and do a full thirty minutes, and she generously agreed. Mike did a stellar job preparing for the interview and asked pertinent questions. Both he and Natalie recognize the value of fostering dialogue during this especially contentious moment in history. We are grateful to them for the opportunity to encourage depolarizing conversations and smuggle some contraband ideas out to NPR listeners.

49) You want to help the colluders fulfill the philanthropaths’ and tyrants’ dreams.

50) You don’t think your child is worth fighting for.

In One Year Without, I hinted at a recent experience that felt like a special gift delivered from Michael on the eve of his deathday.

After a friend recently sent me Come Back to Me As Lightning, I replied:

“In the past, I might have dismissed stories like this as people reading into coincidences what they want to see, but after the cascade of synchronicities I’ve experienced over the past year, I realize these are messages of such lightning-bolt specificity, their significance cannot be denied.”

I shared some of those synchronicities in Wingèd Messengers and the follow-up that piece inspired.

The opening lines of Michael’s latest missive of lightning-bolt specificity arrived on May 31, when Spotify sent me an email announcing that Deltron 3030 was embarking on a twenty-fifth anniversary tour for their eponymous debut during which Del the Funky Homosapien, Dan the Automator, and Kid Koala would be performing the album in full.

I’ve received hundreds of such emails about other concerts over the years and have deleted all without a second’s thought.

This one was different, though. For the first time in my life, I found myself tempted. For this to mean anything to anyone, you’ll need to know I’ve never been to a concert in my life—well, one, but it was when I was a baby, so I don’t remember it, although it is significant because it was a Moody Blues concert, which is how my parents first met. (For most of my life, I thought I’d also been to a Beach Boys concert, but when I asked my mom about it a few years ago, she said no, so I think it must’ve been a cover band at a local fair (which scarcely counts as a concert), and I was too young to tell the difference.)

This wasn’t just a band I liked doing a regular old concert. This was Michael’s and my favorite hiphop/rap creative collaboration reuniting to perform a concept album so Apocaloptimistically in sync with my own work that I dedicated a section to it titled Global Controls Will Have to Be Imposed in my third essay, Dr. Mengelfauci: Pinocchio, Puppeteer, or Both?, over four years ago.

The description of the album at Dan the Automator’s website reads:

“Set in the year 3030 (of course), Deltron 3030 is a dystopian rap opera scored by Nakamura’s brilliant amalgam of dark, lush string arrangements, thunderous drums, and spaced-out synths. Backed by these suites, Del the Funky Homosapien became Deltron, an aggrieved activist penning anti-capitalist screeds with the same fervor as the unnamed protagonist of Ralph Ellison’s Invisible Man. Released to widespread critical acclaim, the album remains a vivid and arresting epic unlike any the genre has produced. It is perhaps the closest rap will ever come to Orwell’s 1984.”

When 2020 hit, Deltron 3030 instantly came to mind. It appeared their predictions were coming true a thousand years ahead of time.

Deltron sets the scene in the introductory song, 3030:

Use my rapping so you all can see the hazardsPlus entertainment where many are brainlessWe cultivated a lost art of study and I brought a buddyAutomator, harder slayer, fascinating combinationsCyber warlords are aggravating abominationsArm a nation with hatred? We ain’t with that …I had to step forward, tell them this ain’t for usLiving in a post-apocalyptic world, morbid and horridThe secrets of the past they hoarded …They can’t fight the forceVictory is ours once we strike the source …It’s an eternal evil concerned with thieveryMedieval prehistoric rhetoric well we ahead of that …I insert these codes for the cataclysmEver since I had the vision use my magnetismIn this modern metropolis that tries to lock us upUnder preposterous laws, it’s not for us

Deltron’s Apocaloptimism shines through in Positive Contact as he tells us he will be exploring “The darkest side of humanity animated / The grand awakening, plan to take it in.”

In Turbulence, Del observes:

They changed the constitution for your red white and blue friendsExterminate nuisance, no one listens to what you saidThe online is touching your headWith brainwashing, with propaganda about your fearless leaderWho got two hundred bodyguards so you can’t touch him either …Elitists defeat us, they live by the beachesBubble-dome over the hemisphere, so you can’t enter here …Scratch your ID chip off ’cause everybody own it …No president, we have a ruler …Senior citizens are disposed against their wishes

Virus opens with a sample from Robin Armstrong’s spoken-word album Nuclear War 1984?:

“Global controls will have to be imposedAnd a world-governing bodywill be created to enforce themCrises precipitate change”[diabolical laughter]Secretly … plotting your demise

Evidently, I wasn’t the only one who found parallels between 2020 and 3030. This mashup was published on October 4, 2020:

Contrary to what some might assume, the virus referenced in the lyrics isn’t a contagious illness. Rather, it represents an act of creative resistance against “Corrupt politicians with leaders and their keywords / FBI and spies stealin’ bombs.” Deltron states:

I wanna devise a virusTo bring dire straits to your environmentCrush your corporations with a mild touchTrash your whole computer system and revert you to papyrusI want to make a super virusStrong enough to cause blackouts in every single metropolisCause they don’t wanna unify usSo f*ck it total anarchy and can’t nobody stop us

In other words, Deltron is leading the revolution against technocracy through creativity and imagination, a mission I share.

Deltron elucidates this strategy in Things You Can Do:

Impenetrable, incontestable indigestibleIntelligence, never let a computer tell me shitIt’s rapping innovation, penetratingArtificial life forms, who bite songs …The area of distribution, lifts the clueless …I magnetize the avid lies, my radiation shieldsReflect, rejects DecepticonsWho take the truth, and stretch it long, while I bless the song

Like Del, I am fulfilling my destiny by wielding words to topple technocratic tyranny. As Del raps in Time Keeps on Slipping:

I remake my universe every time I use a verseTo fulfill my destiny

Michael’s favorite television show was Rod Serling’s The Twilight Zone. He often noted how Serling had brilliantly eluded censorship by using a fictional format to tell difficult truths. This PBS article on Serling explains:

“Fed up with the difficulties of writing about serious issues on the conservative networks, Serling turned to science fiction and fantasy. Through an ingenious mixture of morality fable and fantasy writing, he was able to circumvent the timidity and conservatism of the television networks and sponsors. Self-producing a series of vignettes that placed average people in extraordinary situations, Serling could investigate the moral and political questions of his time. He found that he could address controversial subjects if they were cloaked in a veil of fantasy.”

Del chose a similarly surprising medium for sociopolitical commentary: rap. Critical of the debased form of rap that dominates the industry, Del sought to elevate it to an art form, writing in Madness:

The universe is one and I can see what rap can be gloriousPut in the Smithsonian my podiums for holy hymns

This twenty-fifth anniversary performance felt like a Smithsonian exhibition of sorts. Out of curiosity, I checked the tour schedule. Portland was the only venue listed in Oregon.

I immediately put the idea out of my head as I am at the other end of the state, and I cannot be away from our kitties for more than twelve hours as I need to administer hyperthyroid medication to our senior kitty, Snoopy, every twelve hours. With so many Stoic challenges and kitty emergencies over the past year, I honestly feel anxious being away from the house for more than a couple hours at a time.

Plus, the Portland concert was on Michael’s deathday, and it felt far too irreverent to do something seemingly so frivolous on such a sober date.

I also didn’t have my driver’s license at the time and could only drive with a licensed adult accompanying me. This is one of the gazillion life hurdles I have had to conquer in the wake of losing Michael.

Although I got my driver’s license in high school, Michael and I always owned stick shifts. Being congenitally clumsy and directionally impaired (as will become evident later in this article), I found it too difficult to master that skill, so he did all the driving.

Around a dozen or so years ago, I went to the DMV to renew my driver’s license but was told I needed to bring my birth certificate to complete the process. At the time, my birth certificate was stuck in a file cabinet behind a fortress of boxes in our storage room. I got an extension and forgot about it for a while.

By the time I was able to access my birth certificate, the extension had expired, and I was told I would need to do both the written and driving tests before they would issue a new license.

Since I never drove, I didn’t bother. That meant I was stranded after Michael died.

I was too busy planning his funeral and sending out invites to deal with it, but I eventually took the written test and passed, no problem.

I felt relatively comfortable behind the wheel but had to coordinate with my mom and different friends when I needed to go anywhere or get practice driving.

Fortuitously, I was talking with a neighbor’s granddaughter when I learned she was a former driver’s ed instructor. She offered to give me lessons for free and leant me her instruction manual.

Over the next few months, we managed to do three of the six lessons, but both of us were so busy, it was nearly impossible to find time to work them in. I finally decided to do my driving test in late November and just hoped I would pass.

I didn’t. I nearly did, but then I stopped at a four-way intersection when I didn’t have a Stop sign, which was an immediate fail.

Several more months passed, and I tried to squeeze in a practice driving session here and there, but my instructor friend was too busy with kids and work to ever break free.

I finally felt confident enough to try again, so I scheduled my driving test with the same tester for Friday, June 27.

At the end of the drive, the tester said, “You clearly know what you’re doing.”

Wearing my INDE/PEND/ENCE shirt, I gratefully accepted my passing score. He said it would take a little time for it to get transferred to the DMV, though, so I planned to go on Monday.

I did, but it was less than an hour before it closed, and the clerk told me there was almost zero chance of me getting in. I took a number anyway and hoped.

As the numbers counted up, I sat on the edge of my seat with my fellow waiters, with one young man joking about us being in The Hunger Games. The atmosphere turned jovial, and even though they shut down the counters right before the young man’s number and about ten before mine, we went away in good spirits after laughing off our Stoic challenge.

It took me almost three weeks, but I finally carved out time to get back to the DMV—earlier this time! As I was sitting in the waiting room, I typed on my phone:

“Driving to the DMV to get my license after my first failed attempt when the DMV closed before they got to my number, I have the radio on because I haven’t yet figured out to play my own music. Halfway there, the DJ announces someone requested a solid block of Rush. As the first notes begin playing, my eyes moisten because Michael is the one who introduced me to Rush. I don’t even realize which song it is yet until suddenly it hits me … Red Barchetta. Now I’m fighting back the tears because I don’t want my mascara to run before my driver’s license picture. I pull into the parking lot and take an extra minute to listen to the song. I don’t want to miss my DMV window so reluctantly turn off the engine before the song finishes.

“I’m typing this on my phone while waiting for my number to be called, still fighting back the tears as I realize what a crystal-clear message that was from Michael. And now I must stop because my mascara won’t survive more typing.”

The day after I passed my driving test, the idea of the Deltron 3030 concert flickered through my mind again. I had already thought about the idea, rejected it, thought it about it again, and rejected it again dozens of times. Something about it just wouldn’t let me go, and now that I could drive on my own, I decided to look up the concert schedule again.

Portland was sold out. Phew! Now I don’t have to think about it anymore, I thought. But then I noticed Sacramento still had tickets. I checked the map and realized it was two hours closer. That might actually be doable.

I let myself consider it for a few minutes. Then I envisioned driving on the I-5 through Northern California and into the Bay Area, where Michael and I had once lived one deeply traumatizing year we described as the Inferno before ascending to Paradisio in Oregon. I could feel the PTSD coming on at the idea of driving through all that suffocating concrete and asphalt we had fled from decades ago and vowed to never return to.

So that was a clear no. Okay, good, now I can stop thinking about it again, I thought.

But I didn’t.

Then, shortly after midnight on the Fourth of July, Sane Francisco published this post.

One click led to another, and suddenly, I was retrieving my jaw from the floor after watching her supremely well-executed 50 Shades of Beige under her Single Beige Female nom de plume.

I immediately hopped onto Substack Chat to propose a collaboration. Just as I was about to type those words, I saw these words appear in her chat thread:

“MAA, happy 4th of July! Been meaning to reach out and see if you wanted to collab on a video sometime? Maybe you have some written words I could do something with?”

I replied:

“GTFO of my head!!!!! I was just about to hop on here and ask you exactly the same!!!!!”

She then said:

“Oh, wow, I just saw your comment. Blushing, thank you :)”

I had thought maybe it was my comment on her post that had prompted her to write me out of the blue to propose a collaboration after having only corresponded with me briefly a few times before, but no, she hadn’t even seen the comment until after suggesting that.

Synchronicity bells started clanging.

Having listened to her music, I thought maybe she would know Deltron 3030 and be interested in attending a concert in her vicinity. I sent her the link with the tour schedule and wrote:

“BTW, are you a Deltron 3030 fan? They[’re] doing a 25-year anniversary performance of their self-titled debut album, which is one of my favorite albums of all time. It will be absolutely epic, I’m sure. If I lived near one of these venues, I would be there in a heartbeat.”

Three minutes later, I wrote:

“OMG, I just noticed one of the performances is in Bend, OR! I missed that before! I might be able to swing that!”

Sometime between the last time I had checked the tours and this happenstance sharing with Sane Francisco, they’d added a concert in a smaller town I could feasibly drive to and still get back with plenty of time to take care of the kitties.

Eighteen minutes later, I texted one of my best friends, Rhonda, whom some of you may recall from the photo of us hugging at Michael’s service:

“I hope you’re awake and this doesn’t wake you up. Are you available on Sunday, July 20? I have a crazy idea, and I think you might be crazy enough to do it with me 😁”

Rhonda replied:

“Yes I’m up, in [her hometown] making potato salad for BBQ and plan on being home by then. Love crazy ideas...lol”

Then I said:

“OMG. I can’t believe I did this, but I just bought 2 tickets to Deltron 3030’s 25th anniversary performance of their self-titled debut album on July 20 in Bend.”

