We are excited to announce that we have added to our roadmap a Video Sharing Platform for video on demand (VOD) and later for streaming video. This platform will sit adjacent to Esports Fight Club and allow us to expand VOD content acquisition via our current VOD library which is substantial but unused, new streamer VOD uploads and third party compiled highlights (such as EFC tournaments).

The Video Sharing Platform will give us more control over content produced, monetization, sponsorship, branding, merchandising & VRA rewards and will work seamlessly with Esports Fight Club.

The platform will feature our proprietary EFC video player, ad stack with rewarded VRA for watching ads and/or content and will include search functions and other features. The ad stack will feature our ad network partners. Streaming partners will be able to create their own customized pages within the platform. This is not merely the addition of a video player but an entire Video Sharing ecosystem dedicated to esports and gaming.

We have already begun developing and testing the Video Sharing Platform and it will be launched in Q1 2021 with additional features added throughout the year.

Launching in Q1 2021 means that some Roadmap products and features will be delayed, however, this will be for the greater benefit for Verasity since the Video Sharing Platform opens up more immediate revenue opportunities and allows for greater exposure to the VRA token.

The combination of Esports Fight Club and the Video Sharing platform is unique as most platforms offer only one or the other. We believe providing the two together will increase adoption and monetization opportunities since users can enjoy one integrated platform for both demands.

For example, some of the 8.6M users we had on the Esports Fight Club platform would have continued onto the Video Sharing Platform to view streamers’ pages and evergreen esports content while checking in for new tournaments. This will improve stickiness giving users a reason to return to the site more often and to stay on for longer. A win-win for VRA adoption.

Once the platform for both Video sharing is running smoothly with our ad partners integrated via our ad stack, Proof of View will launch which will verify valid ads, reducing ad fraud and increasing CPM values.

For weeks, we’ve been discussing the strength of BTC fundamentals (hash rate ATHs anyone?) in the context of sideways prices. It seems, however, that the last few days have finally seen a major move.
