I found this delightful little photo of us with some of our business besties from back in the day. It’s so fun to think about how each of us has grown since 2019 when we all shared space at our “Network Like it’s 2024” Event. Hahaha. It just hit me that this was an event to help us each embody our future selves, 5 years in the future. Isn’t it ironic that we’re just now catching up with ourselves?

Back then, I showed up dressed in character as a retreat leader. I had yet to run my first retreat, but I did the following year in February 2020. I remember Megan’s intentions of speaking to large audiences and teaching at huge venues. I also remember brainstorming with her as she worked out the kinks to prepare for her big debut a couple of years ago at an industry conference for marketing professionals. I love that we both were able to step into the visions we had for ourselves, individually. Now here we are, actually stepping into 2024 and collaborating on a series of Business Retreats and an incubator, together. I don’t think I could dream of something so big at the time.

This behind-the-scenes episode is a snippet of an interview-style convo that we had recently about Your Wild Success. Don’t expect a fancy intro and outro yet. Or even an introduction at all. This is us, Erica Jones and Megan Seeley sharing a deeper explanation of what we’re about, what we’re creating, and how we think it can help you and your business thrive.

Despite the fact that we’ve both had podcasts before and teaching (and speaking) aren’t new to us, we’re a little rusty. Maybe even robotic at the start (lets be honest, we’re still finding our groove with all the things). So, why am I sharing this tiny intro episode? We could have recorded it a dozen more times for perfection. But we didn’t. Here’s why:

* We have more important things to do than be perfect. Like launch and share these transformational offerings to help people like you.

* To normalize the process. Nothing brand new will be perfect. It’s just facts. We all get better over time. So we’re here for the evolution and trusting the process.

* I (Erica) am a recovering perfectionist and I intentionally practice leaving things imperfect to stretch myself and my comfort zone. Because freaking out over not being perfect keeps me from showing up and doing the work I’m called to do. Sorry Megan (#notsorry 🤣🥰)

* Our community isn’t going to show up because we’re polished and perfect. You’re going to read, listen, and hang out with us because we’re like you, because we give you permission to be even more of your badass (and quirky) self, and because we’re all in this self-development-course-you-never-thought-you-wanted aka business building journey together and trying to figure out how to live well in the process.

We’re also not here to tell you what to do. What works for me or Megan or anyone else might not be right for you. And that’s ok. Because diversity helps an ecosystem thrive. Right now, we’re here to grow strong roots in rich, nourishing soil. We each have something valuable to offer to the collective. We know you do too. And we want to help you break free, be your true self, and build the business you desire so you can flourish.

At the end of the day, the thriving, balanced humans are going to be the ones who have the energy and resilience to change this world for the better. We’re here to do our part. We hope you’ll join us. 💞