She replied:

“No, i have not heard of them. I don’t think I have any comments. I would love to help your dream come true.”

“Commitments...lol”

She later added:

“Always up for some fun with a good friend.”

So that was it. I’d done it. I was committed. I offered to do the three-hour drive there, and she would drive back.

As the date approached, I grew increasingly anxious. I have security cameras set up all around the house, so I comforted myself with knowing I could check the kitties and house remotely.

Still, I had trouble sleeping for days and suffered adrenal exhaustion, too tired to sleep and my nerves buzzing nonstop.

A week before the concert, I texted another friend I thought might be interested in joining us. He politely declined, saying it “sounds utterly exhausting lol.” I replied:

“I talked to Rhonda today, and I was like, ‘What did I do?’ 😹 I am already exhausted and anxious thinking about it but can’t return the tickets now. If I could teleport there and back, that would be one thing, but then the whole road trip thing and then the loudness of the concert and sensory overload … holy crap, what was I thinking 🤦‍♀️😆”

The next day, I was writing my dear upstander friends Mickey Z. and Alicen Grey to thank them for sending me a thoughtful gift in advance of the one-year anniversary of Michael’s death. I wrote them:

“I am also preparing myself to do something so outside my comfort zone, I’ve been feeling a lot of anxiety and guilt about it. I keep thinking about you, Mickey, working up the courage to [conquer a longstanding fear] and your reminders that growth and resilience come from such endeavors.…

“This felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience that also ties in to Michael, even though he would never consider going due to his Asperger’s.…

“It felt like too many synchronicities to ignore, so I bought two tickets on an impulse and then texted Rhonda.…

“Yesterday, I started feeling really anxious about being away from the kitties and house for so long and guilty for doing it on the eve of Michael’s first in memoriam.… I started looking into the insurance I got to see what my options for canceling the tickets were but realized it only covers natural disasters and the like, so that’s out.

“Rhonda doesn’t even know Deltron 3030, so she’s doing this entirely for me, which makes me feel guilty, too, although I think she’ll enjoy it.…

“She asked me to send her some links so she could check out their music, and I found an older live performance that made me realize yes, okay, this is going to be special. I will probably never do anything like this in my life again, so I guess I’ll just have to jump off the diving board now that I’m already there and hope it will wind up creating a beautiful shared memory with Rhonda as Michael was always reminding me about the importance of creating shared memories.”

When Mickey and Alicen cheered me on, I said:

“I’ve been experiencing so many conflicting feelings about this but also feel like it’s something I’ve been guided toward so guess I need to let go of my anxiety and guilt and just trust 💗”

In a later reply to Alicen, I wrote:

“Your and Mickey’s encouragement regarding the concert helped me set aside the anxiety and guilt, and I have been getting excited about it.…

“Rhonda called last night. She knows this is waayyy outside my comfort zone and really wants to support me, and I let her know how much I appreciate her friendship and that I’m looking forward to creating this shared memory together. She’s getting excited about it, too, and said, ‘This is going to be fun!’ That helps because I didn’t want her to be doing this just for me.”

The day of the concert finally arrived. With great effort and massive deployments of sleep aids, I managed to get two good nights of sleep in a row, enabling me to recover sufficiently from my adrenal exhaustion for the long day and night ahead.

The drive there—the longest I’d ever driven—was a picturesque journey through verdant forests, bucolic towns, and mountainous scenery. Although I’d been a half-hour late picking Rhonda up, we had allotted some extra just-in-case time, so we pulled into the parking lot at the exact time of our reservations at what we’d been told was the best Thai restaurant in Bend. It was indeed fabulous, although we only stayed long enough to go to the bathroom and scarf down our meals before racing to the concert line.

It’s a good thing we arrived an hour early because a line was already forming down the block.

The night before the trip, I’d packaged up three Mistakes Were NOT Made shirts and three signed copies of my dystopian fairy tale along with a handwritten card to Dan, Del, and Kid Koala (Eric) proposing a potential collaboration.

The problem was the venue prohibited bags larger than a wallet in their security rules. So I left it in the car before we walked several blocks to the concert. Once we got inside, though, we saw people with backpacks, large purses, and all kinds of contraband, so I asked a security guard if I might be able to run and fetch my gifts. He said they weren’t letting people back in because of people trying to sneak in but to talk to the merch guy to see what might be possible.

The merch guy, Khari of Hieroglyphics Imperium, was a true gentleman. I purchased a shirt and asked if it would be possible for me to give the gifts to him to deliver to the band. He assured me he would help and gave me his card.

I left Rhonda and started dashing back to the car. I had around twenty-five minutes. As it turned out, I would need every minute because I got lost looking for the car. Rhonda had taken a picture, so I’d neglected to note our location assuming we’d be returning together.

I raced around for blocks and blocks, at one point giving up and starting to return to the concert as I was running out of time. But then I thought no way am I giving up after all this effort!

I pondered a moment and remembered seeing a FedEx shop across from where we’d parked. I tried searching on my phone, but my Internet connection wasn’t working, so I stopped a couple on the street and asked if they knew where it was. They didn’t but looked it up on their phone and pointed me in the right direction.

I nearly got lost again but finally made it to the car, sweaty but triumphant. I grabbed the giant ziplock bag with the gifts and started running back to the venue … then got lost again and wound up back at our car 😂

I remembered we’d been directed to cut through an ally on the way from the car. The reason I’d gotten lost originally is I didn’t want to walk through there by myself so went to the next street instead, which turned out to be my undoing.

This time, I decided to run through the ally, and I started recognizing streets and stores and then finally arrived at the venue, this time with a much longer line.

I’d already alerted the clerk that I would be running to my car to get something, so I jumped to the front of the line and slipped back in with her okay.

I arrived at 8 pm, exactly when the concert was supposed to start.

Rhonda had picked a couple seats for us against the wall, but as the opening act—Kid Koala and Lealani—got started, she hopped up on the ledge behind us with her feet on the chair. I quickly joined her, and we had a fantastic view. One of the employees had offered to let us into the VIP balcony, but we were happy where we were so opted to stay there.

Kid Koala and Lealani were both high-energy, and it was thrilling to see Kid Koala scratching after having appreciated his turntablism since discovering Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (2000) in the early noughties.

I especially liked Kid Koala’s Things Are Gonna Change, and they played this striking video on the monitor during the performance.

Not only is the message tantalizingly ungovernable (written during COVID tyranny), but I appreciate that Eric (like Del) is a visual artist as well as a musical one. As a digital collage artist myself, I resonate with their collage-style auditory and visual aesthetic.

No offense to Eric and Lealani, but after the opening act ended and they were playing background music before the main act, I told Rhonda, “I’m glad I came, but I don’t think I’d ever do anything like this again.”

As much as I was enjoying myself, I was fretting about the kitties because I hadn’t been able to check the security cameras due to the aforementioned Internet connection issue (which I later discovered was due to my VPN, so restarting my phone and turning that off fixed it).

That’s when it happened.

The entire point of this journey.

The months of contemplating, resisting, committing, anticipating, regretting, and then eagerly embracing this experience.

All of it was about this one moment.

In the middle of a string of hiphop tracks befitting of the context, a song of a completely different genre started playing—an anomaly amidst all that came before and after it: Ain’t No Sunshine by Bill Withers.

This is a song so specific to Michael and me that I included the video and lyrics in The Art of Losing, writing:

“Michael used to sing Ain’t No Sunshine about me when we had to be parted. Now I sing it about him … until we can be reunited in the Long Home.”

Not only is this a profoundly special song to us, but it is the theme song of my bereavement—and it was playing on the eve of the one-year anniversary of Michael’s death.

It was like Michael had taken me on this scavenger hunt/obstacle course, removing each excuse until I finally relented, bought the tickets, picked the perfect friend to accompany me, and pushed through despite my mounting anxieties about leaving the kitties and the house for so long … all to play me this song.

That’s when I knew with all my heart’s certainty that it was a love letter from Michael, a message he had timed for that specific second. But arriving there would require me to overcome all these barriers—getting my driver’s license; the debilitating anxiety and guilt of leaving the kitties for more than a few hours; finding a friend crazy enough to go with me; dreadful insomnia spanning multiple days that triggered adrenal exhaustion; a deep cut between my left little and ring toes that made it too painful to wear shoes with closed toes for several days; a pounding migraine; the cost of an excursion when I’m struggling to pay bills; and the uncomfortable proximity to the anniversary of Michael’s death and the associated guilt of doing something so lighthearted on its eve.

Michael knows how rational I am and that I tend to find logical explanations for apparent synchronicities, so he had to make the communication so glaringly obvious, I couldn’t help but accept it gratefully.

It was exactly the sort of grand romantic gesture Michael would make. He was always finding ways to surprise me, to spring spontaneous delights that would break me out of my workaholic stupor—whether it be building a fort so we could crawl inside and talk for hours; making me sit down so he could play all the video treasures ranging from the heartbreaking to the hilarious he’d collected while I was sleeping; commencing a marathon of one of our old favorite shows, Alien Nation (also a favorite of Rhonda’s), months before he took his last breath; or embarking on a musical adventure during which he captured snippets from the movies Freaks and Bedlum as they were playing on cable and we set them to Rob Dougan’s Clubbed to Death from The Matrix soundtrack, inventing a genre we called talkies years before we discovered kindreds like The Avalanches’s Frontier Psychiatrist.

As Ain’t No Sunshine played, I turned to Rhonda and told her, “Michael used to sing this song to me all the time.”

Then I started balling. It was loud and dark, so no one else noticed—except Rhonda.

She clasped my fingers tightly and said, “This is what you were here for. To feel that.”

After a while, I took my hand away to wipe my tears. When I set it back down, Rhonda held it again.

We sat quietly for a while as I cried some more. Then it was time for Deltron 3030 to start their act.

Also no offense to Del, Dan, and Eric—whose stars were all out and who performed with galvanizing gusto—the highlight of the evening had just occurred and would be impossible to top.

Now knowing I was meant to be there, I was able to relax, enjoy, and sing along to their spectacular performance. Those who waited patiently after the concert’s initial closing got to experience a preview of a work in progress from their upcoming album.

As if that wasn’t enough, they waited another spell before returning to stage and delivering a fireworks-worthy performance of their masterpiece Clint Eastwood, a particularly delicious surprise because it comes from a different collaboration—the better-known Gorillaz—and is ultimately my favorite song by them. Here is a live performance from 2014 to whet your appetite.

As much as I would have liked to stay to meet Del, Dan, and Eric, it was already around 11 pm, and Rhonda was having to drive the three-hour stretch home on what would turn out to be an arduous route due to poor lighting and lack of reflectors and guardrails.

Thank goodness, she was up to the challenge, and once the visibility improved a bit, we settled into a deep conversation about all the things we hadn’t gotten a chance to talk about over the years as we’d lost touch during the COVID era. We’d only reconnected when she called me synchronistically just as I was preparing to call her and let her know about Michael.

I was delighted to discover she is not only wide awake, but she was telling me about some things I didn’t even know, which rarely happens ;-)

Once I got home, I rubbed thyroid ointment into Snoopy’s ear and proceeded to greet, feed, and pet all the euphoric kitties—who had all survived my half-day away intact.

Famished, I remembered the leftover pastrami-avocado keto sandwich I’d left in the fridge the night before. After devouring it, I glanced at the stove clock. It read 4:06 am.

My knees buckled as I dropped to the kitchen floor and broke into wailing. At that time exactly a year before, I was spending my last hour with the physical Michael.

Lovebug patted up beside me, gazing at me. I put him on my lap, but he jumped off. He took a few steps and then whipped around with a look of great concern as he noticed I was still wailing. He returned to my side, indicating he was ready to be picked up and put on my lap. I did so, and, this time, he laid in a parenthesis while staring up at me and purring as I held him and thanked him over and over again for comforting me. Smoky joined in and started swirling around for pets. Lovebug eventually tired of Smoky’s tail tickling him and hopped down once he saw I had recovered.

It was time to clean the litter boxes and go to bed, but first, I let our best friend; Meredith Miller; and Mickey and Alicen know what the adventure had really been about. A few days later, I wrote in a reply to Mickey:

“I am learning to keep my heart open to the torrent of miraculous synchronicities, blessings, and healing gifts that keep surprising me. I remain in a perpetual state of awestruck gratitude to God, Michael, the Tao, and friends like you and Alicen 🙏💞🙌”

As if I hadn’t already been showered with enough synchronicities, on July 21, Michael’s deathday, I received a card in the mail from my deeply attuned friend Susan, whose wise writings I’ve shared previously.

Once I caught my breath, I wrote her:

“I wanted to let you know your wonderful card and addendum (and generous gift!) arrived on July 21—perfectly timed for Michael’s deathday.

“Even more synchronistic, I had a flicker of recognition when I looked at the beautiful mountains on the front of the card. Out of curiosity, I flipped it over and read the location: ‘Bend • Oregon.’

“The fact that you picked out that card but then waited to send it—all for it to arrive in harmony with my Bend trip and Michael’s in memoriam feels too astonishingly coordinated to ignore.

“Thank you for being part of the unfolding miracles that are carrying me through each day.”

She replied:

“Oh, this is so beautiful! I had forgotten that the image on the card was from Bend : ) So, it was not intentional on my part (definitely not from a year ago!). And with mail these days, one never knows when something will arrive, and to have it arrive on Michaelsday. For all my worrying that I hadn’t sent exactly what I had wanted to send, it turned out so beautifully : )

She later shared:

“I work at a Synagogue and each week people are commemorating their loved ones on their Yahrzeit, the death day of their family members. I think it’s a beautiful honoring and remembering. 

