Surrendering and wholeheartedly letting go. Watching the magic unfold. I talk about many different topics whether they are deep, or sometimes banal, metaphysical, practical in nature but essentially it's about taking responsibility for yourself. It's about gaining clarity and cutting through confusion. It's about loving yourself and accepting yourself as you are, and through that developing the capacity to love and accept others as they are and life as it is. If any of this resonates then please subscribe and share. And don't forget to take that first step! Let’s connect 😊❤️

(And Why We Don’t Anymore)

In today’s impromptu episode (because you know I cannot script to save my life), I talk about something that’s been sitting with me while I’ve been reading fiction lately:

Why do the women on the page, the so-called heroines, move with so much clarity, self-respect, steadiness, and quiet courage… and why is it so hard for us to do that in our actual lives?

I’m not saying “people these days are the worst.” I include myself in this completely.

This is more of a gentle noticing:

how easily we abandon ourselves in real life vs how fiercely fictional women stay rooted

how we normalise behaviour that would never feel okay in a novel

and what it might mean, in 2025, to live with a little more of that old-school integrity without turning ourselves into martyrs

This is not a polished lecture. It’s just me, talking to you, from where I’m at — slightly sleepy, still returning after a break from the podcast — and wondering out loud:

What would it look like if we chose to become the heroine in our own actual story, not just admire her on the page?

Mentioned:

taking a break / where I’ve been

why I struggle with notes and “performing polish”

early thoughts for a new series on Real Life Heroines

Thank you for being here. Through all the ums and ahs, and the winding pauses.

This is a public episode.
