It gives Henry a moment to suggest a mother path to the Cabbie, which he doesn't take. later, the state police stop Henry and Danny to correct him, to inform him the Caroline was an informant, and to let slip that she was dead. Pidge wakes up in the middle of the same night to discover that her new boyfriend is passed out on medical grade heroin. She throws herself a life line and drives away.

Meanwhile, Henry Coffin meets Caroline’s sister, and she brings some pictures that make the investigation complicated.

But, it occurs to me that many people listen to books as well as read them. If I record it, many more people can meet Henry and, I hope, buy his books.

I have recorded this before, on a chapter by chapter manner. However, those recordings were for me. They helped me edit. Now, this recording helps me edit as well, but the story is much, much closer to being finished now.

This story takes place on Henry Coffin’s Nantucket, which is no longer real, if it ever was. Henry’s Nantucket resembles the real one, but from 2005. Many stores and restaurants still exist in memory, if not in reality. As writer, you hav to plant your foot in the ground somewhere. It might as well be around 2005. Now, real world events will not intrude on the island. The President is somewhere else, as is Europe. The island Henry lives on resembles the one that is out there right now, but separated from our time.

I have written four Henry Coffin novels. These days, I am writing novellas that are easier to read in the bathroom on your phone.

In this section, Pidge calls upon Paul Brody, she visits his house on the shore, has dinner, and makes a separate peace with her husband-to-be. Henry Coffin attends the funeral events for Meaghan Ingersoll, where, at the end, he hears about a man who saw Caroline Bird.

In this section, Henry Coffin discovers Meaghan Ingersoll in a tent in the moors, dead. Saddened, Coffin confronts Pink. Chief Bramden pulls Sergeant Abraham into the station for “instructions.” He then brings Henry Coffin to his house in order to convince the old man not to endanger him.