“Something I came across in a reading recently surmised that when people arrive in the beatific vision of heaven, they forget their human birthday and celebrate their human death day for all the wonder that came after.”

I told her:

“I am reminded (again) of this Eudora Welty quote I shared in The Work of My Great-Grandmother’s Hands:

“The events in our lives happen in a sequence in time, but in their significance to ourselves, they find their own order … the continuous thread of revelation.”

Thank you so much for letting me know about Yahrzeit! I’m sure you know it reminds me of the quote from Michael I shared in my one-year post:

“In heaven, everyone knows their deathday. No one remembers their birthday. And everyone says it proudly.”—November 1, 2009

Susan responded:

“Oh, that’s splendid of me, quoting you back to you!

“(Or rather, quoting Michael-through-you, back to you...)

“So, that’s where I read that : )

“Beautiful!”

A few days ago, I woke up mid-sleep and jotted down these fragments:

“I don’t often find myself thinking something in my life is unfair. I see Stoic challenges as an opportunity for growth. But today while I was talking to Michael, which usually starts out as something funny I think of that I think would make him laugh, so I say it aloud and then laugh and then fall into a crying jag as I continue talking aloud to him. This time, I found myself saying things like, ‘It’s not fair,’ ‘You were so young,’ ‘Why did you have to go?’ I think our approaching 33-year anniversary makes me realize all the years, indeed decades, of blissful marriage, creative collaborations, laughter, and profound conversations we were robbed of. We could have had a 40th, 50th, maybe even 60th anniversary.

“And I realize we will. As long as I’m alive and even after; our anniversaries will continue to age with our time together, even if that togetherness takes nonmaterial forms.

“An experience I had the evening before his deathday made me understand that Michael is still with me, still guiding me, still surprising me, still making me laugh and cry and think and learn.”

Happy anniversary, my beloved. Here’s to our next thirty-three years together.

If it looks like I just rolled out of bed, threw my hair into pigtails, and plopped on a hat along with my Toothpaste for Dinner “Bad poetry oh noetry” shirt, that’s because I did. Since Heather’s podcast is audio-only, neither of us expected anyone else to see this footage, so no need to lecture me about my wardrobe 😹

A naturopathic medical doctor with a board certification in classical homeopathy, Heather is the author of Transforming Trauma: A Drugless & Creative Path to Healing PTS and ACE; Surviving a Viral Pandemic: Through the Lens of a Naturopathic Medical Doctor; and FLAWED, a faerie tale mystery novel for adults now available on Audible as well.

In her practice, she blends naturopathic medicine with the expressive arts. Heather focuses on healing difficult-to-treat conditions such as psychological trauma, chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, and addiction by balancing the patients’ biochemistry and helping them tell or revise the story/event.

Heather delivered expert testimony at the National Citizens Inquiry on March 6, 2025.

On a more somber note, this is the last interview I gave before Michael’s sudden death.

I remember feeling aching empathy for Heather as she referenced the catastrophic loss of her beloved husband, Avi Noam Gross, to hospicide—with nary an inkling that I myself was about to be widowed three weeks and two days later.

Both Avi and Michael were composers. Like Michael and me, Heather and her husband were creative collaborators, best friends, and soulmates. She and Avi wrote musicals and novels together.

The instant Heather read my email informing her about Michael’s death, she called me. This was at a time when the agony was so raw, I could barely get out any words. It took me a week just to summon the strength to call my father because I was worried only shrieking sobs would come out if I’d picked up the phone sooner.

Few people in the world understood better what I was enduring at that moment. Heather I and wept more than we spoke, communicating in a language older than words.

When Vera Sharav learned I’d become a widow, she called me, saying, “We’re sisters now.”

Heather, Vera, and I are sisters now. This is a sisterhood you never want to join, but if you must, you are grateful for it.

As I was preparing the video of my conversation with Heather for this post, tears brimmed my eyes when I heard myself utter these words:

“I really admire people who transmute their tragedy and their trauma into things that help others.… You go through so much suffering, yet you’re giving back and you’re overcoming it and using it to help others. So I applaud that.”

It felt like a delayed-release message to my future—now present—self, reminding me of this Eudora Welty quote that found me in the ever-unfolding synchronicities comprising my life:

“The events in our lives happen in a sequence in time, but in their significance to ourselves, they find their own order … the continuous thread of revelation.”

Although it’s only been one year, it feels like a lifetime ago, and in a way, it was. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I only had five more weeks to treasure Michael, the love of my life, Patron Saint of Insects, my favorite composer, and my spiritual guide.

The video thumbnail features the last photo Michael took of me. He shot it along with a serious one just after this podcast was recorded. Ahmad chose the smiling one, which felt more fitting for our jubilant conversation.

Ahmad is the closest I have to a brother. We felt a profound kinship from the moment Mike Yeadon introduced us, as I shared in the Profile in Courage I wrote on Ahmad accompanying the video of his reading of Eulogy for the COVID Kapos.

We are in synch on pretty much every issue we’ve discussed. We are both scouts (truth-seekers) as opposed to soldiers (belief-defenders).

Ahmad’s recent post on The Final Goal and Plan of the Ruling Oligarchy was like reading a distilled version of my notes for my Corona Investigative Committee presentation from three years ago. We independently arrived at nearly identical conclusions regarding the goals of the cruelites, philanthropaths, and tyrants—mine based on examining tens of thousands of pieces of evidence and Ahmad’s based on interviewing hundreds of erudite guests with encyclopedic expertise spanning a diverse array of topics.

We cover all these subjects and far more in this exhilarating, broad-spectrum Apocaloptimistic conversation. I hope you will have as much fun watching (or reading) it as we had making it.

March 16, 2023, is also the date of my Glenn Beck interview, which collided with Tess’s reading to set the Internet alight as thousands of new readers discovered the video and joined in making it a viral phenomenon that trended on Twitter for days.

One Poem to Wake the World catalogs dozens of tweets by pivotal figures sharing the video, but I want to especially highlight Dr. Pierre Kory, who not only tweeted it out twice but also talked about it on the Jimmy Dore Show.

On March 27, 2023, I appeared on the World Council for Health’s General Assembly Meeting #82 to discuss my poem’s viralization, its inspiration, and what the closing refrain—“Don’t let Them get away with it”—means to me. I am publishing that interview here today in honor of the two-year anniversary of Tess’s video. You will find the transcript below.

Then, last New Year’s Day, I published Vera Sharav’s historic reading on the poem’s two-year anniversary.

During a Doc Malik podcast last year, Ahmad asked me to deliver an impromptu reading of Mistakes Were NOT Made, which is followed by my reflections on the poem.

Then, just a few days ago, one of my favorite resistance artists, Anthony Freda—most famously CJ Hopkins’s book cover illustrator and creator of The Rise of the New Normal Reich cover that got CJ convicted of thoughtcrimes in Berlin despite an initial victory following a courtroom speech for the ages—surprised me with the following exquisitely haunting gift:

Together, we are harnessing the power of words, videos, and art to hold the philanthropaths, racketeers, tyrants, experts, media, politicians, kapos, colluders, Covidians, cowards, and other perpetrators and enablers responsible for crimes against humanity.

Without further ado, it gives me great pleasure to talk about our first guest this evening. Margaret Anna Alice, in collaboration with Tess Lawrie, has turned the Internet upside-down over the last week with Tess Lawrie’s reading of her epic poem Mistakes Were NOT Made. It went out just over a week ago. It got a HUGE, massive viral reaction online.

These are the people that retweeted it: Bret Weinstein, Pierre Kory, Robin Monotti, Jikkyleaks, New World Odor, Awake in Belfast, Threads Irish, Maajid Nawaz, Right Said Fred, James Thorp, Toby Rogers, Vaccine Safety Research Foundation—really, it just generated a huge global response.

Hearts and minds have been touched right around the world with the words that Dr. Tess Lawrie read out of Margaret’s poem.

“This is brilliantly said. Thank you for everything you have done since 2020 to try and help society realize the extent of the lies.”

“Mind blown. If you want a two minute rundown of what they did and how it was planned down to the very last detail, watch this. One of the best videos I’ve seen in the last three years about the last three years.”

“Half asleep waking up. I almost passed this by. Then I heard the words ‘Armenian genocide…’ As an Armenian American whose Grandparents fled. It hooked me, the rest just solidified me. Beautiful and horrifying work. Will we rise and demand accountability?”

“Absolutely beautiful and heartfelt. A true anthem for justice.”

These are messages that came in from across the world.

“So well articulated in 4 minutes and everything is there. I agree no amnesty for any of them including the judges, doctors, scientists, politicians, health officials [officers], journalists, Big Tech, Pharma, Bankers, UN, WHO, WEF, and all of them [DoD, et al]. I would like to see charges for democide and treason.”

And maybe the most poignant one of all:

“Those last seven words of the poem are so important, ‘Don’t Let Them Get Away With It.’”

Now, just in case you missed it, I’d like to be able to say to you now, here is what all the fuss was about:

JC:

The creator and the writer of those absolutely most powerful words, Margaret Anna Alice, welcome to the World Council for Health General Assembly #82.

So, can you just start by telling me, Where did it come from? How did it come about? Where did you—what, did you wake up one morning and thought, “I’m going to write this life-changing poem”? What happened?

MAA:

Well, it actually originated from a conversation with Mike Yeadon. Both of us had independently been noticing people in the medical freedom movement who are on “our side” adopting the language that implied that this was the “biggest medical blunder in history,” or the response to COVID was “botched” and it was “bungled.” And we were seeing this from people who were very influential in the movement. And I began—just this line came to mind, which was “Mistakes Were NOT Made,” because, of course, we are at the point of this psyop where the lies are collapsing.

Denis Rancourt had a very informative tweet where he referenced, I believe it’s Erving Goffman’s “The Cooling of the Mark,” or “Cooling the Mark Out.”

When you have a long con, there comes a point when the people who are being conned begin to realize what is happening. And so, one of the participants in the con stays behind to kind of cool out the mark. And that is what we have begun seeing with all these limited hangout articles—of course, the most notorious being Emily Oster’s “We Need to Declare a Pandemic Amnesty” [Let’s Declare A Pandemic Amnesty]. And they are trying to cool out the mark for those of us who are aware that this deception has been occurring and the atrocities that have been committed in the name of COVID. And so, the worldwide response to Emily Oster’s piece shows that people are absolutely not going to accept this attempt to tamp down the rage about crimes against humanity.

We are demanding justice. And it’s very important that people within the resistance use that framing as opposed to what I consider the enemy’s framing, where they are framing it as “mistakes” so they can get away with what they’ve done. “Oh, we just, it was an oopsie.”

No, every single decision was absolutely deliberate. It was 180 degrees opposite of conventional public health practices from knowledge that we have accumulated for the past century for dealing with crises like this. And it had—and I don’t know if you’ll be reading Bret Weinstein’s tweet about it, but I especially appreciated that he says, “You do not get the inverse of an excellent response by accident.” And over and over and over again, every single decision that was made was damaging to public health as opposed to promoting it.

And I did—oh, go ahead.

JC:

No, I was about to say, Was it difficult to write? It’s a very emotional piece of work. Did you upset yourself when you were writing it? You know, getting those words out and you, like you’ve just explained, you know, Mistakes Were NOT Made. Did you, was that an emotional process for you?

MAA:

I don’t—I wouldn’t say it was emotional, I would say it was cathartic. And the first stanza, you know, about the Armenian genocide was not a mistake—that all just kind of flooded out. And then I was looking back at my correspondence, and I told Mike Yeadon on Christmas Day that I had started this piece that was inspired by our conversation. And at the time, I didn’t know it was going to be a poem. I thought it was going to be an essay. But as I revisited it and began working on it, I realized, it just became a poem. It had its own life and it wanted to come out in this particular way. And I was, it was just kind of flowing through me. And I just kept chiseling, chiseling, chiseling until it was—I wanted these very short, stark, powerful lines. And it was my attempt to capture the last three years of COVID tyranny as succinctly as I possibly could while also covering the entire gamut of all of the different elements and people involved that had to be coordinating this in order for this to happen.

JC:

You’re an author. This isn’t the first thing that you’ve written. Tell us a little bit about your other work. And does it have those kinds of similar themes going through it? Or was this a kind of departure from the norm for you? Or, you know, let our viewers know what else that you have done. Because, I mean, I found out about you literally just over a week ago. I didn’t know about you and, you know, you’re obviously very talented. So yeah, tell us about the other work you do.

MAA:

I started my Substack almost exactly two years ago in April 2021. And I stated my mission as to unmask totalitarianism and awaken the sleeping before tyranny triumphs. And I would add to that, to stop democide and also to galvanize the resistance. So, I kind of, I’ve adopted the term Apocaloptimist, and it’s kind of the combination of, I don’t know if you’ve heard of the Stockdale Paradox, but essentially you are Confronting the Brutal Facts while simultaneously being optimistic about the outcome and the possibility of forging a way forward to a better way. And I have a piece at my Substack called Letter to My Karass where I actually talk about that in more detail.

But basically, I’ve been writing about totalitarianism; vaccine harms and damage and murder; hospicide—all of the different aspects of COVID tyranny. And I know a lot of people focus on this piece, one little piece, the totalitarianism or the vaxx harm. And I kind of try to cover all of it. I’m sort of looking at the whole elephant whereas a lot of people are looking at the different pieces. And so, this particular poem for me was like the summation of my work for the past two years. I think I succeeded in linking to pretty much every single piece that I’ve written throughout the poem. And if people haven’t actually gone to my Substack, MargaretAnnaAlice.com, and you can—in the video post, I have the original poem published at the end of it, and you’ll see practically every word is linked. And this is kind of a common theme throughout my work, and it does irritate some people, but my readers absolutely love it because they’re avid readers and researchers. And I attempt to essentially provide substantiating evidence for every single claim I make in my writing. And this is throughout all of my work.

