I got to know Maggie and Shane from seeing multiple concerts as a member of the music club, The Rook. They have been my favorite music duo of all the musical artists presented to-date. Maggie and Shane are visually engaging, musically talented, and warmly personable. They have some award-winning songs, and they also were the singers in the movie, Reagan, where they were featured singing a twist on the Four Seasons song, “My Eyes Adored You.” Quite the movie placement for a young duo!

Listen to the rest of the story and get links to favorite tunes Here.

Recommended Wines

2023 Dr. Loosen Erdener Treppchen Riesling Kabinett $25

Robert Parker, 92 Points

NV Szigeti Gruner Veltliner Brug, sparkling wine, $24

Robert Parker, 90 Points

2023 Nikolaihof Hefeabzug Gruner Veltliner, Wachau Austria, $36

Wine Spectator, 91 Points

2019 Friedrich Becker Pfalz Pinot Noir, Pfalz, Germany $27

Wine Enthusiast, 90 Points

Get full access to Wine Wanderings at triciawinewanderings.substack.com/subscribe

Tricia Conover

<itunes:author>Tricia Conover</itunes:author><itunes:explicit>No</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>168</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://substackcdn.com/feed/podcast/249161/post/202184833/b7724926fe5a2aa70f43c2b2a1d16d56.jpg"/>

Bubbles & Holidays: A Perfect Pairing (Podcast)

Holiday parties are upon us. Nothing sets the stage for a party guest more perfectly than being offered a glass of bubbles from an ornate silver tray. Great bubbles are found all over the world. All special occasions call for sparkling wine, but winter holiday parties demand an impressive sparkler. I receive more emails requesting sparkler and Champagne suggestions in December than at any other time of the year. People are confused with how to select a type or style of sparkling wine. Should it be domestic or international? How should it be chilled and served? What food pairs with sparkling wines? They even ask, “What is the proper etiquette for giving a Champagne toast?” See newsletter: “Bubbles & Holidays: A Perfect Pairing.”

Get full access to Wine Wanderings at triciawinewanderings.substack.com/subscribe

Tricia Conover

<itunes:author>Tricia Conover</itunes:author><itunes:explicit>No</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>661</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://substackcdn.com/feed/podcast/249161/post/45884871/e5815bb3a4f2b4f046c0ae7e42b7a9ce.jpg"/>
