I had so much fun with my September “conversation turned podcast” with Owen Paepke about what younger generations have at stake with the 2024 presidential election, I couldn’t wait to do it again. This conversation with Owen follows up on his Substack post “If not Biden or Trump, then Who?”. Millions of Americans have expressed their desire to avoid a 2020 Presidential contest redo, seems fertile ground for a third party run by… somebody. In this conversation we discuss why we’re in the situation that we’re in and polish up the crystal ball for some future gazing at who that somebody might be.

My wife, Kathy, and I recently had the pleasure of hosting Linda and Owen Paepke for dinner at our house. While dinner was cooking, I ambushed Owen, asking him if I could interview him regarding his latest column on Substack, titled "Keeping America's Promise to Younger Generations". Out of this conversation comes the first of what will hopefully be many future Next Steps Podcasts. This is a conversation just like the millions that are occurring daily around America's dinner tables.