And I have something called a Wake-up Toolkit where I have organized my essays and poetry and different work by topic. So, that’s a good introduction for someone who’s interested in seeing—“Oh, I want to see what articles are available on totalitarianism or democide.”

And the nice, really encouraging thing is a lot of my pieces, people have used to help fight mandates with their employers. I heard from the mother of an autistic girl who was very traumatized by having to wear masks. And so, she used my essay [Letter to the Oregon Health Authority] when she was presenting her argument about trying to get an exemption to the school board and contesting that.

My work isn’t just something that sits there and it’s published and it’s ephemeral and it goes away. People are using these to wake people up. I was also incredibly moved when one of my readers told me, he sat down with a friend’s father who was getting ready to go get his booster shot. And he went through one of my pieces point by point. Within an hour, he red-pilled this father, his friend’s father, and his friend’s father talked his wife out of getting her booster shot. And they subsequently talked their nine grandchildren out of getting more shots. And so, I feel like even if you just reach one person that has a ripple effect, and just multiply that exponentially.

JC:

So, as an artist yourself, as an author, what do you think the role of the arts is in—I don’t want to say waking people up because that is, that comes from your own heart and soul when you’re ready—but maybe somebody who wouldn’t engage with a more kind of overt kind of activism will engage with a poem, with a film, with a cartoon. I’d just like to get your thoughts on that before we wrap up.

MAA:

Yes, absolutely. I wrote a fairy tale about maybe a year and a half ago or so called The Vapor, the Hot Hat, and the Witches’ Potion. And I have published it as a sort of children’s book format, but it’s both for children and adults alike.

I found when I published that, it basically was able to circumvent people’s natural defenses when it was presented in a fictional format, and they were able to see the principles of tyranny playing out and the illogical policies that were being inflicted by the “witches,” and that sort of thing. So I think it does bypass the Covidians’ innate defenses that—typically, they are bracing against, when you try to present them with logic, with facts, with reason, it actually causes them to dig their heels in deeper, which, you know, counterintuitive, but it’s kind of a cultlike mentality, and they become more and more defensive, and they cling to their religious beliefs, and they don’t want it counteracted, they don’t want that cognitive dissonance.

And you made a good point. Oh, sorry, go ahead.

JC:

No, no, no, carry on. Carry on. Carry on. I always like … When someone says I made a good point, I’m like, ‘I’m going to take this for more.”

MAA:

Well, you mentioned that people have to be ready to wake up. And I do a series called Dissident Dialogues, and right now, I’m doing one with Meredith Miller, who’s a holistic coach. And she basically said, “No matter what you try to do to wake someone up, it’s not going to happen if they aren’t ready.” She said they have to have their own epiphany, their own disruptive moment of truth. For example, if it’s an addict, it often takes hitting rock bottom. In this case, a lot of people around us are now seeing people they love dying, getting vaxx injuries, they themselves are getting vaxx injuries, and so, they are being confronted with a very harsh wake-up call. And Meredith said Substacks like mine are crucial for that awakening period because they’re just voracious for knowledge and truth and things that will validify their gut intuition that has been suppressed by the gaslighters these past three years.

JC:

And just on that, very finally, what would have happened if you’d written this poem three years ago, do you think? Do you think you would have got this reaction?

MAA:

Probably not. And it really wouldn’t have made sense without it because this was something I think unprecedented in history—a globally coordinated propaganda and fear campaign that was essentially unveiled simultaneously in nearly every Western country, certainly, and even some of the other countries. But we’ve never seen something of this scale before. We’ve never seen everybody repeating the exact same talking points. Aaron Kheriaty has a very great tweet called “Lockstep” where he shows all of the different talking heads saying the exact same thing. And you see they’re all just talking from the same script.

JC:

Absolutely. Well, I mean, from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for doing what you did and writing those incredibly eloquent words which Dr. Tess Lawrie delivered. And I think she’s done herself down a little bit by saying, “Oh, it’s not me. It’s all Margaret Anna.” It’s a collaboration. It’s a partnership. And that is the only way, that’s the way we will beat this thing, is by people coming together, working together, sharing that same energetic vibration and pushing that out into the world. So, thank you very, very much.

There’s a couple of questions that have come from within the team. Lots of people are saying, “Thank you. Thank you for your words. Thank you for what you wrote.”

Interesting question here: “When you wrote the final words, ‘Don’t let Them get away with it,’ what does that represent to you? What does that mean to you in terms of accountability and justice?” And that actually does come from Dr. Tess Lawrie. “She closed the poem so brilliantly.” What do you mean by that? What’s your, “Don’t let Them get away with it”? What does it mean?

MAA:

Right. Right. Obviously, in an ideal world, we would have trials for crimes against humanity. I know the implementation of that is much more complex. And this is something Reiner Fuellmich has been dealing with, with a lot of people calling for Nuremberg 2.0. Yes, in theory, that sounds wonderful. But you have to have judges who aren’t corrupted. You have to have—basically, the way they’re doing this is they’re attempting to find cases and judges that would potentially be favorable to prosecuting things like this. What’s happening, for example, in Florida, with the Grand Jury that’s being impaneled to investigate vaccine fraud and injuries.

That’s a great starting point. So if that can then be replicated in individual states, individual countries. I don’t know that it’s possible for it to happen on an international scale. Of course, that would be great. But I think it’s going to be, on a more realistic way, we’re looking at small case-by-case basis.

And in fact, it was the Florida Grand Jury panel that partly inspired me to write the poem because I was specifically trying to reach people who were involved in that because Mike and I were fearful that they were going to take the “Mistakes were made” framing as opposed to the culpability framing.

That’s kind of on the legal ground. But then we’re also—from the very beginning of my Substack, I’ve been talking about peaceful mass noncompliance. My second essay is COVID IS OVER! … If You Want It. I quote heavily from Étienne de La Boétie’s The Politics of Obedience, where he talks about voluntary servitude. And he basically says, “You don’t have to place your hands on the tyrant to topple him. All you have to do is withdraw your support.”

So, if on a worldwide basis, we have people all over the world withdrawing their support from the tyrants, from the philanthropaths, from the corrupt organizations; if we have people stopping taking the injection, even if it’s still there, if people don’t take it—which has happened with the bivalent vaccine, the uptake has been minuscule, people are waking up—then we have a way forward to save lives, and we can start focusing on how do we heal people from these vaxx injuries? How do we hold these corporations accountable? How do we hold these governments accountable? How do we prevent this from ever happening again?

JC:

Wow, I mean, all it remains for me to say is a huge heartfelt thank you on behalf of so many people that you represent with the words that you have written. We are wrapping up the end of your segment, but I’d like to thank you for your time, I’d like to thank you for your talent, and I’d like to thank you for all your hard work as well.

So, really, Margaret Anna Alice, you’ve become something of a legend in the last week or so, and very best of luck with your work. I mean, maybe this is the first poem in a long volume of many, which really does ripple across the world. So, thank you very, very much. I know I speak for the team on that one.

In five years, no one will remember natural immunity existed. They will call you an anti-vaxxer for whispering such a term while they stand in line for their 187th booster.

In five years, no one will remember where one person’s body ends and the body politic begins. They will call you selfish for thinking you have a right to decide how your body is handled and what transgresses the perimeters of your flesh.

In five years, no one will remember there was such a thing as privacy. They will call you a criminal for suggesting people should be permitted a quiet space away from the eyes of Big Mother, Big Tech, and your surveilling cohabitants.

In five years, no one will remember the concept of independence. They will call you antisocial for wishing to carve out your own destiny rather than relying on the beneficence of OneState.

In five years, no one will remember they have the right to say, “No.” They will call you an insurrectionist for questioning the commands spilling out of the telescreen.

In five years, no one will remember natural birth ever occurred. They will call you primitive for thinking embryos were once fertilized and grown inside the body rather than in a laboratory.

In five years, no one will remember parents once cared for their own children. They will call you anti-child if you wish to live with your progeny instead of surrendering your newborns to the State so you can resume your lives of lazy, submissive convenience.

In five years, no one will remember heart attacks, strokes, and blot clots were previously uncommon among children, teens, and young adults. They will call you anti-medicine for saying the young were predominantly healthy with rare exceptions.

In five years, no one will remember diversity of opinion once existed. They will call you a heretic for choosing to think your own thoughts instead of zealously professing the beliefs issued by OneState.

In five years, no one will remember what responsibility was. They will call you ungrateful if you want to unplug from the Metaverse and seize control of your own life and will.

In five years, no one will remember what freedom means. They will call you a conspiracy theorist for claiming people once had the ability to do what they liked, go where they liked, and think what they liked.

In five years, no one will remember what love was. They will call you intolerant for wishing to bond with a single beloved instead of offering your body to whosoever demands it.

In five years, no one will remember death once happened naturally. They will call you a science-denier if you express a longing to remain alive beyond the term allotted by OneState.

What do you think no one will remember in five years?

Despite all our efforts—many of which were sabotaged (e.g., I caught YouTube in the act of slashing the view counts for Lament)—NOT A SINGLE Florida senator has summoned the courage to sponsor Cody’s Law.

But we’re not giving up. Too many lives depend on it.

So now it’s time to turn it up to eleven.

To support our collective efforts to find a senator to sponsor Cody’s Law, I am now releasing a video of the speeches Cody and Heather delivered at the We Can’t Forget event last summer.

I previously shared Vera Sharav’s speech from the same event, later extracting her reading of Mistakes Were NOT Made for a standalone video.

The day before my beloved soulmate, husband, and creative partner, Michael, died instantly of a cardiac arrest on July 21, 2024, he had processed the footage for Cody’s and Heather’s speeches from a livestream.

On July 20, Michael asked me to choose one project for him to work on. I chose this video. Never would I have imagined it would be his final task. As the undertaker employees carried Michael’s body out on a stretcher the next morning, I remember glancing at his computer screen and seeing the exported file highlighted—only it was a phantom as I had already transferred it to a different folder. It later disappeared after the window was refreshed.

The video posed particular technical challenges due to the poor audio quality, background noise, and synchronization issues. As Michael was enhancing its clarity, he noticed the audio was out of sync with the video. This necessitated researching how to convert variable frame rate to constant frame rate. As usual, we turned another obstacle into a learning opportunity, and Michael remarked that it was good to have learned how to do that for future reference.

Only there wouldn’t be a future—for him, anyway.

I used Michael’s last exported composition, The Tension of Purpose, to score Cody’s reading of Lament, and now I am sharing his last exported video.

Michael’s last two projects are inextricably intertwined with the heroic, humanitarian, and heart-centered Hudsons. He would be deeply moved to know he contributed to helping the vaxx-injured by offering his talents to get Cody’s Law passed.

We Can’t Forget Event (6/28/24)

Cody’s Speech

In the novel The Three-Body Problem by author Cixin Liu, he harks back to real events of the Cultural Revolution in China 1967. People who spoke out against the death, destruction, and witch-hunting of Chinese communism were called monsters, demons, and reactionary academics.

We are standing in the crossfire of pharmatological corporatocracy against the American people.

The people I care for have been demonized, the doctors that stand up to the tyranny are called “fringe” and “reactionary.” Millions of your loved ones now lay dead at the hands of at an, at-best, indifferent system.

My whole world was destroyed in October of 2021. I was healthy and fit. I ran five or more miles a day five days a week. I had a pulmonary embolism that nearly took my life in October of 2021.

I was abandoned by all my friends and left for dead by a hospital hell-bent to discharge me with an active pulmonary embolism. It was only the start of my decline.

I am now terminally ill as my condition has worsened to a treatment-resistant state. My only chance of long-term survival has been gate-kept from me by the insurance and the cancer center’s office. They have demanded an unreasonable sum for even just an at-home infusion of Rituxan.

We need Cody’s Law so that others will not suffer the untimely demise and decay of their health and bodily functions from waiting months and years for treatment that they can’t afford to hold off on.

Too many have died already.

Heather’s Speech

Cody is my son. My name is Heather Hudson. A lot of times, people have told me I’m strong, but I have to tell you my voice is shaking, and my knees are shaking right now. And it’s not because I’m afraid of the pharmaceutical companies. I am afraid of what happens if these people who are injured don’t get help.

My son is fighting for his life. Doctors don’t know how he has survived this far. When he had his COVID-19 vaccine, he was left with a massive pulmonary embolism, heart damage, and he was unable to walk on his own again without a cane. It was suspected that he had a massive stroke at that time. We were told that we were crazy for thinking it was the vaccine.

If you go to Codyslaw.org and you look at some of the articles written about my son, you will see that he was healthy and that he was active before this. He also had negative COVID-19 tests all throughout all the hospitals.

Cody has had two strokes. He has stenosis through the left side of his brain. He has had a blood clot in his brain, and he has had other issues that have taken place in his brain from his blood-clotting disorder that he was left with after his vaccine.

His case is peer-reviewed and published. His doctor was a doctor on Capitol Hill who treated members of Congress and the Supreme Court.

Cody should not be alive, according to his doctors. He should not be able to speak, and he should not be able to stand or walk. Yes, he walks with our help, and he walks with the help of a cane, but he is not the only one. There are countless others like Cody.

