Yesterday, I decided to follow the latest suspicious guy to see which deputy he would meet after peeping in my office window and then yanking on the door. Or maybe he was actually just looking for me.

Turns out he lied about even coming to my office.

You decide for yourself if Deputy Jake Navarro is telling the truth. I'm constantly surveilled and followed, so naturally I'm on edge. It's dangerous to report public corruption anywhere, but especially in Bay County.

I don't share the majority of suspicious incidents with you. And I wouldn't have posted this one until I discovered that this man was implicated in armed robbery more than a decade ago in Mexico Beach. And that one of his many profile accounts indicates he has been involved with hurricane relief and with the City of Parker.

He was a smart and capable guy. Now he appears to be down on his luck. Even when I confronted him, he was friendly and struggling to get his story straight. Please don't badmouth the man in the comment section. What he needs is our prayers and some real support.

On the other hand, what the Bay County Sheriff's Office needs is some accountability. Another factor that led me to share this post is my opinion that Deputy Jake Navarro is a dirty cop.

I know him from my radio days a dozen years ago. He never liked me, and that's Kool and the Gang. His antipathy toward me has continued in uniform as he made rabid posts on Facebook defending former Mayor Mark "Money Mover" Sheldon and other local RACKETEERS.

Perhaps it was a wild coincidence that Deputy Navarro and this man happened to meet each other at the same location after spending time together minutes before.

I have made a public record request for Deputy Navarro's body camera footage.

Here are just a few reasons I believe Deputy Navarro is a dirty cop:

1. Navarro was evicted recently after damaging his rental apartment and then threatening to arrest the owner for harassment. Then he lied to a local Judge about it. He was ordered to move out within 24 hours, and he was excoriated by the Judge. He put the owner through hell.

2. Navarro was the responding officer when Sheriff Ford's 18-year-old Cadet of the Year crashed into a lady on Tyndall Parkway recently and then fled the scene. Parker Police destroyed witness notes and lied about the accident to the Court, and they painted the victim out as a villain. Sheriff Ford's Cadet of the Year is on her way to Trooper School after being protected by powerful people with badges.

3. Navarro was a key player in the Sheriff's hit on our home. More details to follow ...

Here are a few main points about these continuing supposed coincidences: Don't be a dirty cop, quit surveilling and harassing citizens and journalists, and don't yank on my door and lie about it.

I hate making these kinds of posts because I don't like commenting on regular folks who are down on their luck. But I can't shake the feeling that Sheriff Ford and his select few are exploiting people to do their dirty work. They need help but instead they're being trafficked essentially.

It needs to stop.
