Over the last 6 years I have shared, in real time, what it’s like to be a nurse working in a system that has harmed me and the patients I cared for. These stories have been shared by thousands of healthcare workers worldwide across social media platforms. The resounding feedback I’ve received over the years have been signals that I am not alone in my experiences but I am one of few who have shared so openly.

Our stories have power.

Healthcare systems have a vested interest in controlling the narratives of healthcare workers to obscure the reality of caring for people under capitalism.

What we know to be true is that these systems are not working for anyone as they exist.

What we know to be true is that we all deserve better.