The way that I found Cody’s doctor is because we read the stories in the Epoch Times of people who were being pulled out of the hospitals when they were dying of remdesivir poisoning and from hospital protocols. No other doctor would listen to us. I contacted that doctor, and I thought, “If he is fighting for them, he’ll fight for my son.” And you know what? He did.

He diagnosed my son; he started treating him, and we started documenting this. And it is peer-reviewed and published, like I said. What I found out while working with him is that every one of the vaccine-injured and every one of the hospital protocol–injured are left behind by the government.

When they take these declared emergency countermeasure drugs and they are injured and fighting for their lives—if they live through them—they are left behind. There is no medical care for them.

A cancer patient has something called Compassionate Allowances. When they’re sick and they’re fighting, they get medical treatment right away.

We have been pounding on the door for over a year for our government to come and help Cody. His medications are $17,000. Our family has gone bankrupt over all his medical care.

We are one of countless others.

My friends here—some of them are losing their houses, their cars. We have known others that have lost their homes and lost their lives.

Cody’s Law is asking our government to do the right thing and to provide medical care—expedited medical care—to those who were injured by declared emergency countermeasures.

You would have to be a monster not to want care for these people.

After publishing the poem, I contacted Heather to discuss the idea of Cody’s reading it for a video collaboration, and she replied:

“Yes, yes, and yes!! … Your idea is huge! You are a hero!

“It would be Cody’s absolute honor to read your work. Thank you for thinking of him.…

“I love you, my big hearted friend... know that. Cody may love you even more. ❤️

“I adore your work, our hearts are officially touched and mended by your efforts.”

Thus began an intensive planning and coordination process that involved my speaking with Epidemic of Fraud documentary filmmaker John Davidson about the possibility of his filming Cody during the We Can’t Forget event last June. When it turned out he would be unable to attend, Haley Heathman of the Liberty Alliance Network stepped in, and John offered to provide artistic guidance for lighting and sound.

Heather and her husband, Gary, had the haunting idea to do a black-on-black aesthetic inspired by a poignant photograph of their dear friends holding a photo of their son, who died from his COVID-19 vaccine.

We had intended to film two other vaxx-injured victims as well, and just when all the pieces had finally fallen into place for the venue, time slots, film equipment, backdrop, and participants, the two other readers got a flat tire on the way to the filming; Cody was too ill from the drive and had to lie down before his speech; and one had a medical emergency on stage during the speeches (thankfully, she was surrounded by doctors and nurses in the audience, and they rushed in to treat her).

When you’re collaborating with people who are fighting every moment to simply survive, you can’t expect things to go according to plan.

To my relief, Heather and Gary offered to film Cody’s reading themselves once they got home. What they captured I then turned into the above devastating video, scored by The Tension of Purpose, the last music composition my beloved Michael exported before his fatal cardiac arrest on July 21, 2024. We tested it as a score for the video on July 16, but Michael wanted to compose an original one because he felt Cody’s reading deserved something uniquely created for it like he’d done with Ode to a Whistleblower. He had already selected the key (I think F minor but am not positive; I know it was a minor key) and a title—“All That’s Left of Us.” He was just waiting for the description of Cody’s diagnoses from Heather so we would have the timing for the end.

Cody, a multi-stroke survivor, gets out of breath quickly, so they were planning to break up the filming into two parts. To our amazement, however, Cody rallied and delivered his reading in a single, uninterrupted, gut-wrenching take.

When a person is vaxx-injured, it not only results in tremendous physical torment but also psychological trauma for both the individual and all who love him.

Every vaxx injury is a medical conundrum demanding ingenuity and relentless dedication to solve, and when multiple injuries present simultaneously, that complexity multiples exponentially.

Fortunately, Heather’s dazzling analytical mind is matched only by the all-enveloping tenderness of her heart, and the Mama Bear in her leapt into research mode. She rapidly became one of the world’s foremost experts on the hazards of lipid nanoparticles. She has written peer-reviewed papers, and she wields her considerable knowledge base and limitless empathy to help others in the vaxx-injured and -bereaved community.

She is joined in this mission by Gary; Cody; and Cody’s older brother, Jacob, who was born with spina bifida and grew up to become a fearless and resilient daredevil capable of accomplishing physical endeavors most able-bodied individuals can only dream of.

They told us it was effective.

They told us everyone was doing it.

They told us not getting it was selfish.

They told us it was the only way

   we could study, work, shop, live.

We listened to them.

Why would they lie to us?

We trusted them.

Why would they hurt us?

So we got it.

And every day since

   that irrevocable,

   life-shattering decision

   has been unrelenting

   agony and exhaustion,

Our lives are now a continuum

   of questioning,

Cody’s Lament

A Description of Cody’s Diagnoses by His Mom, Heather Hudson of A Mother’s Anthem

Cody had his second and final Pfizer shot in the last week of July 2021. Within a week, a significant sign of reaction started with severe skin rashes. Within a month, he had a suspected deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in his right leg. A few weeks later, he was hospitalized with a large pulmonary embolism, leaky heart valves, left ventricular hypertrophy, and marked right-side weakness we were later told was a stroke.

Cody returned to the hospital with a new lung infarction and a partially collapsed lung within two days of his release. He returned over and over with new blood clotting and pulmonary embolism events in 2022, until he began treatment for the antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) he was left with after his shots.

Then his system became resistant to treatment, and Cody went on to suffer several life-threatening brain injuries; four infarct or ischemic strokes; a transverse sinus vein blood clot of the brain and severe stenosis of the veins of the left side of the brain over three regions; left parietal encephalomalacia; and blood clotting in all four limbs that are diagnosed and documented as resulting from the new onset APS post-shots.

Formerly physically in excellent health and running twenty-five miles a week at the gym, Cody was twenty-one when he went into the hospital, where he turned twenty-two. Cody has since been unable to walk without assistance.

Out of the $4.64 trillion spent on the “COVID-19 response,” ZERO was spent on immediate and timely medical care for the COVID-19 vaccine–injured. Not one cent!

The proposed Cody’s Law would be the first and only law in the country to provide medical care for the vaccine-injured. But Cody’s Law can’t survive without your voice. We need your support now!

At the age of twenty-one, after his COVID-19 vaccines, Cody was left with a debilitating and life-threatening blood-clotting disorder. Now unable to walk on his own, Cody is struggling to survive after multiple blood-clotting brain injuries, strokes, pulmonary embolism events, heart damage, and neurological disorders. But Cody is not the only one!

He and countless others are fighting for their lives, abandoned by the government and marginalized by society. COVID-19 vaccine injuries were not reported to public health agencies by most medical professionals.

These medical injuries were acknowledged in the October 2024 House Select Subcommittee Report on Coronavirus and fourteen US Attorney generals in their January 2025 letter to HHS investigating the mistreatment of the vaccine-injured.

We especially ask that you send it to Florida senators and Governor DeSantis with a plea to support Cody’s Law so the vaccine-injured can get lifesaving medical care.

This is not a Florida, United States, or congressional issue—this is a global humanitarian issue.

Cody’s Law can be replicated in any state or country.

But we only have until February 28, 2025, to find a Florida senator to sponsor it.

February 28 is the deadline for all bill-filing to be completed in the Florida legislature. Cody’s Law has been filed by House representatives and is in drafting by the Senate, but Florida requires a senator to cosponsor a bill for it to advance to the legislative floor.

Every existing vaccine “compensation” program meant to help them takes years for the claims to process, and there is no guarantee of success, nor they do provide medical care to people who are disabled or who have lost their jobs and medical insurance.

Just like cancer patients need expedited care right away to help them with the best possible outcomes, the same is needed for severely vaccine-injured citizens.

Please write Florida senators and ask them to cosponsor Cody’s Law HB 149-2025.

Please write Governor DeSantis and ask him to pass Cody’s Law.

Once we get the law passed and physicians can make referrals and document vaccine injuries freely, the states can investigate and seek to have the vaccine manufacturers pay for these injury claims.

How Propaganda & Censorship Changed Our World

MN:

Now we move on to our final contributor that’s joined us today, Margaret Anna Alice, writer, blogger. She wrote Chapter 31 in the book titled A Primer for the Propagandized. Margaret, thank you for joining us. And just to get the ball rolling, tell us about this primer for propaganda that you identified and that you you put together? What does it consist of? What did you see in the last three to four years that led you to put this together into a chapter?

MAA:

So the irony is this chapter is actually my first Substack article, and it emerged from censorship. I wrote it initially as a comment in response to a Nextdoor.com post that said, “These masks are not about health, they’re all about control.” And having spent the past year or so since the beginning of the COVID psyop attempting to engage with people in my community through platforms like Nextdoor, I was very relieved to see someone speaking some degree of truth and trying to expose what was going on. That inspired me to write this comment that was basically verbatim what appeared as my chapter and my first Substack essay.

But before I got a chance to post the comment, Nextdoor had deleted that post, and that was increasingly becoming my experience. Every time I tried to post a comment where I was exposing the propaganda, where I was presenting alternative sources—legitimate, credible scientists and doctors who were exposing how many lies were going on and were being propagated through the narrative—my comments or posts would just get disappeared by the censorship fairies. And so, once that happened with this particular comment, I just, on a whim, had been thinking about starting a Substack, and after I read it to my husband, he said, “You should submit that to OffGuardian.”

So that gave me the impetus to launch my Substack. I just did it in an afternoon, not even really expecting that much to come of it. But then OffGuardian did pick up my article a few weeks later, and that started the snowballing of my audience. And so the blessing of the censorship is that it caused me to find another platform where I was able to speak freely, and more importantly, connect with all of these absolutely brilliant and amazing, intelligent voices of dissidents—doctors, scientists, writers, journalists, artists from all over the world—and that has just been such a profound experience, and it has led to amazing collaborations.

Many of you, if you don’t know me, you probably do know my poem Mistakes Were NOT Made because that went viral when I published it one year ago yesterday, January 1, 2023. And a few months later, I released a video of Dr. Tess Lawrie reading my poem that absolutely blew up the world in a way. And yesterday, in honor of the one-year anniversary of my poem, I published a new video of Dr. Mike Yeadon reading the poem. And he brings this simmering rage to it that complements Tess Lawrie’s very poignant reading that she did last March. And so, I encourage everyone to go to MargaretAnnaAlice.com and watch both videos, but Mike’s is the one you probably haven’t seen yet since it was just published yesterday.

And please do share because Mike especially is someone who has been censored even from within the so-called freedom community. He gave three parliamentary testimonies to Germany, Croatia, and the UK, and those testimonies were censored. The AfD party of Germany was told that if they included Mike Yeadon’s testimony in the presentation on their YouTube channel their YouTube channel would be deleted. This is what Mike was told, and I’m just conveying what was told to me. But they succumbed to Big Tech pressure, unfortunately. I’m so honored to be able to have collaborated with Mike, who’s one of my dearest friends, and help him get the word out, and together we are trying to tell the story that Mistakes Were NOT Made. You do not have a globally coordinated propaganda campaign that just happens by accident.

MN:

And not only does it not happen by accident, Margaret, but I remember when we were speaking for The Defender story that ran a few weeks ago, you identified certain psychological techniques, certain propaganda techniques that you saw were really being widely used during the past three to four years, and I thought that that was this fascinating the way you described it. So what were some of these techniques that you highlighted? Because I think the audience will find them fascinating as well.

MAA:

First of all, I would say the definitive book on this topic is Laura Dodsworth’s A State of Fear, which I recommend everyone read. It documents the information they obtained through things like FOIA requests basically how the UK government collaborated with, and even had on staff, the Behavioural Insights Team, which is all about nudging. They were called the nudge unit, and they use behavioral psychological techniques in order to engineer public opinion.

This goes back to Edward Bernays’s Propaganda. He talks about public opinion molding. And, of course, fear is the most crucial aspect of that strategy. But other techniques are used, and one of those things is creating pseudo-events, and Daniel Boorstin talks about this in his book The Image. Essentially, news, the advent of news, caused reporters and people to have to create these events to have something to write about. It doesn’t reflect reality. That is how they control our perception of reality.

So we have these Bernaysian techniques being used where they have a particular objective, the example being Bernays staging the Torches of Freedom event I believe in 1929, where the goal was—and he was on hire with tobacco companies basically—to get women to become a new customer for cigarettes. And so they had these very strong, flapper-type of women who were representative of women’s lib marching in the Easter Day parade. They had the press there to cover it, and so this overcame the reluctance of women to smoke because they considered it unladylike. But now it was associated with freedom.

So you have public relations experts determining what events need to happen or be staged—basically stagecraft to persuade the public to adopt a particular point of view.

One book—I’m actually still reading this, but I think this is such an important book—it’s called One Idea to Rule Them All by Michelle Stiles. And she is exposing how front groups and public relations campaigns or agencies are used to orchestrate these kind of events to engineer public opinion.

MN:

Well, Margaret, thank you so much for that rundown. It’s just amazing the types of techniques that are used, and there’s entire bodies of science, if you can call it science, underlying each of these techniques, and they’ve been carefully studied in terms of the way that they’re utilized and implemented by The Powers That Be. And I thought you summed it up really well. So Margaret, thank you so much.

“The person who reported me worked for the Wellcome Trust and was a British doctor or a professor here employed by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.

“There were a lot of letters written at the time saying that it was people outside of Zimbabwe that were targeting me, and, in fact, our government protected me in terms of not ending up in jail.…

“Wherever this is being driven from is above governments. It’s people who fund governments. And I think that the doctors, many of them, were actually completely captured. I think doctors thought that they were doing the right thing. The doctor-patient relationship was used to get the public to trust that these things were safe and that they worked. And it was a massive machine.

