Spring to Fall is the busiest time on a Homesteading Farm like Briden Farm BridenFarm.com and then, as the days grow shorter, and the nights longer, it allows me more time to write, record, and create!

So, here are a couple of AI Generated pictures that describe the High and Low…

In reverse order …

The Low …

And ….

The High!

By the way, I’ve also been finding time to turn my Poems, Writing, and ideas, into So gas! I’m quite happy to do so and it’s actually encouraging me to write more! In fact, surprisingly, it’s even got me reading my Bible more! Here’s why …

As I use my poems and writing, and other ideas to create songs, using Songer, it encourages me to write more, to have more fresh stuff to draw on. Do so has even led me to launch a New Music Release! I Even created a Music Video on YouTube!

The reason it’s helping me read my Bible more is I’m also creating a New Release of Gospel Music! It’s speaks of not only my own personal believes and Journey, but of my family’s history and journey as well.

A Rough Ashler is a stone, chosen by the workman in a quarry and taken and worked upon by a Master Craftsman. The Ashler gets the rough edges knocked off!

I say knocked off as that’s how it’s been in my life.

Like the Israelites who took 40 years to complete a 2 month journey!

As I read it, the Bible says the reason it took so long was Their own stubbornness and obstinance, and likewise I too know that my Journey has been much longer, rougher, and more broken, than it needs to be!

If I’d just let the Master Craftsman do His Work in me.

From the standpoint of My Great Grand Father, Sidney D. Burrill, a Freemason, over the Eastern Jurisdiction in Atlantic Canada in the early 1900s, and Grand High Priest of the Nova Scotia Royal Arch in 1937 - 1938, I’m sure He’d agree!

He was one of many of my Grandfathers, and Great Uncles, and Cousins, who were Freemasons. A long Masonic Family History and I am now keeper of our Masonic Family Bible that dates back even further to my 2nd Great Grandfather in the mid to late 1800s. Two of His daughter’s middle names were StClair and Saint George. His Grand Mother being a Sinclair! That dates back to the 1700s. Her Father being a Henry, not Thee Henry!

So, after much conversation and contemplation I too become a Freemason and chose to enter the York Rite through the Royal Arch, and proceeded through the Degrees to become a Knight Templar. Sworn to Defend and Protect Christian Faith.

That is something that has been near, and dear, to me for 50 Years. Most of this is self explanatory in the music video, yet I thought I should add a personal note.

Additionally, the song was created using Songer, a Song Creation Platform. By the way, when You get your free Songer account I’ll get a few free credits and it’ll let me create more Songs! I’d appreciate You Support!

The Words to the Rough Ashler’s Prayer, I wrote, actually the concept and a bit about what I wanted included, and Songer created the rest of the song, with music and vocals! No, it’s not me hitting those High Notes! Or the low ones either for that matter!

I’m very surprised at how well Songer did on creating the actual song.Based on the heartfelt information I provided of course.

After using Songer to create the Song, I then used DeepAI, which is Free, to create the pictures and then used Canva to put the whole thing together into a video!

Definitely a labour of Love.

I hope You enjoy the song and video as much as I have creating it. I pray that it’ll touch all who listen to it. If You’re interested in more information about becoming a Christian, or a Freemason or learning more about Freemasonry … ASK1-2B1

Brian Hurlburt, Author is a reader-supported publication. It sounds a little funny when she says, “I’m your host Brian Hurlburt “. Cause, obviously that’s not me speaking!

However, I am here, at Briden Farm, and I do love the way this Podcast come together and the way the information flows. Perhaps even better than if I’d written the script and spoke the words myself.

Sometimes it’s good to use the tools at our disposal! Like a Carpenter building a house, the old hand hewn beams are beautiful, but to get that kind of work today when the tools are available to make a home in less time with less effort, I guess it makes sense to do so!

Don’t work though, as good as Abby is, I’m still here learning, working, thinking and growing in ways I’d never have even imagined 50 years ago!

If You’re an Author, Poet, Writer, or other Creator and You’d like to help me develop a Supportive Communit. One where we can lift each other up, while we’re learning to Think, Create, and Promote our craft, and each other! As the season shifts from Winter to Sp nature aligns perfectly with the needs of those that depend on it.

Longer days mean more sunlight, naturally triggering a hen’s laying cycle after the long, slower, darker, winter months.

Fresh greens start sprouting, buds, bugs, and worms all spring forth providing a richer, more varied diet that leads to healthier birds and more nutrient-dense eggs. It’s as if the whole world wakes up just in time to give the hens exactly what they need to thrive.

Beyond food and light, spring also brings warmer temperatures, which make for happier, more active hens. When aloud outside They scratch and forage with renewed energy, enjoying the abundance of insects and other things that start to appear.

These insects may be creepy-crawlys to us, but provide an excellent source of protein to boost their egg production. Even their instinct to hatch and raise chicks is perfectly timed, as spring offers the most abundant conditions for new life.

The softer ground makes dust baths easier, helping them stay clean and free of parasites. It’s a beautiful reminder that nature has a rhythm that provides for its creatures.

The hen doesn’t have to force anything … Except for the Eggs!

The Hen, as with other creatures, she simply respond to the world around her, taking what’s given and making the most of it. Maybe there’s a lesson in that for us, too.

Book! Book! Noom, yes the Health App People, bought The Wisdom App, sometime ago. So, some of us who were around, in one form or another have morphed into something new. I don’t post Talks on there as much as I once did, mainly for BridenFarm.com, our Homesteading Farm, in Bear River, Nova Scotia. However, now that I’m concentrating more on my writing and, dare I say, a little less on the “Farm”, it’s coming time for me to do more Talks, and start Podcasting Again. So, now I’m sorting out the best way to do that with, um, ah, let’s say, Healthy Approach!? Well, that brings us to this Podcast Episode, and Story Time! After all, who doesn’t enjoy a good story! I know I do!

I expected to read one, or two, of my Stories, that I’ve written and have posted, either here at brianhurlburt.substack or at medium.com/@brianhurlburt

I thought I might, possibly, have a surprise Guest, and much to my Surprise I had 3.

Rachel LaCoste, Stephanie Anne Webb, and Peter Carrington! All of them help make this a great Talk! Listen in and hear each of them tell their stories too!

Brian Hurlburt, Author is a reader-supported publication.
