Character Introduction: Kin no Shita

Kin no Shita is an incubus heartthrob who could charm the scales off an alligator—and probably has. Deomons of all kinds are common in this world, though a true incubus, walking around in the daylight with his companion is rare.

I’d been calling him a succubus. Forget I did that. Please. I’m begging you.

This blue blood dreamboat survives on sexual energy, slurping up desire like it’s Mrs. Piddlehinton’s finest raspberry tart. Sauntering into her red house bakery, he’s a walking temptation with golden hair, cheekbones sharp enough to cut bread, and pretty eyes that scream “trouble” louder than a banshee at a bake sale. His smile, complete with a cheeky fang, is a weapon, and his voice—smooth as melted butter—turns every sentence into a flirty wink. When he snaps his fingers to hush the shop’s bell, you know he’s the kind of guy who makes the room sit up and blush.

Kin’s got a thing for humans, whose juicy emotions are his favorite snack, and he’s got his arm around Lisa, his stunning sidekick, like she’s his personal dessert tray.

But there’s something Margo, our flour-dusted heroine, dosen’t know. She is a walking buffet of pent-up passion, thanks to a pesky geis from her sorcerer dad that locks her chastity tighter than a witch-locked pantry. This spell makes anyone interested in her sick with allergy like symptoms. If they touch her bare skin, they will react to her like a poision, so that all attempts at phsical intimacy kill arousal, they could also, potentally, kill the one who touches her.

Unfortunately for them both, Margo’s bottled up energy is like catnip to an incubus. She doesn’t know she’s radiating enough repressed desire to power a swamp generator, but Kin sure does.

Mrs. Piddlehinton even jokes he’d ditch Lisa for a shot at Margo—or maybe invite her for a spicy group bake. Kin’s a guy who loves a challenge, and Margo’s untouchable vibe is the ultimate blue blood bait.

Chapter 3: Men and HorsesIn Greenly Foggart’s swampy heart, a new shadow loomed—Cailean Rhys, an each-uisge whose beauty masked a predator’s chill. Margo, ever wary of blue bloods, saw his arrival as a taunt, his imperious gaze stirring nightmares of judgment and vulnerability. As rent loomed and Mrs. P’s bakery buzzed, this water spirit’s presence promised trouble—or worse.

What will life be like after the apocalypse?

Nothing. Like. This.

In this story, the world shattered on January 1, 2000—Apocalypse Day—when the veil between realities was torn apart, unleashing magic and chaos across Earth. Cities crumbled, governments disappeared, and a dark fantasies appeared where cities once lit up the sky. Supernatural beings—the blue bloods, now rule and humans are their slaves, or worse, their prey.

Meet The Main Character - this is a first person point of view story.

Margo Sanchu: A 26-year-old human with sun-darkened olive skin and thick black hair. Pretty face, big light- gray eyes. Curvy shape. Cuban descent. An escaped “professional virgin,” she bears the scars of her sacrifices, the missing tips of both pinky fingers are the most glaring scars.

She’s bound with a geis – a spell that keeps her locked in her virginal state and deters any male who is sexually interested in her- no man can touch her without itching, sneezing, or worse.

The only way to end the risk of being forced to serve as a virgin sacrifice is to break the spell and stop being a virgin.

Andres Sanchu: Margo’s father, a sorcerer frozen at age fifty. Obsessed with power, he’d carved her into his tool, using manipulation and lies. She knows that he, and any sorcerer would do anything to get their hands on her and force her back into her role as sacrifice.

Unnamed Mother: A crackhead and latent witch Margo’s mother disappeared before Apocalypse day.

Upcoming Vote: Margo’s mother needs a name. Do you have an enemy we can name her after?

I started writing this world five years ago on wattpad. It’s a mess, but it’s still there. I refined and contiuned the world in the book Claiming Starlight, a very spicy fantasy paranormal mash-up, and I’m continuing it—with your help—in Blue Blood.

Sorcerer (n.)A human practitioner of powerful magic, often aligned with secretive factions like the Sorcerers League, who emerged or gained prominence after Apocalypse Day, January 1, 2000, when magic flooded Earth. Skilled in rituals and spellcasting, sorcerers wielded blood magic—using innocents or "professional virgins" like Margo for potent sacrifices—despite the First Law’s prohibition, enforced by the Reaper. Marked by ambition and manipulation, they sought to control magical beings and artifacts, exploiting ley lines and the post-apocalyptic chaos. Margo viewed them as cruel and obsessive, exemplified by her father, Andres Sanchu, whose abuses left her scarred and convinced they warped humanity into tools for power, their cunning masked by a veneer of purpose.

Blue Blood - Set in The Apocalypse Keys World (Claiming Starlight)

Introduction

The world broke on January 1, 2000—Apocalypse Day, they call it, when the veil between realities shredded and time itself fractured. No one knows why, though I know some people blame secret societies, sorcerers meddling with powers they couldn’t leash. What I know is this: the Earth I was born into isn’t the one my parents knew. Cities crumbled, governments dissolved, and magic flooded in, dragging blue bloods—vampir, shifters, fae, and worse—out of myth and from between veils into the ruins.

Humans like me, a red blood, became prey, pawns, or prizes, depending on who caught us first.

If you’ve been here before, you know Old City—what used to be Chicago—where the book Claiming Starlight began. There, Sophie hunted for her lost brother in a sprawl split between Hyde’s vampir lords and South Bloc’s shifter packs, dodging the fog-choked Barrens and their hungry ghosts. She found more than she bargained for in Micah, a wolf who claimed her under the stars on a wild hunt. That’s their tale—gritty, raw, and tangled in a world where trust is a blade that cuts both ways.

This is mine. I’m Margo, and my story, Blue Blood, drags you south, past Old City’s chaos, into the saltwater flats and humid swamps of Greenly Foggart. Here, stilts prop up shacks against the tide, and the air’s thick with heat and rot.

It’s a crossroads for trolls, naiads, shifters—creatures of lore and time who’d sooner trade your soul than shake your hand. I ran here to escape a sorcerer father who brain washed me into his cult of blood magic into thinking cutting off parts of my body would save us from the monsters.

Turns out, he was the biggest monster of them all. I found safety in a red house but nothing’s free in a world like this.

For those new to this mess, welcome to a world where magic’s real and ruthless, where the Reaper stalks violators of the First Law—killing innocents is forbidden, but everyone bends it—and where humans like me cling to scraps of survival.

This is Blue Blood—a tale of scars, swamps, and a love I don’t trust, in a world that’s forgotten what trust even means. Step in, if you dare.