“What we’re up against is too powerful. And, I honestly—I’m such a solutions-based person, I’ll sit and think about solutions until I go purple. And I’ve been left at the end of this summit, to be honest, with the feeling of it’s been wonderful to connect with people that I only connected with on Zoom before, but it’s also the reality that we’re living in some very difficult-to-explain times, and I don’t know what to do about it. I actually don’t.…

“I don’t know where I’ll be in five years’ time. I was thinking that last night. I really don’t know what is going to happen. I think a lot of doctors are going to be replaced by AI because they follow algorithms. I think a lot of patients have lost trust in the medical profession and are looking for alternatives. But it just seems to be a lot of chaos out there.”

Ignorance of history and reliance on propaganda ensured that few people recognize foreboding similarities between today’s public policies and directives and the genocidal Nazi policies.

Today’s predators have unleashed injectable bioweapons designed to override our protective immune system. They are also spraying poisonous substances and nanoparticles, including metals, in our sky, and they have installed surveillance technology to control us remotely.

Many of you may have read my presentation notes in A Mostly Peaceful Depopulation, but you probably haven’t seen the video (transcript included below courtesy of a reader who generously volunteered to tidy up the AI transcript).

On June 24, 2022, I published my Anatomy of a Philanthropath series in which I coined “philanthropath.”

The next day, my fearless friend Leslie Manookian—founder of the Health Freedom Defense Fund (which just won a major legal victory against vaccine mandates, incidentally)—emailed me this note:

“I told Reiner about you and your work on propaganda and manipulation and recommended he have you on the Corona Investigative Committee.

“I’m writing now to connect you two and will leave it to you to take it from here.

“PS Reiner gets zillions of emails so don’t stress if he doesn’t reply right away!”

I was moved by Leslie’s out-of-the-blue recommendation but assumed I wouldn’t hear back for a while or at all given the lengthy queue the Ausschuss surely has.

I was wrong. Three days later, I heard from Corvin Rabenstein, whom Leslie described as “the man who makes the Ausschuss run!” Corvin—who has since become a friend and now works with Dr. Michael Nehls, author of the riveting The Indoctrinated Brain—invited me to present on the morning of July 1, less than three days away, writing:

“I really like the phrase ‘A Mostly Peaceful Depopulation’, by the way. It gets to the heart of this dystopian situation and points to the role of the media in selling us obvious lies as incontrovertible truths these days.”

On Wednesday, I started drafting my Retrospective in Whys, with each why flowing fluidly into the next for hours upon hours without interruption. I finally collapsed, got four hours of sleep, and then resumed my brain dump reflecting on the COVID tyranny to date.

Nearly 6,300 words later, I was ready to run it by my husband. I printed up a stack of pages and started reading.

He interrupted me, “You’re not going to just read from that, are you?”

I realized he was right. Not only would it take hours to get through everything I had written, but it would be far less engaging than just talking. I would have to wing it.

So that’s what I did. I had my notes printed up but barely glanced at them, mainly flipping through to find particular quotes.

Oh, and I’d only gotten two-and-a-half hours of sleep before my international debut, totaling six-and-a-half hours over two days.

Thank goodness for adrenaline, caffeine, and the elation of connecting with kindreds whose interviews with experts had informed my own research since 2020, as I noted in my first Recommendations Roundup.

I am grateful I had the opportunity to meet with Reiner Fuellmich, Viviane Fischer, and Wolfgang Wodarg while the committee was still intact—even though Viviane appeared so perturbed (worse than her usual discourteousness, passing notes and whispering while the guests are speaking), a commenter joked that she must be mad at me because of my hat 😹

Reiner, on the other hand, was an absolute gentleman and wholly engaged in the conversation. Wolfgang, too, was paying close attention and made his own meaningful contributions.

I couldn’t help but think of Reiner after celebrating the joyous liberation of Julian Assange following fourteen years of political persecution for the crime of practicing journalism by exposing regime crimes.

Assange is free at last, but Reiner remains a political prisoner in what appears to be a stitched-up case to discredit a truth-teller and intimidate fellow dissidents. As Celia Farber writes, “Now Let’s Imagine Reiner Fuellmich Also Set Free, Soon.”

In his June 29 update, Reiner rejoices in the release of Assange and reminds us “procedural rules are frequently misused in order to cover up the truth.”

Hi, Margaret. We were connected with the help of Leslie, right? Leslie Manookian.

MAA:

Yes, exactly.

RF:

Excellent. So let me give our viewers a brief introduction. You’re a writer and blogger on Substack at Through the Looking Glass examining media narratives, propaganda, mass control, politics, psychology, history, philosophy, and health with a focus on COVID to unmask totalitarianism. You’re also the author of books and articles. You’re going to give us a synopsis of the past two years formulated as why questions, the answers to which can only be 1) Profit, 2) Power, and 3) Democide; the definition and nature of a philanthropath like Bill Gates, a socio/psychopath masquerading as a philanthropist; the reality of the unfolding democide and progression to one-world dictatorship; evidence documenting the depopulation agenda dating back to the Club of Rome, 1971, Predicament of Mankind Project in 1974, Kissinger report, and up through the present-day prophecies of Yuval Noah Harari, a historian giving us prophecies. Those are pretty strong words. I can’t wait to hear what you have to tell us.

MAA:

First of all, thank you so much for inviting me. It is an absolute honor and joy to work with all of you. Reiner, I have such great gratitude for the work that you and Viviane have both been doing.

I wanted to say specifically there was a video you presented to the a London protest where you were talking, you were sharing that story of the German doctor who was waiting at the ATM, and there was an elderly woman. She was fearful because he wasn’t wearing a mask, and he came up and removed her mask gently and hugged her, and she said she hadn’t been hugged for a year.

That was so touching to me, and I included that in my Letter to a Covidian, one of the articles at my Substack, and it really resonates with people.

I think it captures so well the dehumanization that has occurred over the past two years and all of these measures that have been intentionally instituted to disconnect us.

So the work you guys have been doing—basically, what was strange is what you started doing in July 2020 is what I would have expected any government or public health agency to do. Why weren’t they interviewing scientists and physicians and experts and making these voices public in a transparent, open way? That was one of the first signs to me that something was very different about this entire process. And so for me, very early on, basically from the beginning like February 2020, I could tell this was unfolding in a way that was unlike any past event like this.…

One of the questions I asked is, Why are they stoking fear? Why are they whipping up all of this panic? If this were a genuine crisis, like has occurred in the past, a responsible government would be trying to calm the people down.… This is a phenomenon that essentially only has a fatality rate of 99.9% for the majority of the populace. The only people who tend to be affected—

RF:

Survival rate.

MAA:

Survival rate, right, right, sorry! (laughter)

The only people who tend to die from it are people who are likely to die, anyway—so the very elderly, the very ill people with a lot of comorbidities. So that again was a very clear sign that this was a manufactured crisis.

Other questions I started asking—and I’ve grouped these into different categories. The first one is under Totalitarianism. So again, why are they instituting these severe measures like lockdowns and border closures and things that the WHO in their [2009] recommendations for flu and respiratory illnesses said you should not institute these kind of protocols in the case of a pandemic because they are more harmful and they are ineffective? Masking even, they said did not help, did not prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses and flus, and so everything they were doing was contrary to previous conventional health recommendations.

Not only was it contrary to what they would normally recommend in a case like this, they were actually harmful, so they were causing stress, which takes a huge toll on the immune system. They were causing all this fear and division and hatred and rage. They were whipping people up into this hate against each other, and it was basically dividing the populace into those who complied and those who didn’t comply. 

So we had this situation where the propagandists were all perpetrating the exact same narrative, all speaking in unison. And everybody started repeating these mottos and social distancing. Never heard that term before, but everybody’s parroting these same terms—“New Normal” and this Orwellian gem “together apart.” So it’s just very double-think.

These, to me, were all the hallmarks of what occurs when a society is progressing to totalitarianism. And it just so happened that I have been, for basically all my life, I’ve been reading across a wide variety of disciplines. I’ve always been very interested in health and wellness, but also totalitarianism, genocide, all of these different aspects, propaganda, that were converging in this one event, and to me it was very clear that this was artificial, that it was created for an end goal.

I don’t know if you guys have read any Edward Bernays’s books like his 1928 work Propaganda. He is the nephew of Freud. And he was using psychology to craft the art of public relations. And one of the things—

RF:

Mattias Desmet refers to him quite frequently.

MAA:

Yes! And [Bernays] spells it all out in his book Propaganda. At a certain point, I might read a quote from him if we have time, but it’s totally unabashed, and the way it works is you start with your end goal: What do you want to bring the people to a belief in, an action? It’s basically social engineering. 

For example, when they wanted to get women to start smoking cigarettes so the cigarette companies could have a wider consumer base, Bernays orchestrated a women’s liberation parade on Easter Day [1929]. He had these glamorous women smoking these “torches for freedom.” And it was then associated with the women’s liberation movement, the suffragettes, and that essentially led to women starting to smoke and adopt them.…

In public relations, what you do is you start with the end goals and then you determine what events you need to stage in order to get those end goals. So in the example of what is happening right now, as you said in your introduction, if you look at the end goals of 1) We want to have enormous profits. We want to have the largest mass transfer of wealth from the lower and middle classes to the upper middle classes, the elite, the super-wealthy, the corporations, the government. Okay, check.

2) We want to give the people an excuse or motivate them to be accepting of more authoritarian measures, to [make] people in democracies actually willing to sacrifice their privacy, their liberties, all of these things we supposedly cherish in these countries. If it’s in the name of safety, if it’s in the name of public health, if it’s in the name of the public greater good, you can get them to relinquish those natural rights to the state. And so they, once again, with the Corona crisis, they were able to get people in that state of panic and fear and wanting to cling to something of safety.…

Mattias Desmet talks about this social bonding that occurs. So you have the people who are feeling all lonely and isolated and full of rage and fear. This gives them a focus of attention to cling to and bond over, and those who are outside the group who are not going along with the narrative become the enemy.

And, of course, as you see, in genocidal regimes, they always define an enemy that the inner group can bond over hating. In 1984, you have Goldstein, and he is the object and focus of their hatred, and it bonds them more tightly together.

That is another reason it is so difficult to penetrate this cultlike programming of the Covidians.… Mattias Desmet has talked a lot about this, so I don’t want to rehash all of that, but these were the kind of questions that were coming up.…

Why are all these things occurring that have never occurred—at least in America—in the past? These are the types of patterns that we see in Nazi Germany, Stalinist Russia, Maoist China, and even contemporary China, really. So these were all very clear signs that something was amiss and something was being intentionally orchestrated.

Then the third item you mentioned earlier is democide. And so I’m going to get to that in a little bit in terms of the signs that I was seeing that were making me very suspicious that that was occurring and intentionally so.

Other things, like in terms of the health policies, I was asking is, Why are we being commanded to “Trust the Science”? This appeal to authority—that’s not how science works. [Science] is a process. It’s about inquiries, about bringing in all these different voices, testing hypotheses, listening to other voices. Well, the very opposite of that was occurring, and this is essentially scientism—which, I’m not sure if you’re familiar with this, but in Hannah Arendt’s Origins of Totalitarianism, she references a 1948 article called The Origins of Scientism—and that is science becomes the religion, and whoever is defining the “science” is the god, the church, the priesthood, and anyone who questions that is considered a heretic. 

Once again, this was clearly all about religion, not actual real science. And so any of the scientific voices that could see through the lies were being silenced and suppressed and censored. Even I, for example, I was trying to reach out to people in my community during 2020, and I was on things like Nextdoor. Anytime I would even mention your name, Reiner, or Mike Yeadon, or David Martin, my comment would immediately get deleted.…

This is a different, entirely different era, something very clearly being very controlled through Big Tech, Big Media, and they are corralling people into this single narrative, and anything that deviates from that you’re not even allowed to look at. Not allowed to listen to. Not allowed to think about.

So the people who were questioning the narrative had to go make an extra effort to seek out that truth and that information, and that is one reason that I appreciated your interviews so much. I was finally hearing these voices of sanity who were explaining all of these things that I knew were absolute lies, and then also offering the contrary, scientific, actual information about these phenomena. And Planet Lockdown was another wonderful source. OvalMedia has been fantastic, and I know you’ve worked with them a lot, and so I was really grateful for that.

In my own journey, I ended up instead starting a Substack last year, and that connected with me with all of these other truth-seekers. And that was a profound experience. Not to be like a Substack ad, but I feel like all of these independent critical thinkers were gathering together in this place. And there was sort of a reformation going on in the world of science. It was like the equivalent to the Protestant Reformation in the church. So instead of having to go through the media and these spokespersons to get the “science” and what they deem to be the truth, I was able to reach out directly to real scientists—Malone, and Jessica Rose, and Meryl Nass, and all these people I’ve been so grateful to be connected with, and Mike Yeadon, who’s become a dear friend.

I just feel like that whole process has been an unexpected blessing that’s occurred because the tyrants have clamped down so hard, it’s caused this ricochet effect that all of us are coming together and seeking out and finding the truth and sharing this knowledge in this amazing new way. I think that boomerang is really going to come back and haunt them.

RF:

Cool term, we’re going to we’re going to use this, “ricochet effect,” great. Great.

