He then moved into venture capital with Early Bird Firm and Amidzad. Touraj's entrepreneurial journey included founding Jaxtr and Webs, which was later acquired. He joined GoDaddy as VP of Corporate Development, staying until 2014. Currently, he is the President, COO, and Board Member of Serve Robotics, an autonomous delivery company that recently went public. Touraj is also the author of *Exit Path*, and in this episode, we discuss his views on exits and acquisitions, along with insights into Serve Robotics.

در قسمت دوم، با امیرعلی مهاجر گفتگو کردیم. امیرعلی مدرک کارشناسی خود را در رشته بازرگانی از دانشگاه بریتیش کلمبیا اخذ کرده است. امیر علی سپس در جاهای مختلف دنیا از جمله لندن , تهران و آسیای شرقی تجربه کار در زمینه ی تکنولوژی  را دارد. امیر علی در ایران به عنوان مدیر گروه استپ تریپ فعال بوده و تجربه ی بسیار خوبی در مورد صنعت گردشگردی دارد او الان در سانفریسکو است و روی استارتاپ گردشگری خودش مشغول به کاره.


 


In Episode II, we had a conversation with Amirali Mohajer. Amirali completed his undergraduate degree in Commerce at the University of British Columbia. He then moved to Dubai to work for Deloitte, where he spent three years before relocating to London while continuing his work with Deloitte for an additional six years. Afterward, he returned to Iran and joined one of Rocket Internet's ventures, Snapptrip, as the Managing Director. After two years, he remained in the travel industry but moved to Thailand to join Agoda, which is part of Booking.com, as the Head of Product. Subsequently, he moved to the Bay Area and founded a startup called hostAI. We discussed his perspectives on the online travel industry, specifically in the context of post-Generative AI developments.

In this episode, we had a conversation with Amir Kavousian. Amir completed his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering at Sharif University, then proceeded to Stanford University for his Masters and PhD. He began his career as a data scientist before founding a cybersecurity company, which was later acquired by CoinList. Amir is also an active angel investor in the Bay Area and is currently working on his second venture. We discussed his perspectives on security and AI, as well as the acquisition process.

In this episode, we spoke with Tara Javidi and Sam Bigdeli, co-founders of Soter AI. Soter AI is a deep technology startup that uses Multi Drones and artificial intelligence technology to gather data from oil and gas production sites and processes this data to reduce environmental pollution and increase efficiency.


Tara is a full professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of California, San Diego, and is also an IEEE Fellow. Tara has conducted extensive research in the fields of Active Learning, Stochastic Control, and AI.


Sam Bigdeli has an MBA from the University of Liverpool and was the Chief Financial Operating Officer at MP Advanced Technology, where he increased the revenue to 200 million dollars before exiting.

In this Episode of the SecondPod, we talked with Leila Pirhaji. Leila obtained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Tehran and then earned her PhD in Biosystem/Biological Engineering from MIT.


Dr. Pirhaji published her paper in the prestigious Nature journal in 2016. After her PhD, based on her research in Computational Biology, she founded ReviveMed. Leila is one of the most prominent and pioneering researchers in the application of artificial intelligence in modeling metabolites for treating incurable diseases. In 2020, Leila was recognized by MIT as the top innovator under 35.

In this episode, we talked with Shirin Mojarad. Shirin works at Google as a Generative AI Solutions Architect. Part of her role involves collaborating with Google's product teams and scientists, while another part focuses on working with enterprises to address their needs. Before joining Google, Shirin spent two years at Apple as a Senior Data Scientist.


She obtained her PhD from Newcastle University and is also the author of the book "Practical AI for Business Leaders."


We discussed Google's conditions in the AI battleground and asked Shirin about her thoughts on enterprise needs. Additionally, we explored her fascinating career path in Silicon Valley.

Bahar is the Development Engineering Manager at Apple, specializing in Cell design. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology and earned her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston. Bahar is highly focused on Lithium Batteries, and we had a great discussion about this industry, its challenges, and the possible future directions it might take. In our episode with Steven Zhang, we talked about his educational background and career journey. Steven obtained a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from the University of California, Davis, and an MBA from the Goizueta Business School. He entered the Private Equity industry in 2017, particularly focusing on Real Estate. In 2019, Steven founded Yi-Investment. We discussed the housing market conditions in the US and predictions for the coming year. In the second part, we delved into the story of WeWork and discussed the Goldman Sachs report.
