This is our first Week In Review episode.

The idea is to give you we give you a brief look at what we did last week and how we are processing through it. This week's episode is a little extra special because we had some technical difficulties. We recorded it 5 different times over 2 nights. It was a little frustrating and discouraging.

You'll hear that when you listen because that's what was going on when we recorded it. That's how we're trying to keep it - real and honest.

This was one of the most defining and marking years of our life. It shaped us in multiple ways, humbling us and causing us to learn dependence upon God in ways we had never known.

In this episode give a basic overview of why we started this podcast and provide some insights into what we are attempting.

Here’s a few things to know:

1. We are trying to keep this as raw and unfiltered as possible. We feel like there are lots of great podcasts that are "clean", edited and nicely done. We love those shows, but we are trying to invite you into our real lives. That means there might be crying kids, subpar sound quality (we record at our kitchen table) and mess-ups. We won’t be making any edits. In fact, we won’t even listen back through it most of the time before posting.
   In short, you get our conversation as it happened, flaws n’ all.
   


2. The above being said, we are going to be sharing our highs and our lows as we go week-to-week. We won’t, however, talk about other people in a negative light. If you know us well you’ll probably notice when we skip over small parts of our story. This is because we want to be careful to not dishonor people. We want to be real about ourselves but not talk about others.
   


3. We to provide you with insight into what we are thinking and how we are processing things that happen in our life. This is very vulnerable and honestly a little scary. But we feel that we need to show you how we really live and to share our true journey with you, not a curated experience that makes us look better than we are.
   


4. Along the way we are going to bring on guests to talk about things we care about or we find interesting. We hope you enjoy those conversations, too!
   


5. In order to create boundaries, we are planning to have paid and unpaid subscription options. The paid subscriptions are where we will be posting more in-depth looks at how and what we are doing, while the unpaid is meant to provide limited access to our lives. We are still working on the logistics, but that is what we are thinking.
   

All that being said, we are excited to share our lives with you. We love our life and want to be an encouragement to anyone who might want or need it.