MAA:

Yeah, yeah. So some of the other whys I’ve I had is, Why are they not promoting early treatment protocols? You know normally in a situation like this, one of the first things they would do is seek out existing drugs, repurpose them, see what is successful. Now of course, there were physicians doing this, and they were being silenced. And they were being suppressed. And they had amazing results. They saved tens of thousands, if not more people through these early treatment protocols, as you know, ivermectin, the FLCCC protocols. All of those.… And I’m so glad you spoke with Tess Lawrie, because I feel like her example of that Zoom call between her and Andrew Hill is the perfect demonstration of exactly how science has been corrupted. You see Andrew Hill had altered his own conclusion to conform to the outcomes that Unitaid, which is a Bill and Melinda Gates vehicle, demanded, and Unitaid had just given a $40-million grant to his university, the University of Liverpool.

So you see how the manipulation works, and that’s how “The $cience™” with a dollar sign and a trademark works. As opposed to the real science that Tess Lawrie represents and her discovery that ivermectin could save potentially 80 percent of the patients who are dying from COVID or the symptoms of COVID.

That, I feel, encapsulates the corruption of science that has occurred and why it is so necessary to create alternative parallels such as the World Council for Health like Tess has done to have organizations and people of integrity who are uncorrupted by conflicts of interest. So that was the early treatment protocol story.

And then the other thing I was asking about is, okay, so we have this brand-new technology, mRNA technology—never has it been deployed on human beings before. It hasn’t even gone through long-term clinical trials. But let’s suddenly require the entire world to get injected with this novel gene therapy without having run tests. And doing Operation Warp Speed, which essentially means skipping all of the safety trials.

This made absolutely no sense to me, and especially to do it for what is essentially, you know, a flu-like experience that was not causing severe levels of death and illness—which ties into another thing that was happening, which is all of these terms were getting redefined.

For example, during the swine flu epidemic, the term “pandemic” was redefined. They removed that it has high levels of mass death and illness. So essentially that set things up so the WHO could declare an emergency or pandemic anytime they wanted really, on a whim, essentially.

That gives them the ability to keep us in a permanent state of emergency and allow for all of these emergency powers to be instituted essentially permanently. As you know, they’re attempting to expand that through the pandemic accord that is being proposed by the WHO.

These were some of the whys I was asking, and I have a few thousand more. I’m not going to go through them all, but I will publish my notes as a blog post at my website if anybody wants to read through them and have more details.

So then we start having in 2021 mass casualty events, and we started seeing people who are young, healthy, athletic, children suddenly dropping dead. All you simply have to do is look at the OpenVAERS website, anybody can do it, you just take five minutes, and you can see the fatality rates and adverse reactions just shooting up in 2021. And you have these life insurance companies having reports of these massive increases in mortality for millennials and for people who are young and healthy.

And the only thing that has changed from 2020—which was supposedly such a catastrophic year because of COVID—to 2021 is the introduction of a global mass injection campaign of an experimental drug that, Pfizer is still in clinical trials until March 2023.

People don’t even know they are experimental subjects. And, of course, they’re not being given informed consent. You know all the things that are being violated.… Like you, I’ve just been pulling thousands of different puzzle pieces together. And the picture that very clearly forms is that these are all intentionally being orchestrated to generate—

RF:

That’s the point.

MAA:

What’s that?

RF:

That’s a crucial point.

MAA:

Exactly.

RF:

Because if you just look, you know you spoke about the—I wouldn’t even call them alternative methods of treatment. I call them real methods of treatment. If you look at that and if you look at how in Canada, for example, they threaten doctors who would use ivermectin, that they would take away their licenses.

MAA:

Exactly. And Meryl Nass, they took it away from her.

RF:

Yeah, she’ll be reinstated after this is.

MAA:

Oh, absolutely. All of the doctors who demonstrated integrity and adhered to the Hippocratic Oath and spoke out and spoke the truth are absolute heroes. Like in any totalitarian regime, they are suffering because of their bravery, but ultimately, they will be recognized for the heroes they truly are.

RF:

I think so, too.

MAA:

Now, I know you wanted me to talk about the depopulation agenda.

RF:

Yeah, what is this “democide”? I’ve never heard this word before.

MAA:

You haven’t heard “democide”? Okay, so “genocide” is the targeting of a specific ethnic group for termination. “Democide” is essentially targeting people.

RF:

Everyone, the whole populace.

MAA:

Exactly, exactly. So “demos”—“people.”

This is not targeting a specific ethnicity, so that’s why it’s incorrect to call it a genocide. It is indiscriminately targeting the entire human population. Anyone who has been duped into taking these experimental injections—the ones who have either died immediately or whose immune systems are being progressively decimated with each subsequent shot—they are suffering cases of COVID and other illnesses at significantly higher rates than the uninjected.

I don’t remember the specific figure, but Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has spoken about how the most profitable thing for the pharmaceutical-medical complex are the vaxx-injured because they provide a source of recurring revenue, especially for the people with the COVID injection specifically because it causes—as the Pfizer clinical trial data from the first ninety days showed—I believe it was 1,291 side effects that they documented, and so that is a treasure trove of profit for the Big Pharma and Big Medical Complex.

These are things that are being very intentionally done for profit, to reduce the population, and to institute authoritarian controls.

I mentioned earlier that I was going to read an Edward Bernays quote, and I just came across it, so here it is:

“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.”

RF:

Well, it’s an instruction for psychological terrorism.

MAA:

Exactly, exactly. And that actually segues beautifully to one of the assets that I asked Corvin to provide, which is, are you familiar with Biderman’s Chart of Coercion?

RF:

Yes, yes.

MAA:

OK, so Corvin, could you go ahead and pull that up just so people can see that?

VF:

We’ve discussed this actually already in detail. I think we should not quite look at the Biderman Chart again.

MAA:

Okay, great. I’ll go ahead and skip over that then. So now let’s go ahead and jump directly—

RF:

Tell us about—I find this fascinating, “philanthropath,” socio/psychopaths masquerading [as philanthropists]. That’s interesting. I mean, pretty much everyone gets the idea, but please tell us about that.

MAA:

Yes, I just published this three-part series of articles called Anatomy of a Philanthropath: Dreams of Democide & Dictatorship.

I coined the term “philanthropath,” which I had originally defined as “a socio/psychopath masquerading as a philanthropist,” but on reflection, I’ve actually decided to change that to “psychopath” because a psychopath pretends to care, whereas a sociopath doesn’t bother to hide that they don’t care. So I feel it’s more appropriate just to say a psychopath. They have the semblance of an ordinary life, participating in society, but they are simply masking the fact that they don’t have any compassion for other human beings.…

I know you guys understand the importance of framing. So my goal is to inject that term “philanthropath” into the public consciousness so anytime anybody sees someone like Bill Gates, George Soros, Klaus Schwab, the first thing they think of is “philanthropath.” And I just want people to start using that as much as they possibly can because the propagandists use repetition and viralization to propagate their lies, so we need to counteract that with framing that propagates the truth. And so, that essentially lays bare the sinister intentions of people like Bill Gates, who are masquerading as philanthropists.

So now I’m going to get into, there is this long history of—

RF:

It’s important because, people think, “Ohh, this has just come up.” No it hasn’t.

MAA:

Right, exactly. And so, in this series of articles, I really only went back to the 1970s, but I’m sure it goes way back beyond that, and I can only do so much at a time. And I’m just going down all these different rabbit-holes. But there has been, dating back to the Malthusian theory that essentially population is increasing exponentially, whereas resources are increasing linearly, so there was a concern that overpopulation was a serious problem that was going to need to be addressed through the reduction of the population.

Now, as it turns out, those models were as fake as the models that were used to project COVID fatality rates and use that as an excuse to institute these totalitarian measures. And so James Corbett—I include a video by James Corbett in my first article in this series that debunks the Malthusian overpopulation theory and shows that it is not the threat that these philanthropaths believe it to be or want us to believe it to be.

Even Pew Research did a study that determined that population was actually going to start declining by around 2100. So it is not this continually, exponentially expanding thing—especially as birth rates drop, fertility rates drop, and deaths [occur]. The replacement rate is not matching the number of deaths.

You probably have heard this quote by Prince Philip, but he famously said, “In the event that I am reincarnated, I would like to return as a deadly virus to contribute something to solving overpopulation.”

That shows you the mentality of the people who are behind what we are experiencing right now. Going back to the 1970s, it was actually in 1968, that the Club of Rome was founded by a group of like thirty different scientists and educators, and they call themselves an “invisible university,” I think was the term. They’re essentially a think tank, and they worked on the project the Predicament of Mankind. Dennis Lynn Meadows was one of the primary authors, and he wrote a book a few years later in 1974 titled The Limits to Growth that outlined these theories as well. Essentially, they see the human population as a threat to the planet and sustainability, and so, he very clearly stated that the population has to be reduced, and this is where I’ll go ahead and play a video of Dennis Lynn Meadows talking in a 2017 interview about these concerns.

“Globally, we are so far above the population and consumption levels which can be supported by this planet that I know in one way or another it’s gonna come back down.… I hope that it can occur in a civil way, and I mean ‘civil’ in a special way. Peaceful. Peace doesn’t mean that everybody’s happy, but it means that conflict isn’t solved through violence, through force but rather in other ways, and so, that’s what I hope for, that we can, I mean—the planet can support something like a billion people, maybe two billion, depending on how much liberty and how much material consumption you want to have. If you want more liberty and more consumption, you have to have fewer people.

“Conversely, you can have more people … we could even have eight or nine billion probably if we have a very strong dictatorship which is smart. Unfortunately, you never have smart dictatorships. They’re always stupid. But if you had a smart dictatorship and a low standard of living, you could have them. But we want to have freedom, and we want to have a high standard, so we’re going to have a billion people. And we’re now at seven, so we have to get back down. I hope that this can be slow, relatively slow, and that it can be done in a way which is relatively equal so that people share the experience and you don’t have a few rich trying to force everybody else to deal with it. So those are my hopes.”

RF:

Well, it’s obvious that the man first of all doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about. And secondly, he’s not hoping for a peaceful resolution. He’s hoping to get away with his monstrous ideas, but he won’t. 

MAA:

Right, exactly.

RF:

Is he still alive?

MAA:

Yes, yes.

RF:

Okay. 

WW:

We know that the population starts having less children when they are all well. We know that all the populations that are well that have enough to live and have houses and have food that they think about children and they have one or two in Europe, the parents, they have not even enough to keep the same level. So it’s automatically when the people are living well that they got less children. Nobody has to be killed. Nobody has to die.

RF:

You’ve had a decrease in population growth for years now.

WW:

Yes. And this, and you, we were always thinking that if we have good living conditions for many people in this world, then automatically, this will be the normal demographic development that the people get less children and so that the population dims a little bit. So there is a self-regulation, but there’s no one who should ever decide who has to live and who not. And this is what this is, what they trying to do. They know better. They think they know better, and they kill others with what they do.

MAA:

Exactly. Yes, you stated it perfectly, Wolfgang, and you know they don’t just want us to eat bugs, they see us as bugs, and they feel they have the right to exterminate the excess bugs because they are saving the planet by doing so. And this warped philanthropathic mentality—

WW:

It’s a horrible thing because those people, who were exploiting this world, who were going to Africa, keeping the people poor, exploiting all this, all the riches that there are in these countries, they have so much, they are so rich normally. But it was all taken away, and it was all used for some people to get richer and richer and more power and more power. It was exploited, and those people know exactly, those people, those rich people who exploited, they now tell the others, “No, you should not live. You should. You’re too much.” It’s horrible. It’s brutal.

MAA:

Absolutely conscienceless. So yeah, that’s Dennis Lynn Meadows. That’s kind of the philosophy behind the Club of Rome, which still exists, which is still promoting these philosophies. Of course, they have a pretty picture of themselves that they present to the public, but that is the thinking that’s presented in their Predicament of Mankind report and the Limits to Growth book.

They have appointed themselves as gods of the planet with the power to determine who is to live and who is to die. Of course, Dennis Lynn Meadows hopes this will will happen in a mostly peaceful way.

What more peaceful way than to get people to volunteer for their own suicide unsuspectingly by being terrorized? To be so afraid of COVID that they will leap to the first savior that has been presented to them, which is the injection, and that is why it was so necessary to discredit early treatment protocols. Also because that was the only way they could get the emergency use authorization that guaranteed them protection from liability.

They had to essentially create this one single solution. This is our way out of the imprisonment and torture that they created. And they say, okay, this is our solution. Then they keep moving the goal posts because, oh gee, breakthrough infections! Oh gee, people who got injected are actually getting COVID more often and more severely and are being hospitalized more and are dying at astronomical rates. Whoops! Now we have to invent SADS, Sudden Adult Death Syndrome because there’s only so long you can go before people are noticing. Oh, gee, all these young, healthy people are dying right after or not long after getting injected.

But, as Mattias Desmet points out, when people are in this state of mass hypnosis, they will go along with all of the most ridiculous lies. He often uses the example, if you put a patient under hypnosis, you can cut into them, have surgery, they won’t even notice. And so that is essentially what is occurring right now.

I’m going to go into some more of these democidal types of philosophers and the people who influence the philanthropaths. And so another person who I didn’t cover in my Anatomy of a Philanthropath series because I had already covered him in an earlier piece called Letter to a Holocaust Denier, and his name was Jacques Attali.

RF:

Oh yeah, we know. But yeah, yeah, yeah.

MAA:

Francois Mitterand’s special advisor, I will only just read a couple—

RF:

Yeah. He’s basically the French counterpart to Dennis Lynn Meadows, I’d say.

MAA:

Yes, yes, and the progenitor of Yuval Noah Harari as well.

RF:

Yeah.

MAA:

I’m just going to read a couple examples of quotes that touch on this topic. He talks about how as soon as you go beyond sixty to sixty-five years old, people live longer than they produce and they cost society dearly.

He’s coming at this from a socialist perspective. So he says, “As a socialist, I am objectively opposed to extending life because it is an illusion, a false problem.”

As a futurist, he’s predicting: 

“Euthanasia will be one of the essential instruments of our future societies in all cases. In a socialist logic, to begin with, the problem is as follows: socialist logic is freedom and fundamental freedom is suicide; consequently, the right to direct or indirect suicide is an absolute value in this type of society.”

So you see how inverted their morality is, and they—

RF:

There is no morality. There is no—the man is stark raving mad. It’s so obvious, I mean, really.

MAA:

Exactly, yeah. And so this is how they justify to themselves these types of measures that are resulting in the mass murder of people.

So then we get into Yuval Noah Harari, who is Klaus Schwab’s advisor, and he does programming for the World Economic Forum. He has been extremely influential. Let’s go ahead and play the Yuval Noah Harari video.

“Maybe in a couple decades when people look back, the thing they will remember from the COVID crisis is this is the moment when everything went digital, and this was the moment when everything became monitored, that we agreed to be surveilled all the time, not just in authoritarian regimes, but even in democracies, and maybe most importantly of all, this is the moment when surveillance started going under the skin.

“Because really, we haven’t seen anything yet. I think the big process that’s happening right now in the world is hacking human beings, the ability to hack humans, to understand deeply what’s happening within you, what makes you go. And for that, the most important data is not what you read and who you meet and what you buy, it’s what’s happening inside your body.

“We have these two revolutions: the computer science revolution, or the infotech revolution, and the revolution in the biological sciences. And they are still separated, and they are about to merge. They are merging around … the biometric sensor. It’s the thing, it’s the gadget, it’s the technology that converts biological data into digital data that can be analyzed by computers. And having the ability to really monitor people under the skin, this is the biggest game-changer of all because this is the key for getting to know people better than they know themselves.…

“COVID is critical because this is what convinces people to accept, to legitimize, total biometric surveillance. If we want to stop this epidemic, we need not just to monitor people, we need monitor what’s happening under their skin, their body temperature …

“I’m not against surveillance, it’s an important tool, especially to fight epidemics. The question is who is doing it, and how. If you give it to a security service to do it, that’s extremely dangerous.

“Yes, now they’re using it to see whether you have the coronavirus, but exactly the same technology can determine what you think about the government. You know, anger is a biological phenomenon, just like disease. It’s not some spiritual thing out there, it’s a biological pattern in your body. With this kind of surveillance, I mean you watch the big president, a big leader give a speech on television, the television could be monitoring you and knowing whether you’re angry or not just by analyzing the cues, the biological cues coming from your body.

“So people are now watching us online, all over the world, this conversation, now, maybe even right now, the people who are watching us are being watched and analyzed.…

“We know that you’re watching this, and we also know how you feel. Are you angry about what you hear? Are you frightened? Are you bored?

“This is the kind of power that Stalin didn’t have. When Stalin gave a speech, everybody of course clapped their hands and smiled. Now how do you know what they really think about Stalin? It’s very difficult. You can’t have a KGB agent following everybody all the time. And even if you do it, he’s just watching your outside behavior. He doesn’t really know what’s happening in your mind. But in ten years, the future Stalins of the twenty-first century, they could be watching the minds, the brains, of all the population all the time and also, they will have the computing power to analyze all it.…

“Now you don’t need human agents, you don’t need human analyzers. You just have a lot of sensors and an AI which analyzes it, and that’s it, you have the worst totalitarian regime in history. And COVID is important because COVID legitimizes some of the crucial steps even in democratic countries.”

RF:

That wraps it all up. I mean, the most embarrassing aspect about this is how these people, these other people, raptly listen to this obviously very shallow b******t of a man who seems to have serious problems. So what? What is really going on? This is what we talked about when we spoke about them in one of our events in Tampa. This is garbled. These people have serious problems with themselves, so if they try to tell us that transhumanism is the solution, well, it may be the solution for them, but not for us, not for us.

MAA:

Right, right. And you raised an interesting point—and I discussed this in more depth in my third part of the series.

But the thing that’s so fascinating about Yuval Noah Harari is he claims to be warning against the possibility that this technology could be used for totalitarian, total surveillance purposes. Yet at the same time, he has—if he is speaking truly and not hiding sinister intentions—he has this unbelievably naïve belief that we can instead turn that technology for good, for beneficence, and it could result in the best possible society. And he wants us to put our faith in institutions. And he wants them to be more controlling of the information that is available. He is promoting censorship of “misinformation,” things like that. And he thinks organizations like the WEF and the WHO are working for the good of humanity. And he’s—

RF:

I don’t think he thinks that. He knows they’re not. I think this man is evil. He just pretends—if he’s a psychopath, then he just pretends he knows. He knows that he’s that. What? What he’s talking about is monstrous.

MAA:

Right, yeah. And he’s trying, he says we should be giving more funds and more power to the WHO, and he is Klaus Schwab’s advisor and so—

RF:

Yeah, right. His muse, they call him his muse.

MAA:

Yes, and you know—let’s say we give Yuval Noah Harari the benefit of the doubt and say, oh, he really is—

RF:

I won’t.

MAA:

I know, I know. But Klaus Schwab is taking his warnings as instruction. And he has implemented exactly what is being warned against, and we are now, as Yuval just very clearly said, it was the COVID crisis that engineered the populace to be accepting of this biosurveillance technology.

Now, in other contexts, he says, oh well, part of the solution to keep us democratic and free is to surveil the governments as well, surveil corporations. Well, once again, unbelievably naïve—he either has no awareness of history, or he is being duplicitous, right?

RF:

No, he’s lying. He’s obviously lying. He’s so close to Klaus Schwab, he must know that Klaus Schwab and the WEF is producing their own politicians. He cannot be that stupid. I don’t think he’s a very smart man, but he cannot be that stupid. He’s lying.

MAA:

Right, right. 

RF:

He’s like—I hate, listen, I hate to cut you short, but we do have another guest who’s sitting in the wings and waiting to come on, so—

MAA:

Eulogy for the COVID Kapos

You mocked us.

You blocked us.

You wished for our deaths.

You shamed us.

You blamed us.

You called for our jailing.

You banned us.

You canned us.

You cut off our funds.

You believed.

You decreed.

You complied.

You denied.

You feared.

You sneered.

You cowered.

You lied.

You followed the leader.

You chanted the slogans.

You balked at our questions.

You scoffed at our research.

You thought you were smarter.

What Is the Alchemy of Moral Courage?

I often contemplate what kinds of influences, experiences, and practices forge the alchemy of moral courage. What can we do to cultivate the foundational values and tendencies that produce individuals who bravely defy unethical orders—the Julian Assanges and Daniel Ellsbergs; the 12 men out of 500 who refused to participate in the Józefów massacre; and the 5 percent Diane Perlman calls Veridos in her theory of the Courageous Personality?

In Ordinary Men, Christopher Browning describes Zygmunt Bauman’s analysis of such people as follows:

“The exception—the real ‘sleeper’—is the rare individual who has the capacity to resist authority and assert moral autonomy but who is seldom aware of this hidden strength until put to the test.”

Diane says Veridos:

“see through deception, investigate truth and have the strength to challenge official narratives. They are truly courageous and refuse to remain silent.… Because information is power, those who expose truth are a threat and must be punished and silenced by the forces of oppressive authority, who need a mystified, pliable populace.”

These are the human beings who place themselves between tyranny and the people, sometimes at the cost of their freedom or even lives.

The most iconic and persecuted Verido alive today, Julian Assange states:

“Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence and thereby eventually lose all ability to defend ourselves and those we love. In a modern economy it is impossible to seal oneself off from injustice.

“If we have brains or courage, then we are blessed and called on not to frit these qualities away, standing agape at the ideas of others, winning pissing contests, improving the efficiencies of the neocorporate state, or immersing ourselves in obscuranta, but rather to prove the vigor of our talents against the strongest opponents of love we can find.

“If we can only live once, then let it be a daring adventure that draws on all our powers. Let it be with similar types whose hearts and heads we may be proud of. Let our grandchildren delight to find the start of our stories in their ears but the endings all around in their wandering eyes.”

What are the ingredients of such a person? Integrity, critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, the willingness to question authority, imperviousness to conformity, skepticism, willpower, the guts to be an upstander, the persistent interrogation of powerful forces—these are some of the fibers that interweave to form a courageous personality.

But how do people develop those traits? As with everything, it comes from a blend of nature and nurture, so we can play a role in the nurture part of this formula by fostering these qualities in others and ourselves from infancy to death.

As I discussed in my “I Protest” podcast with Donald Jeffries, I have been anti-authoritarian since childhood, so nature set me up for life as a dissident.

Nurture could have overridden that inclination with enough menticidal indoctrination, though. Blessedly, many people throughout my life nourished my independence, resilience, and resourcefulness, starting with my mother, who taught me to read before kindergarten; modeled empathy, kindness, creativity, and humor; and encouraged my imagination and interior life.

I recount the indelible influence of my maternal grandmother, Margaret, in this piece, and it is no exaggeration to say I would not be nearly as awake, audacious, and resistant to societal pressures without the inspiration and persistence of my contrarian husband, who also composed the music for the video featured here as well as in Ode to a Whistleblower and Tess Lawrie’s and Mike Yeadon’s readings of Mistakes Were NOT Made: An Anthem for Justice.

The video in this post illustrates my poem Hard Lessons, which introduces you to another instrumental figure (Paul) in my intellectual, spiritual, and moral education. It was inspired after yet another pivotal mentor, Marilyn, asked me to share some anecdotes about Paul for her speech at his retirement dinner. She didn’t have time to read the full poem, so she suggested I record it for Paul and she could share it at the more intimate faculty gathering in his honor today—and thus this video was born as I raced to assemble it over the past few days.

When I cracked the next volume,my eyes alighted on the table of contents—now lost to memory, these werenames I knew, names I felt.

“I can’t do this,” I told her,returning the book to its shelf.“This feels like sacrilege.”

Never one to give up, she persisted.

Then you arrived in the doorway,asking what was happening.I said the acquisitions librarianhad told us to destroy these books,but I could not do it.I would not do it.

You pulled her aside—your disappointed expressionbeing the only course she would ever needin why “just obeying orders”is the inexcusable excuse of thosecomplicit in tyranny, in genocide.

You then rebuked the librarian,rescuing the tomesfrom demolitionand ushering themto shelves befittingof their historic relevance.

Painful as it was,this hard lessoncarved itself intoyour daughter’s heart,teaching her   righteous resistance,   peaceful noncompliance,   daring disobedience.

I practice this homework daily,reciting the one word that distinguishes   the courageous from the culpable,   the critically thinking from the conforming,   the free from the fettered:   “NO.”

It was a lodestarshe would cradle withinfor the remaining two decadesof her luminous life—until the thunderclap strokestruck her down,teaching youthe hardest lesson of all,the one every parentlives in terror of.

Now she is within you,her beloved,her son,her brother,her mother,the innumerablelives she gracedwith her noble presence,following in yourformidable footstepsin the very classroomyou are now departing.

One year ago today, I published the poem that represented the culmination of my research, writings, and understanding at the time of its publication. Assembling the puzzle pieces I had been collecting since 2020, I aimed to form as clear a picture of what had occurred during COVID tyranny as I could in as few words as possible.

To my astonishment, the 333-word poem struck the world like a meteor, later to reach nuclear proportions after I released Dr. Tess Lawrie’s legendary reading set to music by my husband and filmed by Mark Lawrie, director of A Letter to Dr. Andrew Hill—a compulsory video documenting the $cientific fraud that made global totalitarianism and The Great Democide possible.

Anticipating the cooling-the-mark-out phase during which the perpetrators of crimes against humanity would be playing “Mistakes were made” on repeat, I managed to reach some of the key leaders within the freedom community who had inadvertently adopted the mitigating language of the malefactors and who subsequently became enthusiastic proponents of the message that Mistakes Were NOT Made. Chief amongst these brave luminaries is Heavyweight Champion of Truth Dr. Pierre Kory, who not only tweeted out Tess’s video twice but also discussed it during his appearance on the Jimmy Dore Show.

I was invited to tell the Story Behind Mistakes Were NOT Made during the World Council for Health’s General Assembly #82.

The poem has since been translated into more than a dozen languages, thanks in part to World Council for Health’s international team of volunteers. Since it was a conversation with Dr. Mike Yeadon that inspired the poem, he was one of first people I invited to participate in the video series Tess’s reading kicked off. It took several months to find a time when everyone’s schedules aligned, but eventually, Mark Lawrie and his assistant spent hours on the road, braving London traffic and schlepping their equipment to and from the filming location. Mark generously donated his priceless time and talent, and I covered the cost of transportation and his assistant. Nearly everyone reading this is undoubtedly familiar with Mike Yeadon, who brings more than three decades’ worth of scientific knowledge, expertise in respiratory illness, and pharmaceutical industry experience, having served as the chief scientist, vice president, and head of allergy and respiratory research at Pfizer; worked as a biotech sector consultant; and started his own successful biotech that was later acquired by Novartis. I detailed his background and contributions in this piece, which also provides extensive evidence for the intentionality masked by the phrase “Mistakes were made.”

Mike was not only one of the first dauntless, incorruptible heroes to expose the Big Lies, but he possesses a rare alchemy of wisdom, humility, compassion, and fervent honesty that renders him a truth-seeking scout of the highest order. It is no mistake (pun intended ;-) that the first two videos in this series feature the individuals I crowned the King and Queen of Integrity in my one-year Substack anniversary post, and I could not be more honored to have collaborated with them but to also count them among my most treasured friends.
